Man, I hate grass. You have inspired me and this year I'll have about 1/2 of my 1/2 acre in food (double dug beds, in-progress food forest, rows) 1/4 in wildflowers and ornamentals, and the final 1/4 in grass that I encourage my kids to dig holes in. Buying a book with the crazy name of "Grow or Die" five years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Hi David, I’m going to try tjr this method, God willing. I’m from the sultanate of Oman. It’s very hot and humid. Plants like amaranth, moringa, sweet potatoes and cassava grow well here. Our land is unshaded and our soil is sandy. Should I plant my rows East to West to try create as much shade as possible within the rows?

  • @juguruteacher6204

I don't know if my seriously sandy soil is a blessing or a curse? Naturally no-till? haha I've been kind of adding biochar as I go. I originally got the idea from one of your swampwater videos. I'm not into eating GMO but if they make a potato that tastes like a potato and grows here, I'll cave. :P
