Worst Games of All Time
Dash Galaxy
Saint
Silhouette Mirage
Beauty and The Beast
Dragster - เกม
For a sec I read “ the worst games I never played” lol. The old eyes aren’t what they used to be. Driving in fog recently showed me how bad my eyes are getting
My optometrist told me my eyes were old and "crappy" now. He didn't say crappy... but you get the gist 🤣
I'm old and still scarred buy spending a months pocket money on Kung Fu Naster for the Spectrum!
(Loved the arcade game), the minute i started i knew i'd been, virtual, mugged by US GOLD!! A very common story for pre net cash grab licensed titles that ruled the world!
Of modern games - No Mans Sky at lainch was crazy disappointing and terrible, i was like what is this??
I played Dragons Lair once in the arcade, and while it's retrospectively interesting, to confront it in the 80s was really crazy- i stood there waiting for the 'game' to start and it said game over, it was at least double of everthing else to play as well.
How about a look at pre release over hyped - disappointing games???
Love that thumbnail, thanks for the chuckles and Happy Easter to you!
🐰🐣🙋🏻♂️
US Gold put out so much garbage... lol
I'm kicking around the idea for overhyped games... I was going to go with something like, "games I couldn't get into." But maybe overhyped is better. Or maybe I could do both!
I'm glad you enjoyed the thumbnail! The grass was wet 🤣
Happy Easter to you as well!
Great video! There are so many bad and/or broken games out there, you'd never run out of content!!!
I know, right!?! I always feel like I'm going to run out of content ideas... I worry about it every day 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT no reason to worry. I'm sure another crappy game will be released next week! lol
Dude, I found your channel from your game room tour from RetroWolf88, and I've been binging your videos since. You're so knowledgeable on so many games and have the patience to play so many, even the bad ones like those listed here. Really great stuff! 👍
I'm so glad you decided to come check out my channel, and I'm thrilled you like the content!
Retrowolf is a great guy and a good friend of mine.
wow the first game was “let’s remake nes silver surfer”
Lol.... at least silver surfer has obstacles in the levels!
Speaking of which... I'm going to be streaming silver surfer here on youtube in the next few weeks. You should come watch me suffer 😄
@@RNGGamerYTif i’m not working i will.
@ANTiBassMetal thanks! I'd really appreciate that
It's meant to be a sequel to Monkey King on Wii, which itself was a remake of an old arcade and Master System (and a couple of other consoles) game called Cloud Master.
@bananonymouslastname5693 I knew it was sort of a remake of Cloud Master, but u couldn't remember if this came before or after Legend of the Monkey King
I remember Gaston stabbed the beast without him knowing while is raining
That's right!
The thumbnail killed me😂😂
It was a fun one 😄
I love the content and renewed my membership. Thank you for all that you do RNG gamer love being part of the community.
Thanks, brother! I really appreciate you being a channel member.
I'm glad you're liking the content!
What a great video topic. As much as I look forward to more of these I don’t wish the horrible games on you.
I have over 35 years of terrible games that I've played! I'm not running out of them anytime soon 🤣
I'm glad you enjoyed the video
Saint and Dungeon Encounters don't even seem real! Saint being a bad shoot em up is nothing remarkable, but a game made in 2009 not even really being animated blew my mind. Dungeon Encounters reminds me of a mobile game in the early days of the iPhone/iPad. For that to be a console game released in 2021 and made by SquareEnix is crazy, just seems laughably incomplete.
I know, right!?! Dungeon Encounters was specifically made to be like that. I don't know what they were thinking 😅
Dungeon Encounters is worse once you play it for a while and discover that most of the mechanics of the game are poorly programmed or simply broken. A few examples: there are thieves in the dungeon that steal your gold. They can steal more gold than you have, leaving you in debt (let´s say you have 500 gold and the stealing skill says the thief steals 2000 each time, you are going to end with -1500 gold, because they did not bother to program the ability to match the actual gold your team owns). A character can become lost in the labyrinth, and they will appear in any floor, at random. So if you have visited 85 floors, they can be in ANY of these, at random, good luck finding them. Random death traps, completely unbalanced encounters, and more... they justify those issues by saying it is "classic tabletop difficulty" but in reality it feels like a bunch of assets put together with no rhyme or reason.
@mrproper3630 I had no idea 🤣 I wish I knew all of this before I filmed the video
I first that Disney game called beauty and the beast roar of the lion when I was 14 even when I watch it on TH-cam I still barely stood a chance I couldn’t beat the first stage
It's so incredibly awkward. I wish I could reach through the screen and make all the viewers feel what it's actually like to play these games. 🤣
Is it just me, or does the dude on the cover of Dash Galaxy look like Cameron Monaghan from Jedi Fallen Order cosplaying as Flash Gordon?
