honestly I'm a little jealous I didn't pick up this game when it was released and when I tried to play it online it wasn't with people that even cared for stealth of I could plan a boss fight with, must be nice using the net to do a tank battle that lasts 8 minutes when done perfectly in single player in just over a minute

I guess it might be hard to implement in an open world setting though.
Could've been like far cry 4 where someone allows their session to get jumped into or you could tackle a mission with a comrade instead of a buddy

Co-Op against bosses was fantastic in this game. I really do miss it. It almost felt like a Monster Hunter game with guns.

hey AJ. I have 2 questions. Why did it take 2 years for this video to be released? And my 2nd question is are you gonna do ground zeroes next or portable ops?
Biggest reason is that AJ wanted the FOXHOUND codename to cap this off. This game requires a ton of grinding if you want to unlock everything, but that codename requires more grinding than everything else in the game *combined*. If not for that, this video would have been out before The Phantom Pain was released.

The original plan was to move on to GZ and do a full S rank run of that before TPP dropped, but the codename grinding messed that up. Nowadays, the challenge is pulling AJ away from Overwatch :P

Dare i ask how long it took you to make this? Both in actually days/hours spent filming, but also how many times you failed.
That Co-Ops Specialist insignia AJ gets in the video? Several streams were just us grinding that mission for 5-7 hours to get the required 1 mil. Camaraderie points. We had to fight the AI weapons over and over again for hours to get all of the 400 unique AI boards, as well as the custom parts for ZEKE. Getting the parts we needed for the Human Slingshot required us to fight 3 particular bosses over and over again (the items we needed to develop those parts are random drops from those bosses). Getting S ranks on every mission took a few hours, even without factoring in retakes. Except for when AJ was recording for the playthrough, all of this was done on stream.
AJ, Cheese, Daniel and I had to play this game A LOT to get all this footage together.
So how many man-years do you think this has taken, approximately?
Between Cheese, Daniel, and me, we logged at least 250 hours into this game to get all this together back in 2015. Thing is, though, is that AJ wanted to get the FOXHOUND codename in this game, as well; cherry on top of the sundae, so to speak.
The problem with that is that codenames in this game are given out based on ratios of certain playstyles (non-lethal to lethal, short-range to long-range, solo to co-op etc.), and the FOXHOUND codename requires you to get every single other codename. That is *incredibly* time-intensive, and it only gets worse the longer you play and the longer you favour a specific playstyle. Last I checked, AJ has *thousands* of hours logged into this game, and the vast majority of that is him grinding by himself to get all the codenames. That is a big part of why this video is being put up now, when just about all the footage you see in this video was recorded in early 2015. It's been quite a journey, but it's finally here! :D

Not at all. The only time where that’s the case is MGS2 when you play as Raiden.
