She sings it for her in the beginning while also addressing her lover and while she gradually understands her situation herself she is more open to explain it and make him aware.. I really love how beautiful she knows how to modulate the emotions. For example when she says ,, that all the boats have his banner" she says it with so much love only to change back to her despair... genius. One perfect performance that is not made by a human but by a human that for a moment transcends her condition. For a moment she is her song.

I didn't understand the French language but I did feel the sadness coming out of her. Like she actually lived this before. Really touched me! Thank you Miss Lara Fabian for singing from the heart. Bravo!
@@PauloBono1978 This is no doubt absolutely accurate. I even would make a bet that it's a particular Dion obsessive who for a long time was in every single Fabian vid comment section I saw. The idea of stanning someone so hard you angrily stalk vids of "the other singer" to downvote and complain in the comments is hilarious lunacy. Cookoo for Cocoa Puffs. 😂
Hi, nice reaction!! Je Suis Malade is a song written and sung in 1973 by Serge Lama and composed by Alice Dona, the same year he gave it to Iolanda Christina Gigliotti better known as Dalida to sing it. I believe noone could deliver the desperation and pain Serge Lama wanted to express when he wrote the song better than Lara Fabian. She sings with her heart and her soul and has a unique way to become the song and deliver emotions, every song is a journey, this is the reason why her fans love her so much. Everybody agree that her live performances are the best version of her songs. On t'aime Lara. Thank you :)
Lara Fabian is simply one of the best singer this planet has known. As a French, I cry everytime I hear this song 😅 (You're reactions are so natural, love it !)
i am so glad you watched till the very end... many reactors to this song miss the sight of Ms. Fabian spending every last ounce of her being... she is in a zone....
Thank you for waiting until the very end of the performance, where Lara is trying to collect herself. It's always a treat seeing how people react to this one. Goosebumps every damn time!!! 😍
As a french 20 yrs old in love with the french language I take so much pride to hear that language used perfectly. The lyrics are so precious and precise ,we rarely see that in today's french language & music. I think I can watch this performance once in a while for my whole life!

