I would still prefer to cover my skin with clothes rather than putting expensive sunscreens which are not yet researched much. I use sunscreen only when I am out for a lot of time.

My go-to sunscreens for my acne-prone skin is littlllextra rice berry sunscreen with SPF 50+. My biggest problems with a lot of sunscreens are whether they break me out or they make my skin feel dry and burn. But this sunscreen doesn’t have those issues and it wears well under makeup which is essential for me since I wear makeup daily as someone with acne-prone skin.
Don't know what to believe, what to apply, what not to apply.. Sunscreen no Sunscreen.. How can we ever know what is safe and not safe😃 Just apply what sunscreen you like and go with it!

I actually asked a cosmetologist n she said that most of these harmful n controversial ingredients are negligible in most sunscreens since they are in the smaller amount n do no harm
Girlllll I so needed this. There are so many times I come across these ‘Skin care influencers’ videos who talk about what is bad or which sunscreen is good. Like there is no fact checks or anything and its sad to watch how people get influenced by them. I myself follow all the 3 females, love them butttt I love you more!❤ Thank you for your constant work and helping us Indians to be more knowledgeable about skincare not only about International but Indian products too.
Hi but still a question if oxybenzone and old gen filters are safe even if they are baosrbed into bloodstream, many dermats say they are not good for acne-prone skin. Is it true?
Whenever I put any cream on my face i start to sweat like anything. That's why i avoid putting anything on my face but i have combination skin so sometimes my face feels irritating
derma co is one of the best. Use them just as you are doing rn. These influencers with no medical knowledge/ background will impose fear on the customers to promote other brands since they do it for money.
2 years back I was hunting a good mineral sunscreen hearing the fact that chemical sunscreen and these filters can get absorb in my blood however like you mentioned it was so expensive hence I switched to budget friendly hybrid sunscreen and i am good to go i don't have to go broke just by purchasing sunscreen every other month.
Thanks for the informative video..but majority experts are saying sunscreen shud be applied inhouse too, you mentioned when at home you dont apply sunscreen..can you clarify that...
You missed pointing out why new age chemical filters are better, 1. They are more photostable 2. Cause less skin irritation 3. Protect against wider UVA spectrum. Even Dr Idriss and Ramon talk about this in their videos. Also, the fact that the old filters can enter the bloodstream is definitely concerning even if we don’t yet know what side effects they can cause. The new filters are larger molecules which don’t penetrate as deep. US FDA is very slow when it comes to approving new ingredients or disallowing old ingredients. EU has much more stringent and proactive approach to testing and allowing new ingredients and they approve the new filters. Yes, sunscreens with new filters can be a bit more expensive but if there is one skincare product worth spending a bit more on it is sunscreen. And there are plenty of Korean sunscreens available under Rs 1000.
And what about titanium dioxide micronized...? There are some researches about it's toxicity, since micronized can go in bloodstream, and how to know where brand using micronized titanium or not? Even writing emails doesn't help, they do not disclose

At first I thought you have made the same video like others but now after watching the whole video I'm so much happy that someone is talking about this ❤❤
Guys how long do you guys wait to apply sunscreen after moisturiser?? I can’t seem to find the specific answer!! (I used to apply immediately but I read somewhere you need to wait 15-20 mins!! SO LONG???)
Excellent content! Loved your presentation.. really appreciate the time, effort and research which went into it.. very informative to make the public aware of the pros and cons and busting the myths .. love you and keep up the good work
Mandvi Singh or whoever she is(not disrespecting her) was continuously bashing old gen filters People have been putting these filters on their skin for more than 3 decades now and there haven't been many people who have complained about there negative effects because there aren't much Also, I agree that new gen filters might be better but there aren't many sunscreens in the market with new gen filters and if there are then they're expensive for the middle class except for the wishcare one(the new formulation, they've a mix of new & old gen filters) She didn't do any research and kept demeaning all the sunscreens I've used and love using 😢 Also, the thing you said about parabens is a lil controversial because Tressemme has lawsuits going against it for the ingredients used in it Also, phenoxyethanol is a much gentler preservative than parabens so you can look for that as well 😊
Omg so true! I came here after watching that Mandvi Singh's video and that made me more scared. I anyways trust Maitrayee Di's videos more as she's the only Indian TH-camr to give scientifically backed reasons. ❤
Also, this video does have an important point- If you can't trust old gen filters, then how are you trusting new gen filters. New gen filters have zero to few researches on them so people are trusting them blindly. But what if a new research is done in the future, and these so called new gen filters prove to be more harmful or less effective than old gen filters? Then what will these fear mongering influencers do? I really love Maitrayee Di after this video because she also follows Dr Shereene Idris, Cassandra Bankson, and Lab Muffin. And whatever sunscreen works for you is well enough, it's better than applying no sunscreen at all. ❤
earlier there wasn't this much pollution in environment or ealier the sunrays were not this much toxic ..i mean during the time of our ancestors itna environmental degradation nhi tha ..hawa bhi chemical free hoti thi isliye unko ye sb ki zarurat nhi padi lol. And abhi ka haal we all know, suncreens are necessity not fashion trend. I greatly appreciate your work !!

Guys how long do you guys wait to apply sunscreen after moisturiser?? I can’t seem to find the specific answer!!
(I used to apply immediately but I read somewhere you need to wait 15-20 mins!! SO LONG???)

Pregnancy safe sunscreen pls
Aqualogica sunscreen pink one giving me bumps on forehead even though I double cleanse it 😔😔which sunscreen should i buy now it was my favourite
Mandvi Singh or whoever she is(not disrespecting her) was continuously bashing old gen filters
People have been putting these filters on their skin for more than 3 decades now and there haven't been many people who have complained about there negative effects because there aren't much
Also, I agree that new gen filters might be better but there aren't many sunscreens in the market with new gen filters and if there are then they're expensive for the middle class except for the wishcare one(the new formulation, they've a mix of new & old gen filters)
She didn't do any research and kept demeaning all the sunscreens I've used and love using 😢
Also, the thing you said about parabens is a lil controversial because Tressemme has lawsuits going against it for the ingredients used in it
Also, phenoxyethanol is a much gentler preservative than parabens so you can look for that as well 😊
Yes thanks for the correction dear. And i really love when you guys share ur opinions and thoughts so we all can learn💕
@@MaitrayeeHalderPERFECTIFIED Always welcome 🤗
@@Soumyameghanihey can i use wishcare sunscreen .is it safe??
Where can I find Dr. Shereene’s video on Satvic Movement please 😋

earlier there wasn't this much pollution in environment or ealier the sunrays were not this much toxic ..i mean during the time of our ancestors itna environmental degradation nhi tha ..hawa bhi chemical free hoti thi isliye unko ye sb ki zarurat nhi padi lol. And abhi ka haal we all know, suncreens are necessity not fashion trend. I greatly appreciate your work !!