LOL
I played Dragster heaps as a kid, once you get it dialled in it's an awesome multiplayer game. Me and the old man would play it for ages. This and Fishing Derby
No one will play Dragster with me.... lol
But... Fishing Derby is a banger! I love that game
Good stuff man!!
Thanks, brother!
Not played any of those but thanks for the heads up , the worst game I think I’ve ever played was Sword of Sodan on the mega drive, I remember looking at the back of box and thinking wow my god was I in for a rude awakening 😂
I've heard bad things about Sword of Sodan for years!!! Looks like it's starting to gain some popularity recently... 😅
Again, like I say each time, you're playing all the terrible games so we don't have to.
Also, the reason these videos are so popular is that you are such a born storyteller. Always entertaining.
So you asked for suggestions of more terrible games, let's just both play Pineview already and find it if it's as terrible as we've heard it is
You think I'm a born storyteller!?!
Are you picking Pineview Drive for me to play?!? If so, I'll do it
@@RNGGamerYT I am picking pineview drive for you to play!
@RetroRivals alright! I'll play it asap.
I find it funny that at one point I really wanted to pick up and play Saint on the wii. Thank God I dodged that bullet
You made a wise choice 🤣
Yeah! New RNG gamer video! Thanks for playing these so we don't have to, some of these games look like torture!
Thanks so much for watching! A lot of these were really, really bad 😆
Enjoyed this so much! Silhouette Mirage is on my list of "best" Saturn games to try but now I'm not so enthusiastic for it. May load it up in SSF and use Cheat Engine to blaze through instead. Great vid
I'm thrilled you liked the video!
Silhouette Mirage is apparently a LOT better on the saturn! Don't give up on it yet. The PS1 version is the messed up one
Working Designs ruined the PlayStation version.
@ninjacape they really did!
(Wrong account earlier) Just to update, I've been playing as much of the Saturn version as I can since my original post. It's great👍
@saturnrvg8171 awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I bet it's a lot better with all.of the unfair nonsense removed 🤣
Yikes! Those are some rough one man! I’m not super excited to add Dash Galaxy to my NES collection, that one looks terrible. Great video brother! Awesome thumbnail!😂😂😂
Thanks! It's a remarkably terrible game.
I'm glad you liked the thumbnail
We might just have to play that Blues Brothers game... im not sure the video would be longer than 4 minutes though..
Lol! It would make a great video. You guys could riff on it for hours
I first read this - yeah superman 64 - but also batman forever(snes) beavis and butthead (snes) Marios time machine/luigi is missing(snes)
Those are all worthy contenders! Superman 64 makes a cameo at one point 😆
When he said a bad Disney Genesis game, I thought he would say Fantasia, lol
I'm saving that one for later 🤣
Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum kinda reminds of Prince of Persia from the Nintendo Entertainment System!
It's similar... but it's actually more awkward. Prince of Persia doesn't intentionally lead you down pointless paths... at least not as much 😅
@@RNGGamerYT oh ok well I’m terrible at Prince of Persia I couldn’t get pass the first level all because of how confused and slow I am
@naasj3226 I'm not much better 😅
S-Tier thumbnail sir.😂😂
Thanks! I'm surprised to see so many people liked it 😁
I'm catching up on content again. I haven't played any of these, but I have a couple of them in my backlog, and this doesn't make me eager to play them now. Haha.
The first one is Saint, which I know I didn't pay much for, so that doesn't both me much, even if I hate it. I checked my spreadsheet and see that I paid $3 for that one. The other one stings a bit though - Silhouette Mirage. I paid $70 for that one back in the day, and was expecting to like it a lot. I'm still a little bit hopeful. I guess I'll see someday when I get to it.
You may love Silhouette Mirage! You won't love Saint, though 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT I hope so! I'll let you know. Although we could be senior citizens by then. The backlog is huge!
There are two types of gamers: those who purchase games because companies
trick them to buy the latest polished turd; and players who look for engaging
gameplay, regardless of the game’s medium, looks, or length.
Interesting take!
Which one am I? 🤣
I remember for like a week, when I was a kid, I played Drakkhen. I thought it was the funnest game ever. When the internet finally took off and Drakkhen was far off in the rear view mirror I started to read posts about how bad it was. Disagreements like this have never angered me but I strongly disagreed for years. Now that I have watched a few videos I've decided to never touch it again and hold onto the memories because it looks like I may have been very wrong lol. Probably just a bored kid with too much time one summer. Have you ever covered Drakkhen on your channel? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
I have it AND it's sequel. But, I've never played them. They are in the backlog. I'll cover them one day when they randomly get picked for me to play 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT from what everyone is saying the day you draw that game's name will be like the black dot from "The Lottery" lol.
