SYNTH BASS TUTORIAL - 80's BOOGIE FUNK / G-FUNK / ZAPP & ROGER STYLE (PROPELLERHEAD REASON)

In this tutorial you will learn to do a 80's boogie funk / nu disco / G-Funk / Zapp / Roger Troutman style synth bass patch in the subtractor of Propellerhead Reason. If you follow closely, I go through a few different variations. Play with the filter envelope and the filter res until you here what works best for you. Also, the microphone perfectly pics up what the bass sounds like in LP12 on the filter but I think when I originally made the patch I used LP24 which is why I mention to turn it on. It of course becomes thicker and more bass heavy but the microphone doesn't pick it up at the lower end that well. If your not using Reason, you may be able to follow along in just about any subtractive synth, hardware or software.