Lara is a great singer for sure, in addition to her voice and musical skills she has a great ability. Try to find a concert recording and see how she expresses herself in between the songs. I remember how she mentioned about her mother when introducing Loublie. She is able to express her feelings very well, with her voice, gestures and words. I wish everyone had that ability and the world would be a better place.
Damn, that song, these emotions. Lara Fabian just laid bare her soul and you can tell that EVERY word in this song is soo genuine, 100 % natural and from the heart. This is the second time I am listening to the song, only this time there are lyrics in English - so I can UNDERSTAND what she is going through. And that makes HUGE difference to me. I was tearing up almost all the time, even though I didn't want to. But, I just can't be indifferent to someone who is revealing his/her true emotions and feelings. I. just. can't. This song is just.... something else.
This is the song and the singer in which im hopelessly crying my eyes out building itself up....not able to stop...........and i dont even know why........... incredible ❤
Lara’s Caruso, Mistral Gagant, Comme ils disent, je t’aime, perdere l’amore (Italian) or Quedate (Spanish) are not to be missed! She is incredible! Thank your for doing this.
Enjoyed your reaction very much. Thank you! Lara Fabian is one of very few artists that can truely be called artists. I cannot think of any song she sings/performs that is bland and sung just for the sake of singing. Her musical renditions are filled with colorful nuances of emotion that she weaves into a finely spun gossamer thread. It is that thread which envelops the listener .... to the breathless end. I don't know about anyone else but I always feel exhausted by the end of a Lara Fabian performance 💖💖💖💖.
Thank you for your lovely comment. Did you like the new reaction video I just posted? Hope to see you TONIGHT on my LIVE stream www.twitch.tv/MaggieReneeMusic?
Oh what a wonderful reaction! Thoughtful, kind, emotional. Thank you so much! That pure emotion in a song is so hard to do. You have to be very careful with feeling and portraying it deeply like that - like method acting - it can sink you into a real despair. The body creates the emotion in you when you imagine it and display it. Val Kilmer sank into a deep depression after playing Jim Morrison in The Doors and reputedly needed therapy to help him out of it (but then filming did last several years and Lara's song is only a few minutes!). Thankfully she manages to bring herself back. You can physically see her do it on the film, and although her follow up song in this concert was also quite sad - Je T'Aime - the lyrics and the melody is more uplifting. Then she moved into happier songs and regained her exuberant mood. Lara With Love is the best concert she has done IMHO. She is simply magnificent.
We send you a red, red rose! Lara was so committed in this performance that I believe at the end she was not even aware there was an audience. She was living in another space...... The first time I saw this particular version I could only sit and stare at the screen when it was done. It is truly a transformative piece (for both performer and viewer).
Don't apologize for pausing... it's way better than cutting the video... Love your reaction. Love this song.... i'm not a Lara Fabian's fan but she looks really involved in this song (it's a Serge lama's song... check out) and i can't hold my tears... she just nailed it... nobody can cover that song better now.
Yeah probably one of the best performances of a singer I have ever seen, the song is haunting and her emotional performance elevates it to another level.
LOL! Thank you for your comment. Will you be joining me in the chats tonight for a Special '80K Subs LiveStream Celebration' to connect with my fans and say hello?
What an intense marvelous interpreter (my favourite) she needed a lot of time to get out of the emotion of the song while people was clapping ,rare pure perfection. Stay safe
I really really love Lara Fabian’s voice since long. Letting her sing through 845 valves in homebuilt power amplifier on big JBL speakers with midrange horns gives you serious chills.
ah Lara. A fan since 2002. I am just watching every single reaction video, just to see everyone appreciate her. meanwhile i watched the performance at least 50 times now and my french is pretty decent now ;D
French guy here! Knew Lara when I was a child at the beginning of her career. Loved her since then. I've seen this performance dozens of times and still get goosebumps every single one. As comments say, Adagio, Caruso, You're Not From Here, and many more are incredible. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing the subtitled one, in both langages, everyone can get the meaning behind the pure raw emotions.
Ty from France Maggie. Excellent review. Yes, this performance might be one of the greatest ever. This song is known here to be a masterpiece, but nobody never served it like Lara.
So your channel comes up in my feed, la la, never heard of you but love this performance, I'll kill a few minutes, listen to you preface, blah blah, girl's got good cheekbones, finally she's done, yay here we go, song begins and DAYUMN. Where did YOU come from? Watching you react to this performance, your face! You just became the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. The tenderness, the anticipation, appreciation, joy, despair -- entire empires were built, flamed out, and rebuilt twice in your eyes. Absolutely extraordinary. I have never in my long life seen a human face transformation like this. I'm kind of speechless. Watched again. Yup. Same thing. Totally unfeigned. Since you're on the career track, a wish for you: In every performance, may you always carry with you the woman you were in this video. Totally open and honest and ready to be blown away by the beauty of the human voice. Allowing yourself to go where the music leads you. If you sing half as well as you listen, you're going to have a great career. I, for one, would pay good money just to watch you sit and react to good music.
This song was originally written (and sung) by Serge Lama, about a woman he was in love with (it's even known who she was) and he said that when someone suggested to him a melody to write a song about it, it was so heartfelt that he wrote the whole song in half an hour. Presumably the reason why the lyrics are so powerful.
i wish all could understand all that feeling that is when we come trough a brilliant musician , ouur words can't even work proprely. Bravo work as a coach , and sorry my english. wish u all the best
Oh to have been there! I 've lost count of the number of times I've seen this performance in the last few days, and the number of reactions as well, but man, I'd almost kill for a chance to have been there, that's how powerful that performance is... I love how her breathing and sighs becomes another tool for her to convey emotions, because, to be honest, she could do this without you hearing ANYTHING but her singing, but she choose to let you hear it because it conveys emotion, that's how good she is. Letting her emotions pour from her but staying enough in control so it doesn't overwhelm her, that takes a massive amount of control, and you can see she's still in character at the end, visibly shaking, I'm sad I missed her back then, but glad I found her now
Or maybe Dimash is male Lara Fabian. She was his idol, growing up. Both are great artists. Can't wait for Maggie to react to Ti Amo cosi and Your Love. In the first Lara performs with Dimash and in the second she wrote the lyrics
@@sanarachid8796 It's a trio. Not a duo. But wonderful. Magical. I hear or watch it every week. For me Dimash is the sun, Lara is the heart and Diana Ankudinova is the earth. And Aida? She's special, too. A perfect soprano with a simply beautiful colored voice.
Ach, I have to wait 9 hours?! Looking forward to it. 😃 Love to see people experience this performance for the first time. It was my first Fabian experience and made me, someone who never stans, an instant superfan. Cheers!
@@maggiereneemusic Excellent reaction! It was everything I thought it would be. I only discovered her last year with this same jaw-dropping performance. And down the Fabian rabbit hole zi went. While she didn't write this song, she does write most of her materisl. Fluent in French, English, Spanish, Italian -has written in all of them. Sings very compeyently according to native speakers in 8 more. Famous for not just her velvet timbre and masterful technique, she is known for her performance skills. IMO, her stagecraft and ability to embody the soul of the music/lyrics is unparalled. I've never seen anything like it, with such consistency. She always gives 100% in service of the material and never just to "show off" her instrument, if you know what I mean. I would LOVE to see your analysis of her own song You're Not From Here. (Same live concert as this Je Suis Malade.) On first listen, I didn't "get it" fully - it's got less overt pyrotechnics and is a a quieter, more gentle song. I know just enough to know she makes really difficult things seem easy peasy. I'd love to understand more about what she's choosing to do and how she's accomplishing it. Other fan favorites that showcase her abilities in different ways Adagio, Broken Vow (Both English, written by her) Caruso (AMAZINGLY evocative, Italian) and Perdere L'Amore (Italian -she really "talks with her hands" through it. 😁). All of the above from same live From Lara With Love concert which doesn't seem to have copyright issues for youtubers. Oh, there are two other performances (Performances! Very theatrical) of hers that I'd like to understand better through a trained singer's analysis. I will dig them up and post links in case you're interested in pursuing more Fabian reactions. Sorry for the over-excited wall of text. So glad I found your channel. Off to explore your other vids now. 🖖