@anaximander66 lol.... I welcome the horror 🤣
Niiiiice video again, thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
I loved the massive tear down of Dash Galaxy, what a stinker.
Haha! I'm glad you enjoyed that.
Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment 😄
These are pretty damn bad! Saint had promise but poor design (and zero animation), destroyed its chances. It's hard to believe that David Crane programmed Pitfall and Pitfall II, among others, yet also brought us Dragster. Granted, the whole game is less than 2KB.
I forgot David Crane did Dragster!!! Hopefully, it was before pitfall and not after 🤣
I mean this in a good way, you sounds like Napoleon dynamite. Great character and awesome movie.
Other people have told me that before! It's hard not to sound like him when your lips hurt real bad 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT now that's funny. Lol
The first game reminds me of the monkey king the legend begins for the Wii but not as good.
They are almost reskinned versions of the same game! They were made by the same developer and were both cash grabs!
I think the Monkey King came second... and it's just a little...and I mean little... bit better 😆
The Guy Game on the OG Xbox/PS2... terrible
This is one that's on my radar! I'd feel a little sleazy playing it 😅
@@RNGGamerYT you can also try Bebe's Kids on the SNES. Less sleaze lol
@andygoss3117 this is one I've definitely heard about! I'm sure it's an absolute disaster 😆
I don't think you can play that anymore. I may be mistaken but I think it got banned due to one of the flashing girls in the game being underaged.
@@Dustemikkel_Rev You can still find copies. I found one at Goodwill
Knightmare on the Amstrad. I was 9 years old and had no idea what I was supposed to do!!!!
Knightmare is a classic! I have it on the MSX computer. It's super clunky through until you know exactly where all of the power ups are 😅
@@RNGGamerYT I couldn't get past the second room. I tried everything. The only good thing I remember about that game was the theme tune!!!
@Kenno10rapid it's really short once you learn where everything is! But, still really difficult 😅
@RNGGamerYT It's one I don't think I'll be revisiting so I will take your word for it.
@Kenno10rapid that's good enough 😆
My little brother had Silhouette Mirage. I think it was on Dreamcast? I don't know, but I hated that game. Everything about it was complicated and nothing made sense or worked intuitively for a platformer. I didn't know anything about Treasure or bullet hell shooters at the time, I guess iykyk with this one. My brother loved it though.
You guys either played it on the Saturn or the PS1. I play a lot of shoot em ups, and I never could get the hang of this one.
Go play stake Fortune fighter for the og Xbox.
I'll have to grab it if I see it!
Had Dash Galaxy as a kid and I spent a lot of time not understanding it as a five year old
I can't even imagine what it would be like to try to play this as a kid 🤣
The Thumbnail HAHAHA. That saint game looks and sounds terrible buddy i never heard of it before lol. Oh no i played roar of the beast aswell , Its awful :D
Awesome video as always buddy hopefully if you make a part 2 on this topic vampire rain makes the cut hahaha. I cant wait for you to play that ;)
Thanks, brother! I'll probably do a follow-up to this eventually. I'm sure Vampire Rain will make the list
@@RNGGamerYT No problem buddy. Yeah im 110% sure if you do a follow-up Vampire Rain will be there lol it is honestly so bad i have no words hahaha
I don't dislike Silhouette Mirage, but it can be irritating. The Street Fighter analogy you used about emptying their life bar but having to use a specific move to finish them... play Ultraman on SNES and see that in action. That is a truly rotten experience.
If I'm being honest, most of the worst games I've played are on Wii or Nintendo DS. Army Rescue on Wii dumbfounds me in its existence. All of the fashion games, Bratz dolls games, weird pet games, etc. are horrific. Textiles on CD-i makes me sad as well. I have played many bad games and could go on about them forever, but the Wii and DS libraries are definitely the most rife with abominations.
I've played Ultraman on the SNES! It almost made this video!
The Wii and DS are a terrible game goldmine! Of course, I just got a CD-i, so I'm sure it'll give the Wii a run for its money. Thanks for your comment 😄
I am curious. You mention a lot in your videos you beat the games, even if they are bad, you don't like them, etc. When do you *stop* playing a game because of these factors? Do you have certain criteria for doing so? What are some examples? Happy Easter!
Happy Easter, Robert Boucher. Did you guys do well in the bourbon bowl this year?
I don't beat every game I play. But I probably beat over 70%. I stop playing after I'm not having fun anymore.
