  • A Ramble Through Rowan's History is a series of short videos of the history of Rowan County's people, places, and events. The Neysayers is the segment about the Scottish school teacher Peter Stuart Ney, buried at Third Creek Presbyterian Church, who taught many prominent citizens of Rowan County in the 1830's and 1840's and was rumored to have been, in fact, Napoleon's famous general, Marshal Michel Ney of France living in exile in the 'back country' of North Carolina.
