  • This heater is from FitFirst on amazon. It was sent to me to review and I can honestly tell you that this is one of the best products ive reviewed to date. I love how you can use either 600 watts or 1200 watts or just use a fan. The amazon link for you to check it out will follow. This is definitely worth the money!!

    Awesome review. We keep a small heater in the bathroom here during the colder months too. This old house was built in 1949 and just does not have the best insulation! Small heather like that will keep the bathroom nice and toasty when getting out of the shower!

    • @MountaineerOutdoors
      @MountaineerOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say probably very little insulation if any.. Stay warm

    Does it shut off once it has reached your desired temp ? Or does it switch to fan mode and then back to heat? Also if the thermostat function works the same on both low and high settings because not a lot of others work like that

    • @MountaineerOutdoors
      @MountaineerOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So it doesn't cut off so honestly I have never paid that much attention to it. If it's on fan mode or not but I do know that it doesn't cut off

    Good video ..Like the accent :)
    After using this heater, i wow'ed over the 70 degree turning..
    However the heater is stuck on 18 c Temp... Everytime i increase the number flashes, but then then reverts back to 18 again.. How can I make it stick..?
    this is the max temp you want it to get too?

    would this heat a freezing bedroom quite nicely? or is it better for smaller rooms like bathrooms?

    • @MountaineerOutdoors
      @MountaineerOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd say it would be hard for this little heater to warm up a bedroom. My opinion is bathrooms and very small spaces is where it's good at heating. For a bedroom I'd definitely go bigger than this. Hope this helps.

      Honestly I'd say no bigger than a bathroom. Anything more than that it may but it would struggle. And as for a bigger unit I'm not sure this is a good size for me.

      I can honestly tell you that I still use this heater daily for heating up the bathroom to shower. It's still that good

    • @Tech-geeky
      @Tech-geeky 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Straight up ? doubt it..
      Perhaps i got a dud, but it wasn't even mentioned in the video the auto-shut off happens at ALL times, even in normal up-right position,, when IT gets to hot. The ambient temp. is meaningless at this point..
      I was still cold,, and the heater was only on 14'c n my small bedroom .. Although the use can go up to 36'c, its just shortens the time how quicker it will auto-shut down..
      I blame the fan design... if it was up to scratch, it would be able to sustain and cool down *just as quick* in normal operation. That, plus the plastics used in this product could account for this too.
      Not sure weather i should get my money back, or whether to get new heater.. as the auto shutoff really annoys me only after 10 minutes of use.
      The auto-shut off when you knock it over is good :) I would hav been happy is that's all it was. And if i kew the auto shut off happens regardless by itself, i would have never have bought it

    • @MountaineerOutdoors
      @MountaineerOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can tell you that you doubt it that I use mine still send me your email I'll send you a video proving it to you. The auto switch may be screwed up its may have been damaged in shipping its just a switch that sits on the bottom of the heater and if it is raised up then it may be damaged. Anyway my email is comer7844@gmail.com. If you want me to show you the heater in action

    • @Dantalicious
      @Dantalicious 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I used mine the whole winter at work under my desk. Loved it, it did turn off on its own when it got to the correct temp under my desk but I fixed that by moving it out from under my desk and it would go all day.
      I’d say it’s just trial and error. After I got mine I wanted to return it, until I used it a lot and figured it out. It still works well to this day! Sorry that you had a bad experience with yours.

    • @Tech-geeky
      @Tech-geeky 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MountaineerOutdoors Nope.. auto switching is all fine/. In fact, it seems to be all fine now.. As it sorted itself out... Strange at best...
      Never seen anything like that before.... Few days of it auto-switching off in up-right position, then it "fixed" itself somehow...

    You think i can put this in my car?

    • @MountaineerOutdoors
      @MountaineerOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's 1200 watts. If you had an inverter that could handle 1200 watts or more then yes. It's about 10 amps so that would be your only way. They make some specifically for the car which use a cigarette lighter plug... I believe I'd go that route first. Those inverters are pricy when you need to run items that require heavy loads. Hope that helps
