I am so glad that the trend is moving away from distressed (ripped and torn) jeans. I really appreciate the indigo wash denim and mid-low rise styled, because I have a shorter rise. Wearing high waist styles or stiff fabrics totally overwhelm my body, especially if the legs are exaggerated like the barrel shaped.
Great video, Chi! I was checking a few of the links you posted below, but they're not working. The dark denim with the belt is my favorite and would look awesome with my body type. Apparently other people are commenting the same thing. Please check your affiliate links for these so we can give you credit for finding these gorgeous jeans for us.
Its winter here! No way I can where a pair of heels with jeans on snow and ice. I would love to see you do a video about what boots to wear with the different styles of jeans!
I like the dark wash, polished, straight, high rise jeans. I think I would try the barrel fit (although I'm not sure what differentiate it from other straight or tapered style. And I would stay away from mid-low rise like the plague!
Dark wash, high rise wide leg trouser jeans for the win! I only wear wide leg trousers exclusively (denim, cords, linen, etc.) - as a longer torso extreme pear, it's the only flattering cut, and of course the darker wash jeans are slimming as well.
I am about your size and I really enjoy your channel. I am no longer in the workforce and don’t need as big a wardrobe, however…I will say I really like the high waisted (belted) trouser jeans with seams. I don’t see them in your shop so would you please tell me the brand? Thanks!
I cannot find a link to the dark denim trouser jeans with the wide self belt. Will you please provide further information for this Jeans that you modeled? Thank you.
Can you put a link to the jeans that had the matching belt? I clicked on everything and couldn't find them. I think I could actually wear those to work. Thanks!
Hey - new to your channel but super excited to see styles for petite women! Do you only share brand/links for items that are still available? Loved the dark trouser jeans with the belt but didnt see any info or links...thanks!
I like the low rise on a flare jeans. It works only if you have a flat toned belly. The background music keep going on and going off randomly , better if you turn it off
A LOT of people are asking for the link to the high-waisted dark wash trouser jeans with the seams and matching belt. CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE THE LINK? If they are no longer available PLEASE put that in the description so we know not to bother looking?
Agree...love the belted, high waisted trouser jean modeled. Please share information on the brand, etc. Always appreciate the practical tips in your videos, Chi. Keep them coming!
Hmmmm....I don't like any of them. I have been wearing more long skirts lately and now if I try to wear jeans they feel uncomfortable. And I just don't like the way these bulkier jeans look on me (5'3").
I agree, I feel like anything but high-waisted skinny jeans make me look shorter and wider. Wish they were still in style because they show my age! Update: Since this comment, I've tried slim straight and slim bootcut jeans with extra short inseams, and both look good - unlike everything else! Just make sure it flatters your butt. These cuts look even better with platform shoes.
Agreed. Denim is a heavy stiff fabric that stands away from the body. They add a lot of bulk and visual weight to one’s lower half. The only cut I liked here was the slim straight.
I'm also 5'3". Personally the only pair I would wear is a mid/high-rise, *skinny flared/bootcut.* It looks flattering on most body types. My thighs are so much thicker compared to my legs, so the flare at the bottom provides a better, more balanced silhouette. Glad there are more options now compared to late 2000s and 2010s where most stores only sold those annoying skinny jeans 😂😂😂
Chi, you make all of these jeans look great, but the stand out is the belted trouser jeans with the pin-tuck seams down the front. They are just darling. Are they still available by any chance?
I don't get the appeal of barrel jeans. Who wants their lower body look like a barrel-short, wide and heavy? I am not into each style of the jeans, but understand they all do something to help achieve a certain ideal look. Skinny jeans helps to look skinner. Flare jeans helps to create a little flare. Wide leg helps to elongated legs and balance out proportion. Straight leg goes with everything and universally flattering. Trouser jeans help to look polished and elegant. But what is about barrel jeans?
I found some very cute onrs at Ross & DDs! I'm the same height as you so i don't buy baggy because they'll make yoi look shorter so its a Big No. Find the straight smaller wide leg jeans they'll make you look taller.
I'm looking for the link for the dark wash trouser jeans (with what appears to be belt that came with it). It looks like a lot of other people are looking for that link as well. As others have also said...the music volume being too loud... and cutting in and out was an issue. Fyi As a 5'2" person, I appreciate your content! I have a short abdomen, and I do not like high waisted pants. Do you have videos that address that body type?
I personally would skip the barrel jeans. It makes you look like you have O leg shape. I'm dark wash/black, high waisted, skinny/straight leg jeans girlie. Light coloured jeans are way too casual for me.
Baggy needs to be long. High or low cut does not seem to matter, especially in winter. In winter, I always need longer tops to be warm. Which means high waisted are warmer too and I can wear tights under high waisted without feeling silly. My preference is for baggy jeans to be super casual, not dressed up. Straight or boot cut are my go to. But for super casual give me long baggy jeans and a heavy pure wool jumper. No jeans in summer as there are heaps of cooler choices to wear. 🎉🎉😂❤
I am only 5' 1" and will only wear dark denim high-waisted jeans. The lighter faded blue aren't as flattering. I don't like the baggier, barrel jeans either. Maybe ok if you are taller but not so good on someone 5' 1". Also, I hate pointed toe shoes, all your toes cramped together and so uncomfortable to walk or stand in for very long. Not really good for your feet and if worn too much will probably cause foot problems when you are older.
I still wouldn’t wear denim to an office and by Office I’m referring to a traditional office. Perhaps if it was a raggedy start up company it would be appropriate, but in my mind if you’re meeting with clients don’t wear denim, it may cost you a client.
I am 5'2 as well but I agree with the other comment that I really don't like any of them some of them are not in style maybe we should do some more research
None of those styles would work for me. 5' 1"/112lbs. I will continue to wear my skinny jeans with boots and booties because that is what works best for my shape. I don't care about trends but, of course I don't want to look dated either. We should wear whatever we think looks the most flattering to our body shape. Baggie, wide leg pants only work on tall, thin people. Imo

