Never wax and never, never oil it. Think of it this way... You're not really cleaning a wood floor. You're cleaning the finish that is applied to the floor. I have apt parquet. Was refinished 5 yrs ago but not properly and the finish is almost worn right off where we walk. Wood showing through. Can I do something myself w/o involving the apt management. Can I clean and put varathene where needed or ??? Thx for any advice.
get it ...its comes in handy ! scrubbing bathroom tiles etc . just dumb some dish washing detergent and hot water and off you go ! . suck it all up with a wet and dry vacuum . make dirt soft ...suck it up ...that is the best way to clean
I would think the scrub strips would be far to aggressive. If you test them in a hidden area like a closet and they don't leave any scratches then go ahead and do the floor with them.
Great tutorial. I am getting ready to have my two employees clean a 3300 sq. ft. finished wooden floor. All I can find at my local store is ZEP Commercial Hardwood and Laminate Floor Cleaner. Would this product do a deep clean as well? I don't want to mess up my client's floor :)
Ken Raddon is a white pad softer than a red pad? Idk if these are universal, I'm thinking about buying a buffer for my cleaning. I heard you should never add moisture to wax finished wood, but you say it safe? Sorry I just want to be sure . Thanks for the response !
Online search Ultra Chem Labs for the chemical and those pads are not worth the effort get any thin pad you can find. I'd go here bonnetpro.com/procotton-carpet-bonnets/ those are the ones I am going to get when I use up the Glad Pads.
I am getting out of the cleaning business so I don't respond to conversations on here any longer but will tell you that an orbiter will not do wood floors as quickly but given enough time it can achieve equivalent results.
Ken Raddon what is the name of the liquid that you applied to clean the wooden floors?and is this liquid good for both finished and unfinished wooden floors?
That amount of water will not hurt wood floors or laminated for that matter. But I am spraying down so little that it would dry on it's own before it did any damage.

Yes but not without it showing. The more skilled you are at applying finishes the less it will show.

Could you combine the steps by using a microfiber pad with scrub strips?

No, that is mopping with a machine. It is not preparing the floor for waxing.

It would not take any kind of wax off the floor. It would work on any finished wood floor but not on unfinished wood.

It is safe for Lamintes of all types. Unfinished wood or raw wood doesn't come clean. You'd have to sand it to get it clean.

Nothing is universal. Ask the people you're buying pads from. "Waxed" is a term that has too many meaning to answer your question/s.

I wouldn't work too hard to find those exact pads. They don't hold up well at all.