A French-Canadian here! X3 I also love her singing in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in the the French-Canadian version ("Le Bossu de Notre-Dame")! I remember my godparents got me the VHS, some clothes and the characters book when I was in kindergarten many years ago! ^^ I recommend the musical too. I just wished they still had the original cast with Garou and Bruno Pelletier, both from Québec. Several singers and actors from Québec made it big in France. ^^
Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, I've watched Lara's performance about 100 times and the majority have been reaction videos such as yours. I've actually watched yours many times and what I like the most about your reaction is that I keep my eyes on you, since I've seen her so many times, and as I'm watching you I get the impression that Lara is talking to you directly as you are sitting across the table from her while she's telling her best friend her story. Ps: She uses to sing this at HUGE places around the world, with out mic. ;) there were moments after this performance that the audience kept in standing ovation over 5 minutes. And she kept still inside the song, shaking body.
Yes, you're right she's amazing. Lara is probably the best female vocalist in the world. When Dimash was a kid, he grew up listening Lara, because shes's very famous in Russia, and he said "when I grow I want to be like she" 🤷♂️ and, well, we can see that he did it. He wanted singing with her, and a few months ago, for the first time, they singed together in Russia. I really love how beautiful she knows how to modulate the emotions. For example when she says ,, that all the boats have his banner" she says it with so much love only to change back to her despair... genius. One perfect performance that is not made by a human but by a human that for a moment transcends her condition. For a moment she is her song.
Thank you for your comment. Metal is next on my channel! 🤘 Set your reminders and 'ring the bell for notifications'! Will you be there tomorrow early in the chats for a fun metal premiere?
I didn't understand the French language but I did feel the sadness coming out of her. Like she actually lived this before. Really touched me! Thank you Miss Lara Fabian for singing from the heart. Bravo!
😊
Who on earth has clicked not liked before it's even premiered??
Love Lara so looking forward to the reaction 👍😊
Thanks so much for your support! 😁❤
easy answer, a Celine fan... 😅
@@maggiereneemusic my pleasure, I love your reactions to Dimash and now Lara... They are my two absolute favourites, no one compares 😘
Thank you for your lovely comment. Hope to see you on my LIVE stream Saturday?
I always cry listening to this performance. That's the power of Lara. She moves people's souls with her singing...
So glad you enjoyed! Hope to see you at my Livestream in less than 6 hours to hear me sing some beautiful songs that I think you'll enjoy!! 😍
Her song brought tears to my eyes.
Lara Fabian is simply one of the best singer this planet has known. As a French, I cry everytime I hear this song 😅 (You're reactions are so natural, love it !)
That is one of my top 3 performances ever. I can only imagine what It was like to be there in person. Brilliant! Bravo!
So glad you liked it! 😁
Peak human experience that’s what I always think/feel when I watch Lara. This is the apex of human capacity. It is astonishing. She is astonishing
She sounds defeated at the beginning, but angry and tired of feeling like this at the end. This character still has hope according to me.
Thank you for your thoughts. 😁
Knowing that the guy who wrote the lyrics actually got the girl back afterwards... you can clearly say there's hope ...
i am so glad you watched till the very end... many reactors to this song miss the sight of Ms. Fabian spending every last ounce of her being... she is in a zone....
Thank you!😀
Thank you for waiting until the very end of the performance, where Lara is trying to collect herself. It's always a treat seeing how people react to this one. Goosebumps every damn time!!! 😍
😁
As a french 20 yrs old in love with the french language I take so much pride to hear that language used perfectly. The lyrics are so precious and precise ,we rarely see that in today's french language & music. I think I can watch this performance once in a while for my whole life!
Thank you for your comment. Will you be joining me in the chats tonight for a Special '80K Subs LiveStream Celebration' to connect with my fans and say hello?
@@maggiereneemusic thank you for your reply! actually it is 3:30 AM here so i dont know if i am gonna be able to do that. But if i cant manage to be there , congrats for the 80 k ! 💗
Gotcha 😁
Lara is a great singer for sure, in addition to her voice and musical skills she has a great ability. Try to find a concert recording and see how she expresses herself in between the songs. I remember how she mentioned about her mother when introducing Loublie. She is able to express her feelings very well, with her voice, gestures and words. I wish everyone had that ability and the world would be a better place.
😁
Magnifique vos réactions vous avez vécu et ressenti la chanson comme Lara l'a interprétée 🙏😍🙏
😁
Love Lara. Best ever interpretation! Credit to Serje Lama!!!
As a French Canadian, I’ve known of Lara Fabian for a long time but this is an amazing performance. Heart and soul
Thank you for your comment! 😍
Salut,
Je me demande si Maggie connais Céline.
Lara is a force of Nature and can break hearts wide open

