If there's ever an award for being"coolest, most likeable and bad assed human"...this award should be given to Guy....continuously performs at the highest level.
And the best thing I like about him is he doesn't a flying f*ck what people think of him. A great outlook to have in our self obsessed world.
A few years ago I saw two of the best looking women imaginable hanging out of him, I was like he must have some money but I think its a lot more than money he has!!

I did go up for some aerobatics once. I did not throw up but did not feel so good. I think what got me was not the Gs but not knowing what move was next. Somehow, knowing what's coming next helps you to prepare for it.
Its like pain that you know is coming versus the unexpected pain.

The thing I like most about Guy is his "genuineness". My bet is that being good friends with him is a wonderful experience.
Shrugging off 7g without training or equipment is no joke. Guy seems to have good genes for dealing with high g forces.
being short like him helps immensely, which makes small short people more badass

@@panpaletkalg2550 You got it. Soviet fighter pilots in the Cold War era where typically shorter than what we think of as a "Hollywood" fighter pilot, ie. the typical westerner that ends up being a pilot. They said even then it gave them better tolerance of G.
I was in a reception room just feet from Sir Douglas Bader in 1980 and he was surprisingly "brief" in stature; factoring in his artificial pins and his age by then. So were a lot of his mates in the room.
Now imagine Guy getting a legit training on how to breathe during high G's and how to handle it, he can probably laugh through it then, what a champ!

Dark Triad - Agree 100% - I think if the guy who crashes, hard, on a Thursday, gets operated-on on a Friday and is up and walking about on the Saturday, admits to feeling a 'little bit second-hand' after that flight, we can know it would have finished almost all of the rest of us!

Positive or negative G, in an aerobatic plane, are the most difficult and hard sensations I've ever had, in sport. So so hard!!!! And I never had more than +6G or -4G!!!! So, Guy, you're the KING!!! Respect!!!!

Indeed. Positive to negative is the worst. I've done +6 through to -4 or the equivalent of 10G which definitely caught my attention!

9G ain't no joke, its incrediblly impressive how much Guy took without no previous G force training, most average humans pass out at the 3 g mark. All that high speed bike racing seems to really have prepared Guy haha. It takes jet fighter pilots years of constant discipline and training not just to mantain conciousnous at those Gs, but also having to stay focused on the task at hand while pulling them, Its especially difficult when you have to maintain them for longer periods of time. They have be consistant, as even just a few days off can mean their G tolerances can go down.

Had my first aerobatics experience in a Grob G 115 (Tutor) as an air cadet, I flew a couple of times in one day out of Cosford and the second flight I was given control for a 4g loop with -2g coming over the top. Absolutely incredible, something I'll never forget.
I did the air experience flight at Cosford couple of times, the instructor let me flew loops, barrel rolls and stall turns. Great experience.
Awesome! The Tutor came into service after my ATC years but I did get plenty of aeros in the Bulldog. Cracking organization the ATC.

And if anyone is not familiar with the work of Fred Dibnah, he has a accent almost as unintelligible as Guy and he was amongst many other things a steeple jack, a builder of steam traction engines, a TV presenter who made the best TV programmes ever, if I had the chance to select two dinner companions it would have been Guy and Fred, if you want to look for Fred on TH-cam look for "Fred builds a chimney scaffold", it is advisable not to eat a meal before viewing.
I LOVE GUY MARTIN. Guy turned up to a Great Western Road(Glasgow) bike shop. When asked by someone in the crowd what he thought of the German cafe racing scene he replied, "Great bikes, great weather and 'alf naked birds". The crowd collapsed laughing and Guy looked stunned at what the joke was. Guy is THEE man. 100% full on great fella.

I flew in an Extra with Ultimate High for my 40th, it was the Dog Fighting Experience. +4.5G was enough for me, I felt like 5lb of shit in a 2lb bag afterwards 😂

I drove a NASCAR on ½ mile and was passing guys who dove their Corvettes at weekend races doing 22-23 second laps. Then, they told me the track record was under 18 seconds!😄😆😅🤣😂
The pilot is the weakest link. 8 g max and only for a few seconds.

Great first high G flights from Guy! If you guys liked this you should check out some of the aerobatics performed by Rob Holland. The man is a beast and routinely cracks 13 G in his airshow performances.

Guy deserves a Nobel peace prize! Yes I know he's no physics or anything but what he does deals with science in many different ways. I know he didn't come up with anything to help humanity or anything but you just got to see were I'm going with this. Guy is a fucking badass ,takes anything thrown at him and whatever else.
Guy Martin, a GENUINELY nice guy (no pun intended) and an Absolute trooper. no real training on camera to cope with the G-Force and no real pressurised flight suit and he just shrugged off 8 G and walked away laughing and smiling. I think he would approve of what I am about to say... "Bloody Marvelous". Great work guy, you are pushing the limits with a body held together by screws and wire and I salute you sir.

When i worked on a fishing boat we often got big tough blokes that said sea sickness was for pussies and they would be fine. day later they are lying on the deck covered in their own vomit crying and wanting to go home! Motion sickness can be brutal :D

Well I didn't! No change in eyesight either! I flew in that very plane from that very airfield and completed the 'Utter Nutter' challenge as can be seen on my TH-cam channel. Yes I was apprehensive to start with but eventually got on with it!

Respect to Guy for doing this. I know what it's like as I've flown in that very plane myself as part of Ultimate High's 'Utter Nutter' challenge as can be seen on my TH-cam channel. I became Utter Nutter number 207 out of around 400 that have tried.
