When he broke into Hollywood with the magnitude of a comet in the mid-90s it was purely because of his talent; out-acting whoever he was onscreen with (* cough * Richard Gere). He could practically play anything and everything. It's a shame how his career has plummeted in the last decade; he probably will be the Hitchcock of actors - not receiving an Oscar when he should have, so the Academy will chuck an honorary award at him once he stops working.
Not sure if plummeted is the right word, his part in Birdman was excellent particularly with how it was layered with meta. He also continues to work with Wes Anderson well.

He needs to yell at the billionaires that run the store chain, not lowly service workers. Pretentious douche. I think he just got too much cred, too soon. That kind of thing often happens when someone becomes super acclaimed and popular right from the get-go. He got an Oscar nomination for his first film, and later worked with Brando, De Niro, Keitel, Anthony Hopkins, etc. . He is a fantastic actor, but he doesn't seem like a very nice person. Since his career cooled in the past decade, and because he's also older, he may have mellowed some, by now.

So excited to see this movie! I was living in Brooklyn Heights about 8 years ago when I first moved to Brooklyn from California , and I read this book and it was great and it took place in old school Brooklyn Heights so it was awesome to be reading about the place I was living. At the time I think 25th Hour was playing and was one of my favorite movies. Love Edward. Man, American History X! The dude only comes out of hiding to crush the big screen!
