Step by Step Video on How to Prepare Nigerian Black Soup

Today, on our docuseries, we travelled all the way to The Ancient Benin kingdom, Edo state to show you step by step how to prepare Nigerian black soup which is famous among the Edo people. The Nigerian black soup actually originated from Edo state. Take note of all the detailed steps our beautiful chef instructs us to follow in order to make the best Nigerian black soup ever for your family.
After you are done cooking your black soup, you can enjoy it with pounded yam, starch as we did, fufu, garri, semovita and any other swallow you like best.

The ingredients for this recipe are:
Assorted meat
1 bulb of onion
1 cup of scent leaf
2 cups of bitter leaf
curry leaf
ewiewia leaf
Stock fish
beef
ponmo or kanda
Smoked fish
Fresh pepper or 1 spoon of ground pepper
Palm oil or banga sauce, optional
½ cup of ground crayfish
3 seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
Note: Grind all your leaves together after washing the bitter leaf several times to remove the bitter taste.
