      It's awesome, you'll like it. I used to think lights that easily crossed a football field were good throwers, but this thing has completely redefined my concept of long range.

    Hi, I own one of these lights and your review is more or less spot on. Its a fantastic light if you need the throw, or if you need to change your tyre at night, just lower the output, it does it all really but is on the large side.

    Showing the TN42, Thrunite's new extreme long throw light, kind of like the flashlight equivalent of a sniper rifle, great for signalling passing spaceships.

      Actually, the word is that the detent on the Stedemon is very weak, people should probably avoid it.

    just grabbed this bad boy! Although it's roughly 3 years old it's still one of the top 5 or 10 throwers according to youtube. (At the current price ranges for larger throwers, not even considering the newer mini-throwers flooding youtube at the moment). When I first seen these a couple years ago they were $249, now they're $135-149ish range. Probably cheaper if you can get the discount codes.

    I wish Trunite would bring back the t20. I loved that little light but I lost it some how and the closest thing to it is the t10 but it's just not the same.

      I use Thrunite 18650 batteries that came with other Thrunite lights. I see they do not sell them separately right now. Do you have any other Thrunite 18650 batteries from other light which you could use?

      At 2000 Lumens a CREE XHP35 consumes 20 watts, so it doesn`t matter what accus you use at that low power...i`m using Sanyo 3500 Mah NCR 18650 GA to hold longer, now they are made in China, very cheap, but still very good quality

    maybe one day could you do a side by side comparison of the tn42 & sd75?

  • @NIK4LVILL

    how dose the tn42 stack up against the lumiontop sd75?

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, the Lumintop will be brighter closer in, but not beyond it's max range of 652 meters, beyond that range the TN42 will be superior.

    Thrunite 42 is great light when it’s working but even though lots of people favor this light Thrunite has very poor customer service that ends up in weeks of email dialogue but slow and sometimes no response. Acebeam does have good customer service and quick response and they have a facility based here in Texas that works on lights. The Imalant DX80 boasts a 5yr warranty but is known in the past for bad dealings on customer service and should you have to send the light back for a refund, repair or replacement it can take up to a few months or better to resolve issues. Nitecore was one of my worst experiences on customer service with my TM28 which had a bad charging port, I had too escalate it 4 times in order to finally get something done. People should be on edge buying these high priced flashlights because if they won’t immediately resolve the situation then 1. All they care about is the money 2. Leaves you ripped off with a bad experience. I had a maglite that I kept for over 13 yrs and it was tough as nails no matter how many times I accidentally dropped it or knocked it around it still worked and replacement parts were easy to get without no hassles. I have a friend who went out and bought a $300.00 flashlight I believe it was a Fennix and he boasted it too all his friends including me, while it was impressive the coolness of it soon wore off and it just sits in the case now that came with it and he doesn’t bother to use it much if at all. When I buy stuff it’s for practical use, something I’ll use daily at most but unless you live somewhere outside the city or are search and rescue then a 1500 meter throw light is just not practical. I look for flashlights that are just around 300 meters or a little more like the Acebeam X80. It’s great for camping, photography, diving and just getting around plus it’s bright with plenty of flood. Most of these guys making videos of thrower lights live in secluded places or further out of the city which yes the 42 is practical but not for inner city. My Acebeam X80 gets me in trouble once in awhile with the local police because it’s so bright and neighbors tend to freak out over me using it, i can imagine the trouble id get into using a thrower like the 42 locally.
