    One would have to watch late night TV for weeks now to get as many laughs as in the first 5 minutes of this clip.

      Thank you. He was a quiet man and would surprise us with stuff like this. Sadly I was only 17 years old and he wanted me to sing it with him. I was to embarrassed I wouldn’t even sit next to him. Omg if my 57 year old self now could go back and tell my 17 year old self to just do it I wouldn’t have this feeling of regret all these years. To have said I was on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson but I can’t because I didn’t. Ah well glad you enjoyed!!

    Those first two ladies that sang "The Billboard Song" are way behind the times. The old country comedy team Homer and Jethro
    came out with that song in the late 50's. It is on one of the albums they came out with around 1959 called "Homer and Jethro At
    The Country Club"

    • @chrispat65
      @chrispat65  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It wasn’t easy. It took probably 15 years of phone calls letters and emails sent to NBC asking for it. After years and years, I finally got someone who made me a VHS tape at the time. If I am not mistaken now you can go on the tonight show website and search for guests who were on and when. If you can remember who the guests were that should get you the episode. From there you can order it. Good luck. Hope this helps

    @BondoFox Woah, same exact thing for me! As a kid I'd NEVER miss The Tonight Show (school, HA!) and one of my favorite moments, magical more like it, was when that guy, Ernie, would hop over the railing and do that jazz, sort of coked up bop(not inferring that the gentleman used blow, but if not, he should have, lol).