I have 2 kids and work with a bunch of people in their 20s, so I have a high threshold for stupid and boring crap 😅
@@RNGGamerYT One of the best explanations I've ever heard. 😎
@@RNGGamerYT I... have no idea what the Bourbon Bowl is. 🤷Fair enough regarding your beaten games vs. unbeaten. I try to beat the majority of the games I play, but some are just too hard, or not to my liking. I stop when it becomes more an exercise in frustration than fun. 🤣
Haha! There are times I roll my eyes and audibly moan while playing a bad game... and I just keep going.
@UndeadGuardian1 your name is listed as Robert Boucher.... Bobby is a nick name for Robert. So... Bobby Boucher, the main character from the Adam Sandler movie, The Waterboy! He took them all the way to the bourbon bowl!
Music doesn't sound like it's being played on guitar in Dungeon Encounters, sounds more like woodwinds. I listen to a lot of classical and don't recognise anything there.
They definitely played Bizet's L'Arlésienne March with harmonized guitars. That's mainly what I was remembering
@@RNGGamerYT must have missed that one.
You need to play Castle Quest (aka Castle Excellent) for the NES. If you can tolerate the music for more than 1 hour so you can learn this game, you're doing really good. And by the way, there is no password save or battery save so if you turn the game off, or if you screw up, you have to start all over again. Blaster Master and Rygar had the same problem, but at least those games were great and fun to play and had epic music. You have to collect colored keys to open the corresponding colored doors. And the castle is one big giant combination lock and if you can open the right doors to get to the princess at the end of the game you win. You are supposed to have a dagger to attack enemies, but when you attack, it looks like you are thrusting at enemies with your finger (and you never get to upgrade your finger). Platforms that take FOREVER to move you to the screen above you, a preview of every screen before you can play it, certain enemies don't die to the finger but you don't know which ones until you die to them (and like I said, you can't upgrade the finger), all set to an annoying soundtrack that changes only BRIEFLY when you grab certain items or powerups (but not for the finger). I never finished this game because I couldn't take it anymore. I watched a playthrough of this game and fast forwarded it to the end, at the end they have a closeup of the knight, he looks more like a court jester. I thought to myself "that poor princess got rescued by THAT! That poor princess has to kiss THAT! That poor princess has to sleep with THAT!" She was probably wishing she could be put back in the castle behind all the locked doors to protect her from THAT. Try this game, but don't say I didn't warn you.
Lol! I believe the knight IS the court Jester! The original game is just called Castle and it's on the MSX computer. You totally play as a clown for that entire game... so maybe it's the same character in the sequel, Castlequest!
It's in my backlog. I'll get to it one day when it gets picked for me to play.
Thanks for your awesome comment! It gave me a good laugh 😆
I love how you actually play a lot of games from different systems and generations. Graphics and age don’t matter when it comes to enjoying games. I’ve been playing Atari 2600 and 7800 all winter.
I've always enjoyed playing a wide variety of games. It's more fun for me that way 😁
What were some of your favorite Atari games that you played?
@@RNGGamerYT oh I’ve been impressed with Enduro, Demon Attack, Worm War 1, Turmoil. As for 7800, of course Ballblazer. I like the Galaga and Centipede ports too.
@samusvikerness661 all of those are great! My favorite is Kaboom!
@@RNGGamerYT yes Kaboom is timeless gameplay that requires so much skill it never gets old.
Todd didn't cheat...he simply made physics his bitch!
That's what I like to say every morning before I put on my pants
@@RNGGamerYT RNG, you really do reply I every comment. Personally, I like to start each day with, "The Truth is out there!"
@S_raB I really do reply to them all. The only time I don't is when two people are directly addressing each other in the comments.
The truth is out there isn't a bad motto to love by! 😄
@@RNGGamerYT That is dedication. Don't know if I could do that. Hopefully my channels get enough traffic just to receive comments though.
For me Truth, as in, "I am the truth, the way, & the life" but also loved the X-Files growing up thanks to my Dad watching with me.
It's a lot of work to answer all of the comments. But that's how you build a community. 😆
I've been wanting to rewatch the x-files for years
I saw some TH-camrs did boss rush and beat it before without dying 14:26
That's incredible!
I had no idea that there's a Blues Brothers game on the N64. An awesome car game could be based on the original movie from 1980.
I'd love a game with 500 cop cars wrecking 😅
Top 3 worst games; 3) "Sneak King" XBox (The Burger King video game) 2). Superman 64 (flying through rings???--God only knows why there hasnt been a good Superman video game in the last 45 years of gaming) 1). Pac-Man Atari 2600 (this is the game what was the turning point for ditching the 2600--not ET. "Maze Craze" from years earlier had better maze designs)
Those are all truly terrible games. In actually tried to get all of the achievements for Sneak King.... I failed 😅
I would not blame Treasure for a localization issue.
