I used to buy parts for my Vauxhall Chevette and other cars from there. He knew where everything was and all his prices were “plus VAT”. I remember going in one time towards the end and said that I heard that he had died, his reply was “Yes, I heard that rumour too”!
Been past this garage many a time, but never stopped to have a look, the next time i'm in Mold I will take a look. The Morris Marina and the Austin/Morris 1100/1300 are worth saving its a shame to see these cars waste away. Tesco on the old site of Mold railway station, part of the Wrexham, Mold and Connha's Quay railway. Great video take care
I remember the Pink Paraffin pumps and so nice to see something with Gallons on as well,Radiomobile as i remember used to be one of the top brands available at that time. Great video so glad to see that places like this still exist 🙏
@levelcrossing150 I haven't heard of the brand before. Just looked it up on Google and found some reconditioned ones on a website saying they were fitted to Rolls Royces, Jaguars and similar types of car. Certainly seems a premium product
In 1973 when I was a16 years old apprentice at BNFL , there was a lad whos surname was Harley and came from Mold , I know that it was either his father ,or grandfather that owned that garage ,sadly I can't remember his first name.
I used to get a fair few bits and peices from there. Old man Harley would dig some NOS stuff out of those racks and then charge you the earth for it! 🤣
And now it can take days to get bits for modern cars, never mind old ones. Shame we don't have places like this anymore. Thanks for sharing memories of the garage
Wow, it's amazing how the garage has escaped the vandals and elements...for now it's like a time warp
Going by the wheels that's a Marina TC and a 4 door as well, Which is a very rare car nowadays most were 3 door👍

I used to fit Radiomobiles in cars during the 70's. I had one for my car too and I've still got it. They were a beautiful quality radio and finish.

Great video on Harleys. What an incredible timewarp. 👍🏻
Many thanks. A brilliant place well worth the visit
Like the "Marie Celeste" ... as though the "crew" just mysteriously vanished. Spooky!
It does have a real ghostly appearance about it and does look like they just all dropped tools one day never to return
