This is GAS LIGHTING. The Wiggins deal, the jordan pool deal and the Dreymond deal all happened before the new Bargaining Agreement. Thr new CBA has basically made where owners dont want ro shovel out the money, so Wigs, Pool and Green getting paid has nothing to do with respect. Also lets address Klay, Klau was given a deal AFTER he got hurt for 5 years 190 mil. Didnt play for 2 of those years, meanwhile Dreymond had not been taken care if by the organization yet. So Klay feeling disrespected is rediculious.

He had a hamstring strain before game 6 of the finals, he played his hardest and got injured bc someone hit him from the back. The warriors did nothing to stop him from playing. Were they just not suppose to pay there other star during the time? Are you actually stupid, why wouldn't they pay their stars when at the time he was in his Prime, when KD was just about to leave, why would they risk losing another core player...

exactly, it rubbed me the wrong way how casey is pretending like these contracts and the respective situations are a valid reason for Klay to be mad. Dray is still a better player than Klay, Poole had a great season and was key to win the chip, plus he got assaulted at the workplace. Wiggins was also key to the 2022 chip and is younger than Klay. And even if you agreed, that all those contracts are unjustified I would just answer, that Dubs FO learned their lessen and dont hand out charity money anymore.

The biggest injury Klay suffered was his mental health. He went from low maintenance and fun loving to a head case who just could not accept what had happened to him or that he should change the way he played the game. He went from one of the best two way players in the game to an aging and slow shooter with no other skills to offer. Turns out some of the same things that made him great when he was super athletic and in his prime were the same things that made him almost impossible to keep on the court if you wanted to win a game. He has no chill when it comes to shot selection and as soon as he's off ball as a defender is a complete space cadet who just wanders around aimlessly with no idea what to do. He doesn't rebound, doesn't box out, doesn't hustle up and down the court. Even his shooting is more inconsistent than ever because his legs are gone if he plays more than 15 minutes or if he plays too many games in a week. He can't get the same space he used to only has to be slightly off balance for him to end up Klanking bricks.
The best thing the Mavs can do is try and keep him to a spot up shooter playing 20 mins a game at most. But his ego and theirs won't let him.

Kuminga's third season was a promising step forward. Scoring went up to 16ppg & he maintained his efficiency.
Maybe he'll be more motivated to improve & take another step forward with Klay out of the picture - Contract year for him - If he isn't feeling hurt about the front office trying to trade him.
I don't mind the trade for Lauri. But, I think they should use this year to regroup.
-See if Kuminga and younger guys take a leap.
-Kind of wanted them to sign Covington for help on defense and still maybe have an effective small ball lineup. Even Melton is a decent/good.
-Maybe tank & see if you can't get lucky in the draft lottery with next years loaded class.
-Is Myles Turner a free agent come end of the season?