They allowed the changes, though!
It won't let me turn on notifications for your channel saying that it's set to "made for kids." Is that correct or is it a weird TH-cam error on my end?
That's very strange... it's definitely set to, "not made for kids". My videos don't even show up on TH-cam kids... believe me, my kids have tried to find me on there 🤣
I just double checked. I don't have any videos set to made for kids. I'll keep investigating
Did you change anything? It now let me set notifications for all your vids now. Weird! 🤷♂️
@Randarchy53 I didn't at all! The whole channel is set to "not kids." Sometimes viewers can suggest that a video is made for children, and youtube will check it. Maybe that's what happened here, and you just caught it at the exact weird moment
haha so weird. I tried from my pc, phone, and smart tv and it always just kept telling me that kids channels can't have notifications turned on. Oh well, working now and looking forward to your content. Keep up the good work! @@RNGGamerYT
This video is pure gold.🏆
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment 😄
I'd like to make a video about games with lots of promise, which start off great...but then fall flat on their nose. (Samurai Remnant comes to mind, with its aggravating leylines. 😝)
I'm actually playing a game like that right now....
Loved your thumb nail haha
Thanks! The grass was wet 😅
@@RNGGamerYT Haha! That's even better! Love this series. Thanks for what you do
@Xero36 thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment 😄
Eek! The Cat on SNES. My my... it's so bad...lol.
... that's a name I never thought I would ever hear again! 🤣
I'm glad that I've never had these games in my life 😂 Alien vs Colonial Marines or whatever that crap was called was the worst for me that I can think of. The game was too easy and they patched it so that it was too difficult. Everything felt cheap about it.
I skipped that one on purpose 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT Haha 😄 Too obvious!
Dragon's Lair for the NES is worse than every game on this list. Combined.
That might be true! But, I'll have to play it first to see for myself 😁
enchanted arms xbox 360. I paid $1.75 for it and you damn well better believe I got my money back!
I bought that game not long after it came out... and it's STILL in my backlog. It hasn't gotten picked for me to play yet.
I'm bummed to hear that it's so terrible 😅
I could be wrong, but I get the impression that you're not a fan of 'Silhouette Mirage'.
What gave you that idea!?! 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT lol! Just a feeling.😆
Haha
'Dungeon Encounters' .... I swear I have that one, and something about the switch version seemed.... 'off' Though for the life of me, it must be a performance thing compared to the steam release version. I can certainly say I enjoyed it, butI have to say it seems to be unaturally slow in getting off the ground, and I can see how the dull can rub on people the really wrong way.
There really did seem to be something off about it. It's such a bizarre and surreal experience. I know the steam release has to be better.
@@RNGGamerYT it is, but not for a reason I can readily point out. Esc is pause, there are several ways to move. (The oddest one that showed up when I retested it is the mouse wheel).
I think that the mouse & wasd to control where, and the existence of hot keys goes an extensive way making it better on pc. Hyatt was well it is really mouse / touch optimized, so surface devices have a smoother time with it as well.
Though I cannot really point out what you showed was off, so much as it just seemed chunkier and maybe a smaller screen.
I have to say it is a really good game, just one that isn’t for most. I need to redo my save file & start over as it does have multi party mechanisms & ways to really hose yourself (which I think is good)
@DePhoegonIsle hmm, that's strange.
I gave it a 6/10 when it reviewed it on gamefaqs, but as time has passed, I've grown to dislike it more and more. There were a lot worse games than this that I could have chosen, but I really wanted to share this one because it's so unbelievably weird 🤣
lmfao i picked up saint for like 2 dollars at a gamestop based on the cover, probably the laziest developed game i own
You paid too much🤣
WoW was the best game I ever played which turned into my most despised/hated game. Started playing WoW in 2005 at 11 years old, was very hooked. I quit in 2020 & from what I've seen from the game & companies involved since (Activision/Blizzard), I'm glad I stayed away.
I was really addicted to WoW. I was a senior in college when it came out. If it had been earlier, I probably would have flunked out of school.
I'm glad we both escaped 😅
@@RNGGamerYT While at school all I could think about was WoW lol. I stopped being so addicted when MoP released, wish I stayed away & never touched the game after, but I didn't. Haven't found a game that could get me addicted like the best days of WoW could since.
Thanks for your response :)
Everyone of these games i have never heard or played.
