Thank you, thank you, thank you! I set up my new Stellaire XE-1 today. My dealer said I could send designs from computer to machine wireless. I could find nothing no matter where I searched and then your video popped up!

This is really helpful being that I just bought a brother Stellaire with the upgrade. I guess this means I need to get out my laptop (I’m use to using my apple tablet) and get this done. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hello, I have Mac with parallels windows installed on it and I can't get it to find the network sewing machine. Any suggestions
YAY, I’m all set! Thanks Becky. Your knowledge of technology is awesome. One question. I transferred a design to my Luminaire, and inside the design transfer screen, it still shows the design in the writing list. If I want to keep that cleared out once I transfer the design, it looks like all I have to do is right click, and select Remove from writing list. Is there any reason I would want to keep the design in the writing list? Thanks.
No reason to keep it at all. You can always add it back if you ever need to. I like to delete mine to keep it all nice and neat. Also, you'll need to go in every once in awhile and delete the designs in your machine that you sent over wirelessly. Thanks!
Can I do all that with a iPad mini
I used this successfully using Boot Camp partition on my Mac.
Excellent! Thank you. I think you can do it with that because it's a Utility vs. a full-fledged application like Simply Applique.

Thanks, Becky! I just bought a Dream Machine and am confused about what I need for wireless transfer. There is an upgrade kit with the Wireless card. Also a more expensive kit with BES4. I don’t really want more software as I use Embrilliance. Just wondering if this will work with just the kit without the software or is that necessary to set up the card?

Thanks for the info. Can this Transfer file be used with other brands of embroidery machines I have two other machines with WiFi and and other file than PEC.. I dont quilt but enjoy watching
I'm not sure if it will work with other brands of machines or not. It's a free download. Can't hurt to try!
Is there anyway to find out if you can use Windows 11?? Unfortunately my laptop with 10 died recently and had to purchase a new one.. I have been so excited about this method of transfer and your tutorial is so so detailed I love it. Now I need to know if I can finally utilize it.
Yes, I'm using Win 11 now and just installed the DDT utility on my new laptop. Works great!
I'm finally ready to download I got my Stellaire Upgrade, did my Artspira . So now my question..what do I do with my designs that were put in "zip files"? How would I go about transferring?

Becky, I have a Luminaire and I followed your directions exactly to wirelessly transfer designs but I am confused as to how to pull it up on my machine.
Embroidery, pocket for Memory, click the radar waves to access designs sent wirelessly.
HI Becky. I wound this by searching for Baby Lock instead of Brother (I have a Solaris 2)
but, it says I have to contact my dealer to get it, even though its free.
I have Embrilliance and have used WIFI to transfer designs to my machine before but cannot figure out how to do it again.
Which of your videos shows how to send designs from Embrilliance to my machine?
Hi Ellen, just download the DDT like I showed and use it exactly the same. It works! No dealer intervention required. :) In Embrilliance, just go to Utility in the top menu, then Send to Solaris/XP1. It's the same technology. Enjoy!
Should laptop & machine connect to same network or we can transfer files from anywhere?
They must share a network.
I have downloaded a png file to a pes file twice now and each time I try to upload it to the Design Database Transfer app it cannot/will not. I have used two different file converters and still nothing. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I am on a Windows 11. Thanks for your help/advice.

Hi, excuse my ignorance but do you need the embrodery machine registered to pair it with my PC? I have my PC and PR1055x connected to the same network and the Database Transfer does not detect anything. Thank you very much
Here's an article from Brother that may help. It says PE Design but it means the same for the database transfer utility as well.

When I save dowloaded designs on my computer, the folders are blank? (I'm very new to this!!) How to I unzip or open the files properly so that I can select them properly into DDT?

Is there any benefit to using this if your machine is already wireless capable.
If your machine is wireless capable, that means this program is designed to work with your machine. It doesn't work with non-wireless machines.
I downloaded this did what you said . My pes files are there but I can’t get them to transfer. I also tried to put them on a flash drive and my stellaire won’t read the flash drive……….HELP ME! Do I need a smaller flash drive, it’s 64 gig. I have this wonder machine that I can’t files on. And yes the machine is on when I tried to transfer.
Oh my! You need a 4GB thumb (flash) drive or smaller. Embroidery machines don't have enough capacity to index a 64GB drive.
Will this also work on Baby Lock machines since they are so much alike?

This is fine but nobody addresses what to do when the "add" button is pressed and no machine shows up, after hitting refresh still no. It worked fine before one machine update. My machine is 1 month old!
I believe that's an issue with the machine vs. the DDT software. I've heard of this before. Please contact your dealer. Some machines had a hiccup in their wireless after Artspira was installed (if that's what happened). Some have told me that their dealers replaced their new machines because of this issue. Be insistent - it's not you or the DDT utility software. Brother is aware of this because I talked to some of the reps at the last Houston Quilt Fest about it and they channeled it back to them (or so they said).
Also, will this be the same for a baby lock flare? It is also wireless
I hear that it works with the Baby Lock Solaris but I don't know about the Flare.

How do you find out if your machine has wireless capabilities? I have a Brother PR670E.
In your machine's settings, there will be the option to connect your machine to your home router. If you don't see that option, then your machine doesn't have wireless capabilities.

I went to BabyLock and they did say this would work on the Solaris. I have a BL Meridian and it worked! Did my first transfer. Hurray! I did need to make sure to be on the same LAN connection that my machine was on.

This is probably a dumb question, but, how would I get a purchased pes file from Etsy in to design database in the first place? I bought the design and downloaded it into my computer. It is living on my desk top until I figure out how to get it into design database transfer. Thank you!
Usually when you buy a design, it comes as a zip file you'll need to extract. Then it should be as easy to drag/drop into a folder where you store your designs to transfer. Grab the pes file with your mouse (don't double click) and drag it to a folder to use to transfer. I created a folder on my desktop called EmbDesigns that is just for my files to transfer to my machines.
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you so much. I am stuck on the unzip part. I downloaded a program to unzip but I’m so computer challenged I can’t tell if it got unzipped or not, and if it was unzipped I don’t know where it went

You say it works with a Mac, but there's no download of the program for a Mac. So how does it work, please?
In the video at 1:42, I go over the required operating systems and it only showed Windows OS. I mentioned that it 'should' would on a Mac if you are running Parallels and a Windows OS, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Ok, thanks. I guess I missed that part. I have Mac and a Mac OS. I'll continue to research to see what I can work out. So frustrating as to why a major company wouldn't make software for both computers this day and age.

Do you have BES4? I was going to buy the wireless card for my Dream Machine but am wondering if I need to have the software package as well. I have Embrilliance and don’t really want more software.
