    St. Anthony's 5 - Kellenberg Memorial HS 4
Xavier and the Firebirds lose a heartbreaker to the St. Anthony's Friars last Friday. Up 4 - 3 going into the top of the 7th, the Firebirds were on the verge of closing out the game with a come from behind rally started earlier with a single by Frank Roder. Aidan "The Sandman" O'Connor who has been a sure thing all season as the Firebirds closer, just didn't have his stuff on Friday. Aidan walked the bases loaded in the top of the 7th inning and the Friars capitalized on the opportunity and scored 2 runs putting the pressure on Kellenberg in the bottom of the 7th.
Kevin Grasek came in for the Friars and closed out the game with a game ending strikeout against Danny Cardito. Friars go on to place 1st in the NSCHSAA JV Division.
Max Grewal got the start on the bump for the Firebirds. Vincent McDermott came in to pitch in relief.
    Xavier goes 0 - 3, 3 put outs and 1 error.
    Xavier's at bats: 2:41, 5:35, 6:50
    Xavier's plays: 0:43, 1:40, 5:44
Earlier last week, Blue Chip Prospects, www.bluechippro..., came out with their 2020 prospect watch list for Long Island. Xavier debuted at #15, Jordan Delucia #18, and additional top prospect, Kristian Rafsol. Their 2019 prospect watch list www.bluechippro..., has Kellenberg's Luke Napolitano #11, Joe Braskey #30, and additional prospects Andrew Cascio and Frank Roder in this lineup.
Also Jack Reardon #6 and Louis Stallone #24, Chris Brunkhe and Tyler Smith for St. Anthony's.
I apologize for not taping the Friars celebration, my battery died.
