Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and seen a ton of his videos but I tell ya, his voice overs where he makes his voice sound all childlike like he's narrating to a bunch of 3 year olds, (for ex., the beginning of every one of his videos) is starting to irk the heck outta me! Don't know why he doesn't just talk normally, but has to change his tone like he's reading a a Dr Seuss book to his kindergarten class 🤣😂

      Just suggest you dont just try at penang try over the malaysian you will find 10x more cheap than penang trust me and a lot of delicious food too like satay, sata, otak2, apam balik and a lot more ! Btw my favourite is sate and otak2 thats like bbq meat and its very tasty btw otak2 is from fish and satay from a lot kind of meat like beef, goat, chicken but i suggest you ask for sate daging=beef satay

    That last mee/meehoon is the ultimate. A masterpiece with a few simple ingredients. Never could find that crispy sweet bean curd outside of Penang.

    As someone who is non-Penangite, Hokkien Mee means a totally different thing to us.
    In Penang, Hokkien Mee is Prawn Mee.
    Anywhere else in Malaysia, Hokkien Mee is Dai Lok Mee(AKA thick noodle).

    You should go to Kelantan or Terengganu bcs you can get to taste delicious food. Some you should try are nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, teh madu, keropok lekor, and budu.

      The last one if without spring roll..U can get as cheap as RM1.20(30cents usd) per plate..n u can find this in whole Malaysia. Normally we can additional some fried egg,sausage, fish ball, vegetables curry, luncheon meat..And more to choices

    1:54 is the noodles room temperature? And how do they keep the noodles from sticking? The vendor seems to have no trouble pulling noodles individually so I'm curious...

      The noodles is tossed lightly with oil. Something like what you do with cooked pasta. It prevents it from sticking to each other.
