Great Video, thank you so much. I'm still confused about one major thing though. Can anyone help make this clearer? When I check my exact phrase and it's fine to use (such as Mental Health Matters) do I have to ensure that the individual words are not trademarked separately?
Hello Christina, first of all great videos on tiktok and youtube❤️ I have a question though, I’m kind of lost and unsure about which niche for t-shirts should I go after? What niches would you recommend?❤️
You forgot to tell people to always check often even if something isn't TM now and it weeks, months or years. Always need to check for it monthly or weekly.
@@Kyotopearlin market a paid tool available for it , Merch informer somthing, we have to add our keywords to it and it check every day and if some keywords trademarked then this tool send email to you that you have to remove the keyword.
what you said in the beginning really worries me🙁 Is it really not smart to use tags of for example a videogame when you design a shirt that is not using tramemarked or copyrighted material?
They can trademark sentences in terms of brands. Like here it shows you can’t use “mental health matters” when it comes to teaching products! Look up word mark trademarks
@@NANA-fv4kf "A standard character trademark contains a combination of prescribed letters, numbers and symbols without any claim to a particular font, size or design" If they trademarked "mental health matters" for tshirts, any shirt that says "mental health matters" falls under that. But youre right in that they cant block you for using it in your everyday language or putting on things that you arent selling.
this is a risky half truth and it leads other new etsy sellers in the wrong direction. its true that there are trademarks of words in combination with logos, but there can be trademarks for words only. Its a high risk to work without checking if they are trademarked first. this is basis knowledge for POD sellers, so i assume you weren't one at the time of this comment
This is still very unclear to me. I purchased your course as well and came here to see if it was more in-depth but it’s the same exact video as your paid lessons. You don’t go much into depth with this topic and it’s very important. You use one example. Can you do more for this topic please or at least for us who have paid the $400?
Hey! I noticed your comment about this being the same video as the one in her paid course, I have been on the fence about signing up for it myself. Do you think it's worth it or is most of the content the same as her YT and TT videos? Appreciate any feedback!
I discovered you on tiktok, but it's good to see you on YT as well...
Always straight to the point good content!! Ty!
Do you recommend starting an LLC or just start on esty? Can you also do a how to get an EIN #?
Thanks Christina! That was a really good video.
Thank you! What about song lyrics and changing a word or two of the lyric?

Hi Christina, how can i check for quotes trademarks, sayings, or even quotes from chatgpt after rewriting them and making them unique;

What does dead mean? Can we use the dead ones? What is the website your looking at?
Nice
The word 'Clowder' is word marked for software. Can I use 'Clowder Dad' on my t-shirt to show that I own a bunch of cats?
How to check copyright? Is there a website like uspto..
What about quotes from a TV show or movie?
What is the difference of "copyright" and "Trademark". Or are they the same. I see a lot of "whisper words of wisdom" on t shirts.

Since you have such good advice…HOW would you do that? Especially if you have hundreds of listings?

Have you ever had something taken down?
Hello, Are you in Canada or in USA?
In Canada! 😁

Yup. Etsy could flag your shop for these tags.
Oke sad, thanks though!
What about…graphic tees. How do we check for copyright?
This is the same! itll say under the trade mark what this can't be printed on. If it doesnt say shirts then youre good to go
Nope... I am in the website, and there is no option for tss..totally different options
This is an old video, I just posted a new update this week! Check out my newest video
When it comes to trademarks one needs to have a logo and a specific category. One cannot trademark a language
