If the embalmer did the proper procedures regarding preservation, sanitation of the body, there should be no problem. The body, has had its blood removed, it's bowels and bladder drained, all orifices have been plugged, including the nose, ears, mouth and throat, anus, vagina, and or penis tied, then a unionall or plastic plants placed on body prior to dressing. the body will harden due to embalming fluid, and any leakage will occur days after the funeral is over. Usually when one rents a casket it is the tray and the body that will be cremated, while the casket shell will remain clean and ready for the next client.