This is the song and the singer in which im hopelessly crying my eyes out building itself up....not able to stop...........and i dont even know why........... incredible ❤
Thanks for your comment. Did you also like my other 4 video reactions to Marcelito and Morissette?
Lara’s Caruso, Mistral Gagant, Comme ils disent, je t’aime, perdere l’amore (Italian) or Quedate (Spanish) are not to be missed! She is incredible! Thank your for doing this.
My pleasure. Will you join me for the Premiere of José José today?
Thanks for sharing! What a great performance!
"not drying out the sound" - what a fascinating phrase - nice to see you really hooking up with her - she's pretty phenomenal
Lara puts an emotion in the song, even when the song ends she remains in the character.Fantastic kisses from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Yes! Love to Brazil! 😁
@@maggiereneemusic Love too😘
Oh what a wonderful reaction!
Thank you!! 🌹
She is a great artist, an unbelievable professional, a wonderful human being and a phenomenal woman.
I cry every single time I watch this performance.... i can't help it. 💔❤
😁❤
Don't apologize for pausing... it's way better than cutting the video... Love your reaction. Love this song.... i'm not a Lara Fabian's fan but she looks really involved in this song (it's a Serge lama's song... check out) and i can't hold my tears... she just nailed it... nobody can cover that song better now.
Thank you for your lovely comment. Stay tuned for a new reaction video to a new Hungarian artist later this evening. 😊
Lara is amazing and this song is wonderful gorgeus and deep ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad you enjoyed!😁

Yeah probably one of the best performances of a singer I have ever seen, the song is haunting and her emotional performance elevates it to another level.

