Downtown Santa Barbara California Tour 4K

  • This is a tour of downtown Santa Barbara, California from summer 2021. We start out at the pier and walk up State Street. There is also a mission at Santa Barbara up on the hill that was part of the old Camino Real. Up and down State Street in Santa Barbara you will see plenty of restaurants and pubs. In fact I consider it to be a very pleasant downtown area to visit.

I stayed in Santa Barbara for spring break this year and since I came back to LA I keep telling anyone that will listen how much Santa Barbara is like a paradise, everyone was so friendly and I felt like I was home. It's only been a few months but I'm already planning to go back perhaps in December and I'll definitely make it a tradition to go back for spring break and summer vacation. I absolutely loved gold's gym there and I remember on my last night there I walked down state street and went back to Stearns wharf where I had a cup of wine and met some really sweet ladies and had awesome Conversations with them that evening. I really miss this place and when I can I'm planning to get a property there

Santa Barbara is as close to heaven as you can find, with its perfect climate, nicexSpanish architecture, and lovely beaches. However, it creates an unreal living environment - very rich, combined with college students at UCSB. I livedxtherex18 months, but it was not sustainable, but a great place for a weekend! It is California, so it is part of the crazy Gavin Gruesome lunacy, and outrageous housing prices, and taxed into oblivion! The SB Wine Country is very nice. Hard to beat as a place to be, but needs more balance in its residency. Perfection in climate comes at a price. Always nice to revisit Santa Barbara. The Spanish Days Fiesta in August is a lot of fun!

In some respects, Santa Barbara is a larger version of La Jolla (another place I lived), butvthe crashing surf I LJ is more spectacular, and you have nearby SD for culture, pro sports, etc. - but more traffic congestion.

@@utop999 Washington State is very Beautiful, indeed, but Cold and Cloudy in the Winter, and of course the people are Not like Californians, that's for Sure!!! Meaning that in WA State; some people are lovely people, but the Great majority are unfriendly, very racists, and Rude!!! That doesn't mean that is terrible here, it's just when You encounter those issues; it's kind of difficult to deal with that when You cannot get your Rights enforced as everyone here is allowed to Violate Your Human & Disability Rights and get away with it. This is like a third-World State where ALL your Rights are Violated and there is NOTHING that you are allowed to Do about it, because even the Court is Against You and discourages You from filing a case, as they already know that they will be Against YOU. Also, there is too much CORRUPTION HERE in WA State. The White Supremacists here RUN every area of Society and whatever they SAY goes, if You are POOR and/or Brown/black; even the Judges in Court here are extremely CORRUPT and you are just wasting your time trying to Enforce your Rights as US Citizen. Disability RIGHTS & CIVIL RIGHTS are almost Non-Existent here in WA State; every institution that You can think of and/or including Landlords and Education Ombudsman and Public Schools here are ALLOWED by Government to ABUSE disabled children in Public Schools and allow Landlords to ABUSE & VIOLATE the RIGHTS of the Disabled and handicap. And ADD to all of that; that if a female in Washington State doesn't like You; it's most likely She will do Witchcraft on YOU. I've never Seen So many Witches in my life like there are here; or those who Pay to Do witchcraft to Ruin the lives of others. This is disgusting here. But beautiful Landscape indeed. My grandparents lived there for years and I used to stay with them there in the summers. They have long passed and I have not been there since 1977. They lived by a park and not far from Fisherman's Wharf ( at least that is what it was called then)
I would go fishing there every morning. I can remember some foggy mornings, otherwise I thought the weather was great there.
I can remember when you could hunt Abalone back then.
One question, I remember walking down to the beach and at some point, I think walking northward that there was a nude beach. That still around? Heck, I was 15 last time I was there

As a person who watches your Living in AZ videos and recently moved from Santa Barbara, CA to Mesa, AZ this is pretty surreal.
Believe it or not, State Street used to be a two lane road full of Ubers trying to dodge the "no stopping" fines on Saturday night.
SB is very beautiful, especially if you get into the mountains. I miss being able to wake up at 11AM and still go on a hike in the summer. I don't miss the cost of living or the politics though.

I lived just off upper State St in Santa Barbara, it is such a lovely city. Loved walking down State St, and over to the Mission with it's lovely rose garden. All you guys that do these videos do not understand that you should show these lovely buildings. Aim your camera across the street for the best view; walk the other side of the street and do the same. Just aiming straight misses it.

@@anthonymigliaccio3492 How is it possible for middle income people to live there? Do you mean by renting there?. That looks to be really expensive to. It’s always been my dream to live in Santa Barbara.

@@chrischamberlain7628 if you live west to the city in the town of Goleta, the housing situation is marginally better, your not gonna grab some 3500 sq foot home or anything but it’s not impossible to live there. They are also starting to build more townhouse style buildings that are more affordable. Also Goleta isn’t like an hour away or anything, it’s like 10 miles from where this video began. Keep in mind that I mean affordable relative to anything downtown or east of it. Honestly though don’t move here unless you can get a great job offer from like a tech company or something, many places have gone out of business, even before the pandemic, and the elite that owns the places don’t repurpose them they just leave them abandoned and take losses for tax purposes I guess. There’s like 3 small beaches that aren’t coated in bug filled seaweed and trash not to mention all the tar in the sand. If it’s the beach your looking for this ain’t it. Isla vista is an even bigger dump than it was a few years ago(I saw a couple comments asking about isla vista so I thought I’d mention it). I don’t want to just rant about my city though so 1 good example of many I could give is that our community college is amount the best in the nation.

The cyclists are sick. They can only go in an unbroken forward motion, not stopping until a police officer stops them for a breathalyzer test.

You can't sell your state to potential tourists with pretty words. Your beliefs are destroying the foundations of a once beautiful state.
