A Ramble Through Rowans History: The Struggle For Liberty Part I 1753 1775

A Ramble Through Rowan's History is a series of short videos of the history of Rowan County's people, places, and events. The Struggle for Liberty describes the people who contributed to the emerging nation that became the United States of America and events experienced in the back country of North Carolina that led to the fateful separation of the colonies from Great Britain. The first portion, The Struggle for Liberty, Part I, 1753-1775, includes the French and Indian War and the Regulator Movement. The second half, The Struggle for Liberty, Part II, 1775-1791, gives an account of the Revolutionary War in Rowan and Washington's Southern Tour.