Good! I tried to pick games that weren't already covered in a million videos
My go to when it comes to bad games is Lunar Dragon Song. On the surface, the game looks fine, it's no buggy either. On paper, the mechanics are interesting. But when you put them together somehow it resulted in one of the worse experiences I have ever seen. I rarely seen a game that seems to go out of its way to actively hate the player like this one. So the problems are by design.
First, last talk story. The main character is this guy that has the special power of being able to stand on his head. A power he continuously reminds you of... a power so amazing that the bad guys steal it away 30 minutes in, making you go from triple attacks to single attacks in fights. Amazing storytelling. Could be something lost in translation though, but...
The battles are... well... they don't need you. It's auto-attack unless you was to force a character to cast a spell. So go take a nap I guess.
Then the rewards for the fight. You have to pick between items (aka quest or money related) or EXP. That wouldn't be the worst thing, except that the number of battles are in theory limited, because the game tells you that if you clear an area of all monsters you get a treasure chest, baiting you into doing it for relatively poor rewards, which would stop the flow of monsters entirely on that map, which keeps you from doing any grind. Lovely.
And since they really hate you, they also made it so that if you sprint on maps, to try to make this hell go any faster, it depletes your HP. You read that right, you lose HP for running.
I'll take Silver Star any time, keep Dragon Song away from me.
Lol... this sounds like a nightmare! 🤣
I was just nodding my head while I read your comment... until I got to the running depleting your HP part. That actually made me laugh out loud. What were they thinking!?! 🤣
I can’t believe you made it through all these games with no profanity…… I don’t know how many controllers would be broken or how many F bombs I would’ve dropped, and I would’ve made my own language of profanity if I had to play these games thank you for sharing this though it helps all of us out here not pick these up… best of the best to you always take care
Thanks so much! There was plenty of profanity!!! Just not in the video 🤣
I don't know why AVGN hasn't covered Dash Galaxy. Seems like something up his alley.
I could have sworn that he did! If he didn't, he definitely should 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT I've recently rewatched every single AVGN episode ever (the uncensored versions) and I can tell with 98.99% certainty that he didn't. But I agree he should!
@UltimatePerfection I'm glad I picked something he hadn't
whoa: a game AVGN has yet to cover! Congratulations, you outdid him covering Dash Galaxy 🤣😎
the worst game that I ever played was Shaq-Fu. I tried it every which way but no matter how much I tried it sucked. even two-player sucked.
I tried to pick some stuff he didn't cover!
What an honor to say I outdid him on a topic. You boost my ego too much 🤣
Shaq Fu is atrocious.... but it's been covered too much 😅
@@RNGGamerYT i have zero to joke about as I bought Aquaman and Catwoman years after release without checking them out first 😱
Ouch! Those are some really incredibly bad games 😁 I'm not sure if I want to try them or not...
Never heard of any of these games
There's a reason for that! They all suck and no one ever talks about them 🤣
Honestly those looked painful.
They really were 🤣 These are all really miserable games
It's more frustrating when a game has some potential, but it's ruined by bad game design or idiot programmers/developers. I'm sitting here right now playing star wars new droid army yon GBA. The game is super repetitive, dragging on and "why does it use force power when I swing the light sabre?" SO MUCH POTENTIAL....just wasted.
BTW...when you die in Gradius they do give you a free power up orb. So you could upgrade speed right away....so Gradius is more forgiving than Saint on Wii..lol
I wouldn't say Gradius is ever forgiving! Haha. But I agree, a terrible game is often better than a disappointing game
Ghostbusters for the NES was bad. The marshmallow man comes on the screen, instant game over. 😮
That's definitely a terrible game. I could never make it up the staircase 😅
Just play the japanese version of mirage. Its a pretty popular opinion that working designs butchered the western release and didnt just make the game difficult, but ruined the mechanics that made the game considerably less fun. Like how weapons didnt drain spirit and you could use them as much as you want in the og
I dont think mirage is an amazing game by treasure but it has some fun boss battles with good music and moments and is pretty fun. The best way to play it is honestly the recent saturn english translation release
I may have to try that out! I really, really wanted to love the game. But, it's just so clunky
Sword and Fairy 6 for me. Never have I played a game so nonfunctional. Makes Superman 64 seem moderately well made, somewhat. 😎
I almost ordered that game from Playasia! I'm so glad I didn't 🤣
Thanks a lot for your Content. Greatz from good old Germany..
Vielen Dank für deine Inhalte. Viele Grüße von Deutschland ❤
My goodness! Thank you so much!!! Your generosity is unbelievable.
I love my viewers from Germany
@@RNGGamerYT I Hope this lovely Channel and and you, "Make TH-cam Great again!" 😂❣️ Your welcome
You're too kind! Really
Bullet witch on the 360 was soooo horrible!
