I had the Adams Graphene Spray Coating put on when my car was fully detailed back in 2020, and I kept up with the detailing with the Adams Graphene Detailing Spray. It was extremely glossy when it was first installed and the detailer spray helped maintain the gloss and hydrophobic qualities for a long time. There's a Short video on my channel of when it was first applied. The Adam's Graphene products and Ceramic SiO2 products are some of my favorite products that I still use today!
I think i had a negative experience with this product. Firstly, the gallon i ordered was clear in color as opposed to dark grey and had specs of black material in it. Secondly the product was very streaky and I had to cut it with water to use properly. Ive used their regular detail spray before and its great and I assumed this would be similar just with graphene and ceramics. Maybe i just received a chemical that separated or was damaged by temperature in the shipping process. In this product segment though I dont think anything comes close to Xtreme solutions Topper.
I use the Adams graphene detail spray....it seems like it is pretty slick and glossy. Doesn't offer much protection so I don't see this as a realistic coating topper. I'm sure it works fine but I doubt for any longer than a week or so.
For a detailer, I will give the longevity a 10/10. That's pretty impressive for a detailer. Now if you want to judge it against a spray wax then I can see you giving it a 5
Thanks for the video. In my real life testing it doesn’t do well as a drying aid, it streaks a lot and not easy to apply but it might also have to do with the fact that I’m mobile and in the sun. Sure enough I watched a video from Adams YT channel and they did confirm it’s not best used as a drying aid as their other detail sprays but rather as a stand-alone protection or as a ceramic booster when applied dry.
i found that it streaked a lot too but as it says on the bottle less is indeed more. i usually go around with a buffing towel afterwords and get out the remaining streaks
@@luckstersants6362 It looks really good after applying but doesn't last nearly as long as they say it will. I've switched to Diamond body 36. That seems to be holding up a lot better and looks great!
Adams definitely makes quality products and this is no exception. To be honest I have never bought this product and I have no plans to buy it now. The durability is the same as sheeting products and the gloss is ok but not Titan level. Thank you for the video.
Adams' detailers are highly recommended. Avid Slick and Slide user. And to use without any streak on glass etc. Very good. Their sprayer quality is also top notch. Nebulizes without drops etc.
I was surprised to see this available at my local Auto Zone. I checked availability online and sure enough they have it here. Pretty surprising for a small southern town even though AZ is a national chain. It's nice to have some decent OTC stuff available in a pinch,or if you don't want to wait for shipping.
I used CarPro Si02 for years to protect my car. I put this product on top of it. This product made the car glossier, but stops the car from tight round beading as well as straight up Si02. As this wears off, the car begins to bead up more with tight round beads after heavy rains an also develops river like runoff. Looking out the window right now, the car has had this on for 2.5 weeks and is beginning to wear. It takes very little to coat the car and it is very easy to apply. I would definitley recommed this as a topper.
I’ve been using it for a while, very easy to use and nice added gloss. I’m a little concerned with shelf life though, I have experienced separation that at first was fixed with a nice shake but as the product gets older I’m having to shake for at least a minute and a half now. Product is stored in a climate controlled area
Solution Finish is *crazy* for separation. It has a ball bearing in it. But as it gets older and sits for awhile it takes literally a full minute of hard shaking to even get it moving. I almost gave up. But my bottle is several years old now.
Do you ever test the level of UV protection any of these products provide? I consider that to be a valuable piece of information when selecting a product since one of the main reasons to wax/seal/coat the paint is to protect it from UV degradation.
I suppose it's not such a bad thing for the price. It can be used as a clay lube as well? I know of plenty lubers that cost more than $12.99 and they can't be used for anything else but a lube. Looks like a winner.
As a quick detailer I would give it a 9. There a a lot out there that don’t even come close to Adam’s graphene detailer. Will be interesting to try it out soon
Looks like decent stuff. Weird it failed from heat, that's an area where graphene is supposed to excel. I don't like detail sprays that apply like a spray sealant. If I have to worry about checking it over with a scangrip for streaks, it's not a good detail spray in my opinion. They need to be quick and easy to apply for me to buy them twice. Thanks B! 👍
Used this in my business a gal of it on a few different maintenance clients, summer months in fl didn't last long at all winter.(fl not so hot summer) it seemed to last a month and a half or so. My maintenance program is every 2 weeks so I got to stay on top of it and see it through the best it could. opted out for a cheaper qd that last a lil longer.
I just got my notification of my coating shipping out from apex!! Can't wait to apply it!! Have high hopes!! Brian doesn't put his name on something unless it's top notch!!
My experience with this product has been unexpected. I’ve been using the original Adam’s spray on graphene spray for the last couple of years. I usually wash at least once a month with Adam’s graphene wash for maintenance. However I wanted something in between chances to wash since I live in an apartment and am switching to mostly rinseless washing. I know the graphene detail spray doesn’t give more gloss than the spray coating but it seems to have a warmer appearance and now has more depth. Where the spray coating definitely has more gloss and more of a mirror like finish, at least in my opinion. I’m not sure if I prefer it but I’m actually leaning towards it. Since I’m in an apartment it stays outdoors year round and it’s been a month and still performing well through a few rains and the brutal Texas heat. However I don’t know if it’s performing better layered over the spray coating as opposed to it by itself. Hope it helps!
Oh yeah! The thing that blew me away! So I have a bad back and couldn’t wash my car for month or so after and it got bombed by birds. I had some pretty noticeable bird poop etchings on the hood. I had purchased some one step compound/polish in preparation to correct the etchings. Somehow after using the rinseless wash and following with the detail spray the etchings are almost completely gone. I’m guessing the detail spray has fillers? That’s the only possible explanation I can fathom but I couldn’t be happier that it worked so well.
Amazing job! 👏🏽 I applied this same Adam’s coating in my car. So, what would be the best drying aid and topper to maintain the coat over time? As drying aid I’m between: - Adam’s Graphene Detailer - Xtreme Solutions Topper - Gyeon Ceramic Detailer As Topper: - Adam’s Graphene Boost - CarPro Reload 2.0 - Gyeon CanCoat EVO What products do you suggest?
I'd like to see some of these comparasons with a ceramic or graphene coat with and without a topper. Which toppers make a difference over a good coating?
Cool test. makes me feel better about my purchase. I bought this stuff a couple weeks back. I applied it like a ceramic coat with an applicator to my newly buffed headlights. I know I overdid it. 😅 A more appropriate product would have been an actual coating spray applied that way, not a detailer. Regardless, my headlights are surprisingly slick, water repellent, and got compliments pretty fast! That durability is on point for the $ Now i need to clean and use this stuff all over my car til i can afford a real coating. 🤑
