Suggestion too, if you want it to be smoother, mix it in a ziplock bag instead of the container by squishing it between your fingers. The heat of your fingers helps the pigment to blend with the polymer way better. Also, if you want a smooth finish without spots/chunks, sift your mixture from the bag with a really ultra fine mesh strainer. Beautiful colored acrylics! I love that blue!!
Love the pink. You should do a shimmery version by getting the LA colors loose pigments from the dollar store. The white one adds a beautiful shimmer to colored acrylics. ☺️
This just saved my life! I am just getting into doing my own nails and didnt want to buy colored powder yet and was just thinking about how I could maybe mix loose pigments in and then your video got recommended to me!
Love that charcoal grey! You can also use pigment powders (like Mica) with acrylics and get lovely shimmer and matte finishes. I recently got sent a gel polish I didn’t like, so I changed it with a pink shimmer powder (not eyeshadow). As long as the product can hold the powder and you balance the ratio, it’s all good! Loads of fun once it’s done!
This is awesome! I have a eyeshadow palette that is expired but the colors are so pretty and I can’t make myself throw it away. Now I can give it new life on my nails🤚
This is a great way of using any 'excess to requirements' eyeshadows. I always have some that I don't use left in my palettes which aren't right for my colouring (facially) or which may have technically gone past their expiration dates and can no longer be used for clients. I love matching nail polish to accents of colour in my clothing. It will also be useful for sculpting flowers and shapes too. The shimmer ones you did look especially nice. Thank you for this helpful video!
I just bought acrylic nails and this is a perfect idea!! I have to try it out! I’m new on this stuff, does anyone mind to tell me what liquid she dipped her brush in before the powder?
Rebecca Case so much cheaper! The choice of colours is larger and you get what you expect to get, because when you order coloured acrylic powder online you usually end up with something different to the image.
I have been doing my own nails for about 3r4 mths um still waiting on some stuff to come in da mail i ordered off line that i thought I'll need but you and @longhairprettynails have impressed and experied me to keep doing it cuz i was bout to give up but not now and THANKS
I agree that blue is gorgeous with a little shimmer. I have seen other girls put their powders made with chalk through a sieve or a tea strainer and the specs left behind are just thrown out. Perhaps you can do that. Hope this helps ❤️🇦🇺
I am allergic to acrylic so my nails are done with gel. Both my question is that dangerous to applying on my gel nails with your gorgeous product?? Or is there an other product to replace the acrylic powder to go with the eyeshadow to go over my gel nails??? Please!
I’ve never worn eye shadow but, Family Dollar/ Dollar Store here I come. Please tell us the ratio of eye shadow and acrylic used, or chalk and acrylic. Thnx mama, you Rock fo dis girl!
What a brilliant idea. Have you tried adding tiny glitter to it or adding some highlighter to it.. Ooooooh I am so curious and inspired now. Great post for your introduction to me. I subscribed and now commenting!!! Thanks, Hsppy New Years
You are so smart, thanks for sharing. Do you ever get a consistency where it does not dry? Also, try to add the crushed powders to a piece of paper and fold it to make it easier to get into your bottle. Helpful hint.
Eyeshadow is better because it’s made with cosmetic grade mica pigment powder which is typically used to color acrylics so I’d go with shadow!! And strain through a mini sifter for the lumps is my idea
@@NicoleNikkiB Thanks so much... im excited to try this! I use to be a nail tech many years ago and now just do them on friends and myself. I love your video! Luv from Houston!
Rushes to dollar store to buy one each those blush colors lol tfs, I never had any luck with chalk it was always streaky & spotty no matter what I did! New Sub mama!

What was the liquid that you used
Just used your tutorial to make acrylic dip powder! It looks awesome! Thank you!
You know when you buy a makeup pallet and not all the colours suit you? This is a great solution 😎 Thank you so much for sharing x
Your welcome...
You can file the chalk down with your Efile, that gets it superfine and powdery. ❤
Dee Ch wait that sounds cool how would you do that
Yes I do my chalks with Efile to it's perfect
Thanks for the idea....

I just bought acrylic nails and this is a perfect idea!! I have to try it out! I’m new on this stuff, does anyone mind to tell me what liquid she dipped her brush in before the powder?
I used liquid monomer
Nicole Nikki B thank you so much 😊
I have tons of make up I don't use going to try eyeshadow mix save buying pigment powder
Rebecca Case so much cheaper! The choice of colours is larger and you get what you expect to get, because when you order coloured acrylic powder online you usually end up with something different to the image.
Hey I’m just starting out and would like to try this what type of brush is it that you’re using?
Do you use water like of that liquid???
Siddhi Rane it’s monomer.
My mind is just blown. Like seriously thank you!

Awwww thank you so much. Glad I could help. You'll do well, just keep practicing.
Im in the same situation clients keep requesting a certain colour dat i dont have but ordered
But what base you use to mix the eyeshadow with? White acrylic or clear?
I used both. Mainly clear and a little white to make it less transparent.
Can you use a replacement for the acrylic powder?
You should show how it looks while buffing and using e-flie just to see how it reacts...
will do
@@NicoleNikkiB thanks😉😊
@@NicoleNikkiB will hit that subscribe button

