Thanks for watching!
This is the ultimate video to clean your hardwood floors. This is the ultimate video to clean your hardwood floors.
Thanks!
could you post the links to the pads you used in this video?
thanks! what would you recommend to use on epoxy covered concrete floor? Pad, which color or brush which color?
Thank you, Thank you! Absolutely love your videos, and have applied your techniques to my own home, hardwoods throughout.. Question: did you modify the Drive Pad Holder? Mine tore up the bonnet the second time I removed it. I'm hesitant to just use microfiber cloths for fear the plastic hooks on the driver will eat through and scratch the wood. Any suggestions?
Wonderful!
Yes, it’s modified. Teeth have worn off. You can shave them down and put Velcro on them.
I was researching orek's and this video was helpful. Thanks! What red pad is that? The Orek website only shows an orange pad but it looks a bit too rough for wood.
Yep, it’s too rough. Just stick to the white and red pads.
Hello, I am trying to clean some old tongue and groove wood flooring. It was in my grandmother's house and has not been actually clean. I have one of the orbit xl buffers . I was wondering what would you recommend to be the first stage of cleaning. To almost degrease them. I have never used one of these orbit buffers on a wood floor.
I would start by using a neutral floor cleaner first and see how that does. Then, if not satisfied, try to use a higher alkaline product, a degreaser. Make sure you test in a small section first. Neutralize the floors after using any type of alkaline products with a neutral cleaner or water.
Good morning can you please explain a 3 pad process
I don’t remember this particular video, but there quite a few variations of the process I use according to the job. There isn’t a wrong or right way I suppose.
I've been cleaning carpets for over 35 yrs and I'm like you and prefer to be doing the work myself and my wife helps me during busier times. I have an Orek, a 175 and a Phoenix Trinity and am planning on cleaning hardwood floors also. Thanks for posting. What type of neutral cleaner do you use and I have no idea what to charge per sqft for this service. Same idea for marble and natural stone floors as you would use for hardwood I'm thinking? Same pads also?
OdoBan or ecolab. I would just pass on the marble floors unless you’re into restoration. I’ve never seen marble that wasn’t severely damaged already, and didn’t need more invasive procedures than just running a buffer over them. I hear people charge from . 50 cents to $2.00 a square foot for cleaning wood, just basic cleanings of course.
@@bmcarpetcleaningandfloorca4410 thank you and yes I agree about marble floors and yes, I actually know how to do restorative marble polishing work. I have done a few and they turned out great. Don't really want to do marble restoration anymore. Too messy.
What solution do you use to make the floor shine? Thanks
In this video, i did not add a finish for the shine. This is only a cleaning.
I have a new construction clean and would like to use this method what solution are you using?
OdoBan neutral floor cleaner
Are the hardwood floors polyurethaned? How would you clean and polish hardwood with varnish and wax?
Yes these are poly. These floors were also refinish at some point using a sand screen on a buffer. If you look closely you can see the marks left by the screen on the floor with the corners not done. Something I noticed immediately at this home. The homeowner is unaware of this, so it was done prior to them moving there in 2020.
What type of wax? Different approaches to cleaning depending on the type.
@@bmcarpetcleaningandfloorca4410 Thank you! Bruce paste wax on a varnished (not poly varnish) hardwood floor.
@@MaudSTL dry buff with a white polish pad or lambs wool bonnet with no solution. Preferably the lambs wool
@@bmcarpetcleaningandfloorca4410 Thank you so much! Would you strip the wax with the white polish pad?
@@MaudSTL if you want to remove the wax, that’s really a very different process and is much more complex than just cleaning. I would recommend joining Truman’s group for that.
Great job 👏 what red pad is that
Thank you very much!🙏

What cleaner did you used?
Ecolab neutral floor cleaner
that's not hard "wood"
It is. It’s made out of pine. I thought it was laminate, but the box of floor boards says it’s hardwood.