What an intense marvelous interpreter (my favourite) she needed a lot of time to get out of the emotion of the song while people was clapping ,rare pure perfection. Stay safe
Thank you for your lovely comment. 😍
Thanks for reaction to Lara. She is a greatest singer.
My pleasure!😀
I really really love Lara Fabian’s voice since long. Letting her sing through 845 valves in homebuilt power amplifier on big JBL speakers with midrange horns gives you serious chills.
😁
ah Lara. A fan since 2002. I am just watching every single reaction video, just to see everyone appreciate her. meanwhile i watched the performance at least 50 times now and my french is pretty decent now ;D
So glad!😀
French guy here!
Knew Lara when I was a child at the beginning of her career. Loved her since then.
I've seen this performance dozens of times and still get goosebumps every single one.
As comments say, Adagio, Caruso, You're Not From Here, and many more are incredible.
And THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing the subtitled one, in both langages, everyone can get the meaning behind the pure raw emotions.
Merci beaucoup! 😁❤
And you let her get away?
She better not be singing about you :D
Ty from France Maggie.
Excellent review.
Yes, this performance might be one of the greatest ever.
This song is known here to be a masterpiece, but nobody never served it like Lara.
Greetings to France! Thank you for your lovely comment. Did you also like my other videos on my channel?
Ty. I did not looked a lot of your videos yet. But I'm sure I Will. Loved your réaction to first time listening jinjer. Keep up the good work.
So glad!😍
So your channel comes up in my feed, la la, never heard of you but love this performance, I'll kill a few minutes, listen to you preface, blah blah, girl's got good cheekbones, finally she's done, yay here we go, song begins and
DAYUMN.
Thank you for your lovely comment and welcome to my channel! 😀❤️
This is a master piece no doubt 👏👏👏
This song was originally written (and sung) by Serge Lama, about a woman he was in love with (it's even known who she was) and he said that when someone suggested to him a melody to write a song about it, it was so heartfelt that he wrote the whole song in half an hour. Presumably the reason why the lyrics are so powerful.
i wish all could understand all that feeling that is when we come trough a brilliant musician , ouur words can't even work proprely. Bravo work as a coach , and sorry my english. wish u all the best
Thank you for your lovely comment! ☺️

LOL! Thank you for your sweet comment! 😊
A master class in communicating a lyric. She makes every song a mini play.
Thank you for your comment! Hope to see you at my Livestream in about 4 hours to hear me sing some beautiful songs that I think you'll enjoy!! 😍
Letting her emotions pour from her but staying enough in control so it doesn't overwhelm her, that takes a massive amount of control, and you can see she's still in character at the end, visibly shaking, I'm sad I missed her back then, but glad I found her now
So glad you enjoyed! Thanks for your comment. Did you also like my other 4 video reactions to Marcelito and Morissette?
For me, Lara is my female Dimash as she puts her heart & soul into everything she sings...I'd love to see a duet with those 2!!! ❤️ 💯 💋 ❤️
Couldn't have said it better myself 👋👋 best in the world!!!
Or maybe Dimash is male Lara Fabian. She was his idol, growing up. Both are great artists. Can't wait for Maggie to react to Ti Amo cosi and Your Love. In the first Lara performs with Dimash and in the second she wrote the lyrics
Ti amo cosi is a song performed by Dimash, Lara Fabian and Aida Garifulina
@@sanarachid8796 It's a trio. Not a duo. But wonderful. Magical. I hear or watch it every week. For me Dimash is the sun, Lara is the heart and Diana Ankudinova is the earth. And Aida? She's special, too. A perfect soprano with a simply beautiful colored voice.
😁
she lives the songs she performs wether from her own wrtting or covers. she masters emotions and the fans relate drwn in her story.
So happy you react to Lara. i love her emotional way of singing.

Ach, I have to wait 9 hours?! Looking forward to it. 😃 Love to see people experience this performance for the first time. It was my first Fabian experience and made me, someone who never stans, an instant superfan. Cheers!
Can't wait to experience it with you! 😃

What an absolutely epic performance! Love this song!
A French-Canadian here! X3
I also love her singing in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in the the French-Canadian version ("Le Bossu de Notre-Dame")! I remember my godparents got me the VHS, some clothes and the characters book when I was in kindergarten many years ago! ^^
I recommend the musical too. I just wished they still had the original cast with Garou and Bruno Pelletier, both from Québec.
Several singers and actors from Québec made it big in France. ^^
Thank you for your suggestion!😁
Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, I've watched Lara's performance about 100 times and the majority have been reaction videos such as yours. I've actually watched yours many times and what I like the most about your reaction is that I keep my eyes on you, since I've seen her so many times, and as I'm watching you I get the impression that Lara is talking to you directly as you are sitting across the table from her while she's telling her best friend her story. Lara has lots of expressions and so do you. Great reaction.
Thank you very much. 😊

I never listened to Lara Fabian until Dimash was mentioned and in comparison. She is amazing and out of this world! 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for your comment and for watching my video until the end. I appreciate it. 😁❤🌹
This song is called Ti amo cosi, and also sing, with these two, a fabulous opera singer, Aida Garifullina. I recommend you hear more Lara... effectively she's not from this world 💖💖💖
