Man she's wrong about the cons. Everyone says youre going to have low energy on keto. I think they have never tried it. I do 3 - 4 weight lifting sessions a week and run 6k cross country every Saturday. Fasted. Because of the lack of hunger I eat OMAD one meal a day. Can't tell you what a convenience that is in my busy lifestyle. Went from 185 to 150 last year. Took about 6 months. Been on keto for a year half. Experimented with the carnivore diet for about a month and now I'm on a ketovore diet.
She is right that once out of ketosis it takes a couple days to get back in. But after having been on keto for some months you're not going to have issues going on and off keto once your body learns how to use ketones.
Its also extremely nice not having to worry about eating for energy since energy is constantly being supplied by the body's natural ketone production.
Constipation? Like I seriously don't know where on earth she got that from. Even on that month of carnivore diet with zero carbs and zero fiber I had no constipation. In fact trips to the bathroom have never been better.
Vitamin c deficiencies? Well, your typical bell pepper (a fruit) has more vitamin c than an orange without the sugars and carbs holding you back to reach your goals. You can also have berries on keto. Lots of veggies have vitamin C including garlic. Me personally am not a fan of veggies. But I can stomach liver which not only has vitamin c, but a lot of vitamin A. Skip the tedious salads everyday.
So yea there are so many myths and misconceptions about this diet that really people who have never tried it just need to try it. It simply works.
No longer on blood pressure medicine. No longer fat. No longer a pre diabetic. No longer have high cholesterol despite eating ribeye steaks and bacon everyday. Of course you can eat a "balanced diet" but I like the time saving of skipping multiple meals a day which you will never be able to do on a carb diet without feeling hungry.

I’ve heard about overly high protein diet being a risk for gout - is that a case for ketoing as well? Or is it always a short term thing rather than consistent lifestyle change.