I love the trouser jeans! Very leg lengthening.
Thank you! I’m 5’3” and am always looking for tips on how to dress for my height! The jeans with the wide belt, where are those from! Thank you again!

I remember the ripped jeans from the 80s. Didn't like them then. 😄
I wore those in the 80's and only then. It is already out of my system. I moved on to jeans with no rips.

The only one's I liked were the trouser jeans.

The video is out!
Your videos are always soooo helpful and good! Thank you!!!
The music is too loud
Liked the video, thank you. I did find the music distracting :(

I am a boot cut jean girl, I do not like baggy jean on me at all.
Yep, classic for a reason.

❤❤my favorite were the trouser jeans❤❤
I love your channel been watching for over a year now! Thank you for these tips.
*also liking the video without the music 🎶
Can you put a link to the jeans that had the matching belt? I clicked on everything and couldn't find them. I think I could actually wear those to work. Thanks!
Hi Chi, this is good news for me. I'm looking forward for the more polished jeans.
Love your videos..They are just the right amount of time and your sense of humor makes it fun.

I love the dark wash trouser jeans. Where did you get them?

The long dark wash is my favorite. I don't like any of the others.
I’m only 5 foot and curvy I need a Jean I can wear this summer. Which should I choose without being to warm?

I really admired from u because im to short too.
Why i cant find the jeans with belt that you are wearing?
Love your channel! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the pin tuck trouser jeans on you with the little hip pockets. Very smart looking. Don't see a link for those though.
Hmmmm....I don't like any of them. I have been wearing more long skirts lately and now if I try to wear jeans they feel uncomfortable. And I just don't like the way these bulkier jeans look on me (5'3").

I don’t like them on Chi either they are not flattering
Bingo..i am now obsessed with skirts..they create so many different youthful smart looks and are soooo comfortable ❤

Whereas bootcut is universally flattering, I find the barrel jeans to be the opposite.
Nice jeans…nice styles…love them all…thank you❤
Chi, you make all of these jeans look great, but the stand out is the belted trouser jeans with the pin-tuck seams down the front. They are just darling. Are they still available by any chance?
The last pair of denim with the stripped shirt, where are the jeans from?
I've been wanting to try the barrel-leg jeans. I think they could be flattering on me.
High waist is my favorite
Love the video! Where can I find the trouser jeans?

The Abercrombie cargos looked the best on you

@@vanessaa7602 Huhh??? What's there to praise? We should only give praise to God Almighty.
Where are the trouser jeans from? the ones with the build in belt?
I can’t see the link to the Abacrombie low rise & can’t see them on their website - can you kindly provide the name or link please 🙏

Hi please make Style guide for Skinny Petite girl with short torso and Thin legs
What is the music song? The link isn't right.
Eddie Bauer used to make the best trouser jeans. I love mine. I hope they bring them back! Dark wash is the best. Polished means no rips? Yay!
I personally would skip the barrel jeans. It makes you look like you have O leg shape.
I'm dark wash/black, high waisted, skinny/straight leg jeans girlie. Light coloured jeans are way too casual for me.
Can you link your black sling back heels?
sure!
I love number 6 on you ❤
I'm a barefoot shoe person and 5'3"....very hard to style with pants....and all I wear are pants. Do not like thick denim.
Music too loud. Hard to hear you speak 😩

It's pronounced IN' di go. Accent on the first syllable! 😅

Heels with the barrel leg jeans just don’t look right to me. I think a boot or maybe a loafer would balance all that denim better.
barrel leg awful
IN-dig- oh
Barrel leg jeans make girls look bandy 😂
🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️

hate the music
Enough with baggy or super high rise jeans. Please... enough.
Come on…..jeans to the office??? how unprofessional
I don’t think so.
Depends on the office!
Depends on the office. Non corporate usually is more relaxed and dark jeans are acceptable. I know this first hand.
They don't look good at all
Can you please link the dark denim with the belt?
