*PLEASE NOTE* THIS VIDEO IS JUST SWATCH & DEMO NOT FULL APPLICATION but as long as you prep well and add a layer of base (acrylic or gel depending on how u plan to use the powder) you can definitely get 2 to 3 weeks out of any of these methods 😊
FYI: Due to the power of marketing most people do not realize that "Dip Powder" and regular "Acrylic Powder" are made from the exact same polymer, to create the powder. Often, it's a combination of ethyl methacrylate (EMA) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) the difference is that "dip powder" is pulverized to a finer powder . Higher-end name brand "Acrylic Powder" like Young Nails are finer powder... the cost is higher because It takes much more processing. But dip powder can be used as a regular acrylic powder you just have to adjust how much liquid monomer you use which most nail techs do by second nature. great video/tutorial!
ItsAdriiiBitchez not sure but in her videos doing the dip with “regular” acrylic she doesn’t even use an activator. She just uses gel polish then dips, then light and repeats until she has all her layers then top coats. I do this also but I have an activator so I use it also (just in case) lol
I never knew this was possible, I do my own nails for a year now and I'm a student. it is way too expensive for materials and most of them don't even ship to Canada!! thank you for this!!
I went on eBay and bought a sample pack of soap making mica pigments. Made for use on the body and cosmetic grade. A sample size for making soap is enough to make large quantities of acrylic powder. Only paid like 8 bucks and got 24 colors.
I love dip nails. Once I tried it, I couldn't go back to standard acrylics. I had tons of supplies left over and found that all of the powders worked great. Then when I ran out of the dip activator, so I used my monomer and it worked perfect! And I love those shadows. I have used them for makeup, nails and even my clay sculptures. I mean, a dollar! How could I not try it. lol
I've watched a few of your videos BUT THIS ONE GIRRLLL MADE ME HIT SUBSCRIBE AND THE BELL! Thank you so much for the laughs I was laughin right along with you. I look forward to many more of your videos.🤭🤣
So many people are really budget conscious. Thank you so much for trying out things that would save a huge amount of money. Feeling pretty/handsome despite a person's financial status is so very important for ANY person, so huge nod from me on that!!! To buy some acrylic powder (if a person does not have any with some monomer (eBay ladies and gentlemen!!!) and dollar store eyeshadow is amazing!!
My favourite is the monomer. Only because I've used it. I find it dissolves the powder, and I get a smoother finish. Love using the eyeshadows and chalk to create cheap coloured powders. xxx
I don't know why your video came up, but I'm so glad it did!! You made creating dip powders so damned easy! And affordable!! I'll have to read up on how this affects natural nails because I definitely want to do this! Thanks so much for doing the video!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much ❤️ I'm so excited to try this DIY!!! I can't afford the kits I've been watching, plus I have almost all of the products needed!!! I'm going to be a follower for LIFE!! 🌹🌹🌹

4 different ways to use dip powder that's a cool concept... I've tried the resin before but none of the other ways. Maybe I'll try it some day. Thanks for sharing
im doing this TODAY. also try a neutral background like white or black- the yellow may be effecting the white balance of your camera and making the pigments look different than real life. also try parchment paper taped over the lights for soft light! great tips thank you!
Sooooo cute. Oooh I think you could do some real cute jelly nails with those especially the purple if you divided the dip powder again and added some more clear acrylic. Lol I always get plain nails like really simple stuff but I'd looove to play with these on my sister
Wow! Innovative and gorgeous! I love it!!! I have a question. I’ve never done anything w acrylic nails or powders. I’ve only ever done my nails with regular polishes or nail wraps. My question: how do you remove this powder manicure from nails? Acetone? Is there any special technique that I’ll need to do? Thank you!
Hiiii so you are an acrylic newbie huh? 😊 hiiii 🙋🏽♀️ Well to remove them you just cut and file down then soak in acetone. Very similar to wraps. I actually think soaking off wraps is harder because the resin in wraps doesn't break down as easily as the acrylic powder
Hi! Last night I tried to make my own acrylic dip powder. I used a high definition clear acrylic powder with some eye shadow I scraped into the container and some small sparkles and glitter powder. What should the consistency of the powder be? Cuz mine, I had to almost pat the powder in place or like push my finger against the powder to get it to work there was no way it would work to pour it onto the nail or dip and pull out. They truly did come out amazing when I was done but it wasn’t the easy just dip my fingers in and out and be done. Do you have any ideas for me? And any advice? The powder was super soft like flour almost. It wasn’t very “flowy” like acrylic powder is. Do you think there maybe wasn’t enough acrylic powder?
I actually love the white one of these ive had it for like 2 years lol - thank you so much for this video 🙏 I'm going to use mica powder that I use for bathbombs and bubble bars I'm so excited to try this!
I am obsessed with making my own dip powder, I have watched videos on it but they always say to put it in a blender or grind it up really fine? Do you suggest that?
My dollar store had some loose highlighters from l.a. girl I believe and I can't WAIT to try your methods with those as they have tons of shimmer and glitter..(a bit too much glitter for my face but my nails are DOWN for it! ) thank you😊
have you tried the dip powder with the regular nail polish on your nails (gold one)? Wondering if it helps make them strong like with the glue/bond or not so much? I don't like the idea of the crazy glue on my nails and was wanting to try it with regular nail polish so wondered if you did already. TY