It's in my backlog ... so I have the misfortune of playing it
Some people act like shovel-ware is a new thing, but bad games have been around as long as video games.
Saint looks like a school project. The kind of thing you build over a 10 week intro to game- programming course.
Dash Galaxy looks like an Atari 7800 game, and that point & click mentality is toxic as hell.
I liked Dungeon Encounters. It's definitely a stylistic choice and not for everyone. The combat system is a very refined version of the ATB system from FFs 4 through 9. It's just not the kind of game you should play for more than an hour or so at a time. I never got close to the end though...
Beauty and the Beast: at least it looks similar to the movie...
Those Treasure games are wild, just watching you play them gives me anxiety sweats.
Working Designs was just trying to keep their games from being weekend rental completions. I don't think it was a great idea long term, but I'm sure it made business sense at the time; game length started to be a selling point around the PS1 era also, so that probably factored into it as well.
Blues Brothers reminds me of why I never liked the N64.
Dragster just brings me back to my first point.
Thanks for the entertaining vid!
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on each game.
I never got to the end of Dungeon Encounters either... and I put about 25 hours into it, I think!
Working Designs definitely tried that junk with the rental market. But eventually, it turned into an ego trip. I feel like that is what contributed the most to their downfall.
Thanks for watching.
I liked dragster when i was a kid. You might need to add Stellar Blade to this list because in my personal opinion it's really bad. It looks amazing but plays like crap. Thanks for the video
Noooooo. Don't tell me that 🤣 I was looking forward to it!
@@RNGGamerYT I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on it
I give you a really bad game. Batman Forever on the Sega Genesis. This is really bad. It goes really slow, hard to control & at times not as simple going from point A to point B.
This was a classic one that AVGN covered... I don't even own it 🤣
RNG gamer loves to punish himself
Don't you know it! 🤣
belive it or not, silhouette mirage is a pretty well liked game on the saturn. its not for everyone(i couldnt stand it), but it has its fan base. and its because of its unique mechanic, which even when you describe it, its easy to understand how some people would actually love it despite its clunkness.
It's supposed to be a lot better on the saturn! I should grab a copy
I 've got that with Wervolf: the apocalypse - earthvlood ( I was so curious that complicated title like this wasn't a warning sign for me).
Bad idea, nothing is working and not fun in any way you can imagine.
It's horrible.🧐🤷
Forgive my eng
I just looked this game up.. and you're not kidding! It looks horrible. 😆 I may have to give it a shot 😂
Why Sunsoft mainly and imo even hudson couldnt make good 16 bit games. Its so strange and even the music is bad.
After the TG16, they completely lost it. I wonder what happened?
Cuphead. That's probably 1 of the worst games I have played in the modern era. The game is so hard that you need to beat it on the normal difficulty. If you play this on the easy difficulty, you don't get the souls & when you don't get the souls in this game you can't fight the Devil who's the last boss in this game. Terrible.
Let me tell you how bad this game is from a mechanic point of view. You know majority of modern games when you fight bosses there's like 3 parts to them, & the game saves after each part so when you die you just do that part of the boss you died at? This game if you die at any parts of the boss & it could be the 3rd part of the boss, you have to do the whole boss over again all of it in 1 sitting.
The hardest boss in this game is a guy named dice I believe. He's the Casino boss right before the Devil. To beat him you have to beat like 3-5 mini boss in 1 sitting then fight him. A lot of times you'll die at those mini bosses. If you die at those mini bosses you have to start that all over & beat them all in succession in 1 sitting with the Dice boss too. Like how Bs is that.
The Devil boss believe it or not, the last boss of the game, is 1 of the more easy boss I would say in this game.
I have Cuphead, and I really want to play it. I know it's going to be really brutal and unfair, but I welcome the challenge 😅
@@RNGGamerYT You'll find Cuphead way harder than Resident Evil Code Veronica.
@tonyp9313 I'm sure I will. But I'm better at dodging in arcade style games. I know what to expect 😅
Dungeon Encounters does not belong on this list. Not one of my favorite games ever, but an interesting experiment in making a dungeon crawler that is purely mechanics. Overstays its welcome a bit, but I'd play it again.
I gave it a 6/10 when I reviewed it for gamefaqs. As I said in the intro, some of these games will have redeeming qualities, but there's something about them that ruins the experience for me. Dungeon Encounters is specifically like that. I did put 25ish hours into it.
@@RNGGamerYT Wouldn't have been a fun list if you didn't put things on there that some people like! Not going to lie. A bit bitter that Milon's Secret Castle didn't make the cut.
