The Firebirds took a tough loss yesterday against Catholic school rival Chaminade HS. Xavier and the Firebirds couldn't get anything going against the Flyers starting pitcher, Paul Eigle. Frank Roder got the start on the bump for the Firebirds. Despite a rough start Roder settled down and tried to keep the Firebirds in the game. Costly errors and walks led to a Firebird loss of 8 - 0.
Xavier goes 0 - 3, 2 pop ups and a strikeout.