Simple Me brilliant idea!
I’ve never worn eye shadow but, Family Dollar/ Dollar Store here I come. Please tell us the ratio of eye shadow and acrylic used, or chalk and acrylic. Thnx mama, you Rock fo dis girl!
Nicole have you ever used the eye shadow in monomer to make a colored liquid? If not would you try that and post it for stained glass colors?
No I haven't tried that but I most definitely well.
I love that grey 💗
I’m glad I clicked on this video this is good tea ☕️‼️‼️
Really cute🥳 Does somebody know how to slow down really fast monomer?
That's awwwwwsum
I like it
I tried it b4 but do not find eyeshadow in such brilliant shades
Great video
Thank you
Lol... I love how excited you are.
That purple is life, I love it hun, great tutorial love, tfs😘
Thank you
So is it just the monomer or the nail liquid that makes it hard? Like there’s nothing in the acrylic powder that does it?
Its both. The acrylic powder and monomer gets activated when its mixed and begin to harden.
Wooooow beautiful blue
Thanks
How do you make acrylic powder
What actual acrylic powder did you use to mix these??
Your nails are popping girl😊💅💅💅...
Thank you
I do this as well with my nail polishes add the eyeshadow to the clear polish an make unusual colours 💖
Does the chalk or eyeshadow affect the dry time of the acrylic?
No because its more acrylic than pigment. I haven't had a problem.
You can drill the chalk with your e file and then put acrylic powder in and mix it up!!!!
They say if you use eyeshadow it lift?
I love the pointer finger desig
Whats the liquid you used?
What a brilliant idea. Have you tried adding tiny glitter to it or adding some highlighter to it.. Ooooooh I am so curious and inspired now. Great post for your introduction to me. I subscribed and now commenting!!! Thanks, Hsppy New Years
Thanks...I have added some glitter to some of my mixes. thank you so much for watching and commenting. Happy New Years
Yes that's what I do I add glitter to mine
Do you mix the eyeshadow with anything or not xx??
You are so smart, thanks for sharing. Do you ever get a consistency where it does not dry? Also, try to add the crushed powders to a piece of paper and fold it to make it easier to get into your bottle. Helpful hint.
No it always dry. And thanks for the paper towel tip.
that burgundy powder you have on... is that mattefied? or no top coat
Matte top coat
Beautiful colors I am going to have to try this. Tfs
Thank you and your welcome
So this is basically like dip powder?? Do you use a monomer??
Yes I used monomer
Is the chalk and eye shadow mixed with clear acrylic powder , I’m a bit confused with what you fixed it with
Yes its mixed with clear acrylic
I love the blush color especially sooo beautiful ty for sharing 😍💞💎💅
Thank you
Where yo get your dampen dish😍 that pink is shpoppiiiinn
I love that charocoal grey n blue
Thank you
You should use mica powders, cheap and already powder.
Awesome tutorial! One question: when you say it's not for strength, just for color does that mean its not very buildable?
It is but if you want them to last longer without breaking I would put a layer of clear over it to make it stronger.
Nicole Nikki B thank you for the response I really appreciate it
You’re so welcome. Glad I could help.
@@NicoleNikkiB can I use them as a dip acrylic with glue??
Eyeshadow is better because it’s made with cosmetic grade mica pigment powder which is typically used to color acrylics so I’d go with shadow!! And strain through a mini sifter for the lumps is my idea
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you! Can this powder be used as a dipping powder?
PS... I love that royal blue and charcoal grey!!
I guess it could but its not a good strength powder by itself. I would dip clear acrylic over it for strength.

Pretty colors how long did it last? and how good or bad is the micheals kolinsky brush
They last really well. Still on til next fill-in. The brushes are ok for practice. Alpha brushes are amazing
@@NicoleNikkiB thank u so much
Beautiful. But how I took out the tiny unseen colors?
This is so cool, I like how you just thought out of the box. Loved the video ❤️. New Sub...thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much
I wanna know what that liquid is
Exactly what i was looking for thankyou🙏❤ definitly got a new sub!
Awww Thank you so much. Glad I could help.
Me too new sub here!!
This actually helped me a lot thanks
Do it matter what acrylic you use . Like natural or clear acrylic ?
Natural or clear would be fine. If you use clear also add a little white to it so it won't be so translucent.
Nicole Nikki B Thank you ❤️
Your Welcome
Can you use it for dip nails also
Not sure
Can this be used as a dip powder as well
Not sure.....Ive never used dip
I am learning to do my own nail can not find a good acrylic brush any suggestions
Alphabrush.com has amazing brushes.
@@NicoleNikkiB thank you
Can cool aid powder work?
I have never tried it.
Great video thanks for sharing I’m definitely going to try this
Thanks
Thank you!! Nice colors
I love it girl I'm gone have to try the shadow I have tons of shadow tfs
You'll love it. And you have so many colors and shades to choose from. ❤
How dif it turn out
Did you add any acrylic to the chalk one?!
Yes....clear acrylic
Great video❤❤
Omg girl I can’t believe this, I don’t know how you thought of this thank you 😊
What works better eyeshadow or chalk?
Eye shadow....chalk can leave little pieces if not grind very well
Cool, I want to make my pink pinker
Cool. Just add more pink to it. If. It's doesn't go on smooth then add more clear.
Can you give me the brand and size brush your using in this video I'd like to purchase the same one. Thank you 😊
Size 10 alpha kolinski brush
Thank you 😊, did you say you got it at Michaels? Lol
Sorry, yes i got this one from michaels. Had to go and watch the video lol
Lol thank you so much! 👍🏼
Love your manicure and thank you for uploading this video 🤗
Thank you
Does the color transfer?
No...you encapsulate it with clear.
Love this so freaking much! Your excitement! ♥️♥️♥️ Im the same way, I feel you😁😁
Thank you for watching
Awesome thanks for the tip i love blue and pink but the gray was just pop.💅💞😊