@BradPrichard thanks for being so understanding! Believe it or not, I actually haven't played Milon's Secret Castle enough to include it in a video. I have it, and it's in the backlog somewhere. But, I really need to spend more time with it.
You should play Joe’s Diner on PS4. Thats the pinnacle of worst game tbh 😂
I actually have it! It's on the Truth is Out There compilation. It's in my backlog 😅
Terrible game 👎
Terrible games!
I am gonna go with Bubsy 3D on the PS1 I hate that game. It's so bad & frustrating it's unplayable.
... I have it... on the Atari Jaguar... I'll have to play it one day 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT No please don't, you will tear your hair out in frustration believe me. Just trying to jump on basic platforms is so annoying. It's bad very very bad lol!
Superman 64 is NOWHERE near as bad as power rangers on the N64.....seriously, that game is even more pointless than superman 64. You just dont do ANYTHING in it lmao
That's a BOLD statement! I'm going to have to check it out 😂
It might be bold, but trust me, power rangers is so incredibly bad its insane. You run around doing basically nothing lol
I grew up with the N64 and it is still my favorite system of all time. I wouldnt play that game again for a million dollars. Its just not worth it!@@RNGGamerYT
@SK8R43 haha. I'll play it for $100
silhouette mirage is a platformer for shmup fans. shmup gamers like hard games so long as the mechanics are sound.
Believe me... I know! I'm a huge fan of shmups and am able to 1CC a lot of them. It's one of the reasons I wanted to try Silhouette Mirage. It just didn't click for me, though.
@@RNGGamerYT i originally played the working designs version of silhouette mirage and liked it a lot. Years later i added the Saturn import to my collection and blew through it so fast i regretted letting my ps1 copy go.
I have not played any of these. I tend to avoid playing games I find bad these days because I now have so many games that I dont have to play any I find bad or even mediocre like I did when I was younger (where it was play the game or none at all).
However and this is probably a little controversial especially as it has just come out but FFVII rebirth is up there as one of the worst for me and pacing wise is the worst game I have ever played.
The plotting is frequently nonsensical and it has some of the least likeable characters I have seen in Roche and Chadley but what really makes it stand out as bad is the quality of the mini games or rather I should say lack of and how prolific they are.
I persevered for 30 hours but enough was enough. I wanted to like it I absolutely love FFVII og its my favorite game of all time and despite issues with it I had fun with remake but even my adoration for the original it could not see me through this one. I have played some really bad games on C64 back in the day that I cannot remember the names of where I could not even get off the first screen or in one case figure out how to even move the character (maybe was bugged) but they did not disappoint in the way FFVII rebirth did.
Also this is my opinion if we are trying to find the most objectively bad game I dont think Rebirth would be it as it runs ok and does have some saving graces but subjectively it is one of the worst for me. If you personally enjoy it then more power to you.
I try not to play bad games as well.... but it still happens 🤣
You're not the first person who has told me that they hate FFVII Rebirth! They actually said the same thing about the pacing and annoying characters. You're not alone 😄
One of Sega Genesis I cleaned part of the payment was a shit 3D racing game dude if I didn't hate the feeling of destroying a cartridge I would have destroyed it on camera instead I am letting it dry rot slower yes it works
There were a LOT of bad racing games on the Genesis! What's the name of it?
I loved Dungeon Encounters, got 100%.
I can totally see that! If you love all the mechanics of RPGs... this could be your dream game 😄
Why you no blink?
You're the second person to ask me that!
I actually have Tourette's syndrome. While i don't have the kind that makes me shout out a bunch of swear words, I do have a lot of facial tics that are distracting to watch for the viewer.
Once I start blinking, it's hard to stop. So I try to go as long as I can without blinking. It's the reason I have a cut about every 5 seconds in the video
I had a feeling that might be the case. I'm a person who stutters, I can kinda relate. Really enjoy the channel BTW 😀 👍
@Budters thanks so much! I'm thrilled you like the channel.
It's exactly like stuttering! It can be very distracting.. but we are who we are
I appreciate your comment
Go get a copy of Hybrid heaven for N64 you will be confused i gaurentee it. The weirdest game i have ever played
I am going to have to grab this game! Several people have told me I need to try it
No because I hate 99.9% of all games and genres so I only play one game. And i started playing in 1977😊
What's the one game!?!
Stop interrupting your content for an ad!
I have NOOO control over it. I set it to the minimum. TH-cam will insert an add if your video is over 8 minutes.
I bet with your collection you have quite a few really expensive games that are total trash just bc they rare lol
You have no idea..... some games, nobody bought for a reason 😅
