Life's funny. 10 years ago I had a neck light like that which ran on a regular AA battery. I took it to a friend's house the night another friend was proposing to his future wife, and lost my light in the excitement. I texted the first guy that if he found the light I'd pick it up next time I was at the house. I never went to that house again before his parents sold it, and I only saw the guy one more time, at the second guy's wedding. I still miss that light.
What happened to audio at 0:47 ? Could use Adobe premiere clarity tools here to fix. Was it interference when recording? What equipment do you use for that? Very curious
Christmas has steered away from its true meaning. Consumerism rules at this time of year and so much news is devoted to PURCHASING items -- the objects of desire that distract everyone from what is ultimately important. // Let us remember to spend time with loved ones and to be kind to those around us.
@@drewconway7135 Like many other people, I am consciously downsizing my materialistic imprint and giving things away to those who may actually need one of those items. Our lifestyles of unnecessary clutter can be seen in the profitable business of rented storage units. Mindless accumulation of objects is like a drug to distract or to fill a bottomless emotional emptiness.
I’m there for your anti-consumerism, but these gifts aren’t so frivolous: warm pants, a lighter you don’t have to throw away, something that makes food last longer, a reading light.

I should tell you that I lived in Berkeley for 2 years and was tickled by the "Buy Nothing Day" posters that would go up after Thanksgiving. You are correct about some of those items being of service and not just glamor gifts. I am not exactly free of a certain amount of acquisitiveness but I mostly expressed my lack of identification with traffic jams, especially near large malls. And cannot understand sleeping outside of a big box store the night before Black Friday. Just to buy some appliance that has been marked down to move.
