Funny story: I was playing a Cooking Mama game when the smoke detector at my grandpas house went off. Luckily it’s just low battery, but I kinda find it funny because it’s like I did so terribly at virtual cooking that a real life smoke detector went off!

I'm suprised that you didn't make much mention of Let's Cook in this video. Especially being the most recent game in the series. But it makes sense since most on them are on systems central for gaming and Let's Cook is a mobile game.
We all love food, food is delicious, but having the same thing back-to-back gets tiresome. And somehow, Cooking Mama managed to turn that monotony up to 11.
I was obsessed with this series as a kid and got all the games for ds (and still have them) and recently picked up the switch game. I still sometimes pick up the older games and replay them, they're part of the reason why I love baking as a hobby so much
I loved the crafting one. I had it in a combo pack with number 3, but I played the cratfting one a lot more. You got to make things, decorate and dress up mama with the clothes you made, and there where mini games you could play for each thing. My only problem with it was that I wanted more crafts

Cooking Mama is one of those franchises that I looked forward to it getting an enhanced entry ever since I heard how great it was… that day never came sadly. Now seeing how tofu-like these games are against the market and each other, I’ll just wait for another more fun and innovative icon to take the stage.
My baby brother owned Cooking Mama: Cook Off. I don’t know why, but he was absolutely terrified of the 3D lobster. Whenever it would show up on the screen, he would run out of the room screaming.
I haven’t found anyone who has said this yet, but I’ve always felt like the first 3 DS games had graphics WAY superior to anything they released afterwards. The biggest part of the charm of cooking mama to me was always how colorful and nice everything looked. Like, all of the pixel art was wonderful and so were the end result illustrations, and the mixed style of pixel art and 3d the food had was so pleasing to look at. It reminds me of those japanese food illustrators I sometimes see where they give the food a thick, distinct outline with lots of detail and sparkle inside. I honestly thought the 3ds games were unplayable for this reason. It’s like they lost their glimmer. All of the style and charm were replaced with bland 3d graphics and it’s just not as nice to look at overall, and it felt slower, too.
I actually absolutely loved the first Cooking Mama, and I didn't know there were more Cooking Mama games released afterwords until Cookstar was released and people started going back to look at the other previous games lol.
As someone that went to school for culinary management is fine to cut vegetables on the same board as squid as long as they are being sautéed or cooked as the residuals would not matter in that case. If it were for a salad tho.........

I'm suprised that you didn't make much mention of Let's Cook in this video. Especially being the most recent game in the series. But it makes sense since most on them are on systems central for gaming and Let's Cook is a mobile game.
I love your deadpan humor. Glad I was shown your channel by the Golden Bolt.
We all love food, food is delicious, but having the same thing back-to-back gets tiresome.
And somehow, Cooking Mama managed to turn that monotony up to 11.
I was obsessed with this series as a kid and got all the games for ds (and still have them) and recently picked up the switch game. I still sometimes pick up the older games and replay them, they're part of the reason why I love baking as a hobby so much
I only ever played Cook Off for the Wii and it was honestly a blast. I guess I hadn't been worn down by the previous games.
the cookstar version's photo mode is my mom (she always takes pictures of the foods she makes)
When it comes to Nintendo moms, I'll take 5-Volt over Mama any day!
Both are fine. I can imagine them getting together and chatting.
I loved the crafting one. I had it in a combo pack with number 3, but I played the cratfting one a lot more. You got to make things, decorate and dress up mama with the clothes you made, and there where mini games you could play for each thing. My only problem with it was that I wanted more crafts
19:05 the willpower to say such things with a straight face is mind blowing.
The entire franchise might take place in a home ec classroom
Game: don't shake the baby
Us: What CANT HEAR YOU?
I had the original Cooking Mama on DS since I was 7 years old and I still love it today
1:22 Lol, Arlo would be so jealous!
Im so happy for his sponser, on arlocast episode 1 he was going on and on about how much he would love to be sponsered by hello fresh.
Watching a dude talk about a mountain game of a series, saying it's the same game over and over again with humorous jokes? Yes, sign me up!
That hello fresh sponsorship is hilarious because when you said “I love this service. It’s great!”, I could just imagine someone holding a gun to you, making you say that.
OH MY GOD YES YES YES. I loved these games so much as a kid. I had every one even gardening and crafting mama! Never tried the wii ones tho. Thanks for the flashbacks!
I had a lot of fun playing Cook Off with my nephews. The motion controls just made it that much funnier.
AntDude is quickly becoming one of if not my favorite TH-camrs. Every time I see an upload in my subscription feed I know I'm in for a treat.
They put a new Cooking Mama game on the Apple Arcade. The food looks like way more realistic.
Also the ice cream mini game you mention in Cooking Mama 5 that you liked, there is a small game on the 3DS called Johnny’s Payday Panic and that ice cream mini game is in it.
I love how you talked about making this video when you got a hello fresh sponsorship on the Arlocast, so when I saw this video, I had to come check if you actually got the sponsorship
I LOVED the original Cooking Mama so much as a kid. She's why the touch screen on my DS is only technically still functional. Worth it.
Cooking Mamma 2 was the one I played a ton as a kid, still have it too! It's embedded into my mind. Cooking Mamma TWO! Dinna wif friends!
Cooking mama 2 was my first introduction to the series.
No one will ever be as good as MaMa
hearing cooking mama say “pics or it didn’t happen” is the weirdest thing i’ve heard in like a month.
I never thought I’d live to hear Ant say, “It is finally time to take the Mama fun outside”

I have one game left in a series to collect myself so I can relate AntDude!
Which one?
@@christiansantiago5330 Shantae physically on Switch
8:48 I made the same noise spongebob did when he tried snail po
I actually absolutely loved the first Cooking Mama, and I didn't know there were more Cooking Mama games released afterwords until Cookstar was released and people started going back to look at the other previous games lol.
As someone that went to school for culinary management is fine to cut vegetables on the same board as squid as long as they are being sautéed or cooked as the residuals would not matter in that case.
If it were for a salad tho.........
Didn't expect this man to go off about portfolios, but I'm here for it.
What a blast from the past! Cooking Mama was one of my first DS games and I’ve still got the original till this day. I remember the learning curve was just so steep for me but I didn’t care cause it was all so crazy!
Do you happen to remember which hello fresh meal you were making in this video?? It looked SO GOOD 👏
