「ワルキューレの伝説」は、FC用ソフト「ワルキューレの冒険 時の鍵伝説」で生まれた愛すべきキャラクター「ワルキューレ」と、ファンタジックな敵や仲間たちが、「サンドランド」から「地球内部」と8つの広大なマップに舞台を移して活躍するさわやかで痛快なおとぎ話。2人の主人公「ワルキューレ(1P側)」「サンドラ(2P側)」を操作し、ジャンプ、様々な武器攻撃、魔法を駆使しながら北へ北へと向かう、アクション、シューティング、RPG、アドベンチャーそしてパズルまで、あらゆる方向性を網羅した「アクションアドベンチャー」ゲームである。ナムコシステムⅡ基板の性能を使った演出や、美しいメロディラインを奏でるBGMが素晴らしい。エンディングは必見。
ストーリー:
その昔、神は人間に不思議な種を授けました。その種を黄金に輝く泉の水で育てると、どんな願いでもかなったといいます。人々はそれを「黄金の種」と呼び、平和と豊作を願って大事に育てていました。ところが、その種を利用して世界を支配しようとする者が現れました。悪に化身カムーズです。たちまち平和は乱されました。大地は枯れ、作物は何ひとつ実りません。飢えと憎しみの中で人々の心も次第にすさんでいきました・・・。「サンドラ」は、家族を救うため、また「ワルキューレ」は、世界を救うために再び地上に舞い降りました。

初めてプレイしたとき
メインＢＧＭにえらく感動して
ＣＤ出たら即買った思い出
メインテーマとED曲はやはり名曲
ore ore ワルキューレ自体がもう女神だしBGMも全て神ゲーだわ
ワルキューレの魅力をいっぱいにひきだしたゲームはこれだけだと思う
ナムコさんなぜか他に出しませんね… そして4面の曲が大好きです
このエンディング見るのに、1プレイ50円のゲーセンで50円玉をタワーのようにしてプレイした思い出が30何年ぶりに蘇った。懐かしい。

They were going for arcade Zelda but it mostly feels like a slower overhead run and gun. That’s still not bad. It’s a decent curiosity. They probably could have refined it more in a sequel or two.
The second player character from this game has his own SFC game, which is in my collection, Sandra no Daibouken. I believe Valkyrie has a small cameo in it at the end.
Another Namco classic, great game. There exists an English version, on Namco Museum 5 on the PS1, very pricey collection now though.
Bloodreign1 I've gotten all five Namco Collections on PS1 - US version - a long time ago when I had my PS1. The only exclusive one I haven't gotten was the japanese version of the R trademark, but you can find it under the PSN Store under a japanese account on PS3. Still have all the consoles. ;)
All I have is 1 and 3, and a borked copy of the Japanese number 4 (Pac-Land and Assault are the only working games on it sadly).
Bloodreign1 Wow, that sucks. Hopefully, you can get a better version of that game if you look online then. Otherwise, you just buy it off of the PS3's PSN store. US version has 1-5, I believe. The japanese PSN has all 5, including the R trademark (Namco Encore is the title), and two other Namco PS2 versions. There's an excellent game called Namco Essentials that has 6 games and its demo that gives out PS Home rewards, but since PS Home has died a year ago, you can't get them anymore. :(
+ReccaWolf I have the important titles from Encore on other PS2 or PSP Namco collections, mainly Rolling Thunder. Only thing not on there is Dragon Saber.

Well... It looks really nice. And cute. But boss battles seemes too easy.
Not using magic can be a tough bit, especially with bosses, and not using rapid fire. Trust me, it only looks easy, but not so much in practice and actually playing it yourself.
Kind of reminds of the New Rygar overhead levels.

About Sophitia, in Soul Calibur II her extra outfit is the Princess Maiden Ki (*kai) from Namco's "The Tower of Druaga" (1984) As well the Blue Crystal Rod and Red Crystal Rod (for Cassandra) weapons from that game too!

個人的には、ラスボス直前の曲切れよりもこれが欠けているほうが痛い。

Yes, Replay Burners uses ThunderMAME, which runs arcade games. Every now and then these guys will do a run through a console game.