Exactly! Just a marketing ploy! 💯 thanks for watching
Whats a nail dip activator substitute??
ItsAdriiiBitchez not sure but in her videos doing the dip with “regular” acrylic she doesn’t even use an activator. She just uses gel polish then dips, then light and repeats until she has all her layers then top coats. I do this also but I have an activator so I use it also (just in case) lol

Omg these came out so cute! I'm going to try and make some! I like all of them! Thank you!
This was the perfect video to watch for the project I want to do!!! Thank you!
😊
Lol, as a paper crafter I have used those eyeshadows for all sorts of stuff (inc adding to acrylic powder). You can also use artist grade pastels to do this because they have a good strong pigment and can be bought cheaply. You can just scape them with a blade to get the powder.
👍🏽😉 Thank you
Wow girl your not playing .... wow 🙌🏻 yea I’m excited to try one of these they look cool you did good 💖 great job 💖
They are so pretty in person. Hard to capture it in the video! I'll send you all 4 colors or u can pic a color and I'll make it
My favorite colors are the pinkish one (of course) and the gold

So glad I found this video! I’ve been wanting to try dip but not pay the $$ to purchase the dip powders because they are so expensive.

Thanks. I have tried all these ways before except the regular polish one... that was a total expirement! They all worked well tho. 😁😁😁
You can take the bottom off the eyeshadow container by clipping the edges at the bottom. The circle part will pop out.
thank you
im doing this TODAY. also try a neutral background like white or black- the yellow may be effecting the white balance of your camera and making the pigments look different than real life. also try parchment paper taped over the lights for soft light! great tips thank you!

You watch all the nail channels that inspired me to.👍
Add just a little color. Just to color the acrylic but you definitely need more acrylic than eyeshadow otherwise it will not be strong enough.😉
Great idea👍 will definitely try this.... Thanks
I actually love the white one of these ive had it for like 2 years lol - thank you so much for this video 🙏 I'm going to use mica powder that I use for bathbombs and bubble bars I'm so excited to try this!
I bet they will turn out beautiful
Saved by Christ I have tons of mica for my bath bombs. I’m so excited to use them for my dips. Thank you for the video, Nikki!
I am obsessed with making my own dip powder, I have watched videos on it but they always say to put it in a blender or grind it up really fine? Do you suggest that?
You can but this is loose powder so o didn't need to
My dollar store had some loose highlighters from l.a. girl I believe and I can't WAIT to try your methods with those as they have tons of shimmer and glitter..(a bit too much glitter for my face but my nails are DOWN for it! ) thank you😊
Yaaaay Omg how fun!😊😝

How do u do the dip nails
Great of you to figure this out!

have you tried the dip powder with the regular nail polish on your nails (gold one)? Wondering if it helps make them strong like with the glue/bond or not so much? I don't like the idea of the crazy glue on my nails and was wanting to try it with regular nail polish so wondered if you did already. TY
Lasts longer than regular polish if you prep well and add primer 😉
Great Job...love this thank you.