    Hey Casey,
I’m a big fan of yours and have been watching your videos since 2020. You make incredible content please keep up the good work.
But respectfully speaking, you dropped the ball on your argument here and let me explain why
    1) Jordan Poole: He was instrumental in that championship run in 2022. He was a restricted free agent the summer of 2023 and teams like Orlando were interested in Jordan after what he did for the dubs playoff run in 2022. So it made sense for them to lock him up because he was developing at a very rapid pace from the g league in ‘19-‘20 season to the g league player of the month in the ‘20-‘21 season to averaging 20ppg in the second half of ‘20-‘21 season, and finally averaging 23+ ppg on insane efficiency in the ‘21-‘22 season eventually leading to a championship. With that pace he could’ve made even better leaps in ‘23-‘24 so the dubs decided to extend him to maybe save value if he became much more valuable.
Unfortunately the punch threw everything off a cliff and the dubs and Poole are both yet to recover from that.
    2) Andrew Wiggins: Similar to Poole, his defense in the ‘21-‘22 season and his locking up of Luka & Tatum in that playoff run was instrumental in winning the championship. He was also an all star in that ‘21-‘22 season and deserved to be at least a reserve, despite the K-Pop influence on the voting that made him a starter. After the championship run in which he was the second best player on the team, and one of the best if not the best two way players in the league, he was extended with 4 years 109 million. Which in itself is a steal deal because it is an underpay for what he brings to the table. It is unfortunate that his father’s health was so badly affected and that had an emotional toll on him in the ‘22-‘23 season where the dubs severely missed his services. The same health issue in ‘23-‘24 again took a toll on him and he hasn’t been the same ever since his father’s health issue.
    3) Draymond Green: This one is tricky. Back in summer and free agency of 2023, everyone assumed that the dubs would not give draymond the max. And he really didn’t deserve the max after punching Poole and turning everything in that locker room upside down. But other teams were willing to give him that much such as Memphis and Detroit so it had to be matched by the dubs, and I am sure Steph had a say in the team resigning draymond as well.
In ‘23-‘24 he really messed up the chemistry of the dubs by his repetitive ejections and off court antics but what has been done has been done unfortunately and it cannot be undone. Also, from a basketball perspective it is pretty obvious, when looking at the warriors play, that draymond is essential to their success as a team. And that is why he deserves more than Klay for sure, because strictly speaking basketball it’s not even close how much more productive draymond is compared to Klay.
Now coming to Klay, he felt bad that the dubs prioritized PG over him and kept him in the dark and feeling unimportant considering all that he has done for the franchise. It was not about the money after that point, and he wanted to leave no matter what and there was no stopping him. Even Steph couldn’t stop him.
I hope this clears up the idea that somehow those 3 getting money which they deserved when the contracts were given is the reason he is feeling that way. Because they were give. From a basketball perspective and it made perfect sense to lock up the three of them when the dubs did.

Now you’re saying Kuminga isn’t worth to develop? Kuminga was averaging the same numbers as markannen after he called out Kerr. Propped up by Steph and Draymond is an overstatement. It's propped up by Steph alone. They didn't learn from trading Wiseman when his stock was low. Last season was the perfect time to trade kuminga and offload wigs or cp3 for a pg, pascal, og, or markkanen, or depth. It was also a point to not extend Draymond, and trade his expiring year(s)and to not extend Kerr because Kerr not giving the the young players playing time is what hurt them the most. He allowed Klay to shoot them out of games instead of kuminga or moody contributing, and looney to just be a body on the floor instead of Jackson. You have to feel bad for Steph dealing with all these egos and wasting his years at this point.

    @daggy5505 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

okay on top of the million people mentioning the contract that was already offered to Klay and getting paid while injured, there’s another reason we don’t owe Klay shit.
    1. Since he came back in January 2022, warriors immediately benched Poole despite that starting lineup leading them to a 20-3 start. Just for Klay to get his shine, they basically relegated Wiggins and Poole and let curry sit out games to just spend the next couple of months to allow Klay to get comfortable again. Playoffs come around and he’s still shooting tour dates and even curry who was injured, came off the bench. Klays terrible play lasted throughout the postseason minus the occasional great game (game 6 grizzlies comes to mind) and he was horrendous in those finals but yk what, they won the chip anyway
    2. The next season starts and once again this make-a-wish offense for Klay has not subsided at all despite and this is also after the Poole incident, so Poole got a lot of the blame that Klay could’ve had in that moment. Wiggins taking PTO and curry being injured just allowed Klay to take as many shots as he wanted and honestly he had a great stretch in the second half of 2023 season so no complaints there. However, once the playoffs started he was once again terrible especially against the lakers where he shot springtime tour dates.
    3. Imo he should’ve been benched during the 22-23 season to rip the band-aid off but after a bunch of infighting it finally happened in the 23-24 season for Podz. He’s a great rookie but he’s also not meant to play in the Klay role so it was an awkward fit at times. Despite the benching, Klay did seem a lot better here and it seemed like he was getting ready to accept it.
Him leaving was tough to see because he’s one of the greatest shooters of all time and one of the faces of the greatest dynasties of all time, but imo he’s had more than enough chances than most nba players do coming off this many setbacks. I feel for the guy, but you can only get so many chances in life and he blew them
