The downtown of Columbus Ohio is good size. Not to big but has a kind of big city feel. I see a 31 story tower. But that’s it. I’m big into city’s. See you guys had a few 30+ planned but one is no more due to sale of building next door. The other has been on the table for 5+ years. I would love to see Columbus Ohio downtown grow. I have family there. You guys also are getting a downtown lite rail station??

Think your overstating the Silicon Valley presence there. These are data center sites where most of actual administration occurs in Silicon Valley. Same as an Amazon fulfillment center, doesn’t mean that Amazon is based there.

Correct, however if you look at other investments being made by tech companies it’s inevitable that our tech industry will go. We also have a number a large VC firms here that are bringing software companies etc! Thanks for the comment!

Columbus sucks man gimme a break. When was the last time you heard anyone say "I'm going on vacation in Columbus, Ohio." 😑 I was born and raised in Columbus and I hated it and dreamed of living somewhere else the whole entire time. As soon as I got out of high school, I moved out of Columbus and it's the best decision I ever made by far. When I think about living in Columbus, it makes me want to vomit. 🤮 🤢

lol those cranes you showed, just tore down a few historical buildings, Bad for P.R. Downtown tore up indian mounds, etc to build the city back in the day & used the stones to build a lot of the walls down town. bad juju there. Corp landlords have a majority of control if your renting or buying, So we all know how that is. Villages, almost million dollar homes, lock up your cars & a/c units or their stolen. The freeways downtown are orange coned until 2030 The news just reported travel on the freeway will be jacked up for years. Good luck with that. We won't please everyone, but yuppies have forced out the local longer term born here population seniors, lower middle class & pushed them out of their own city. But hey that happens. Love it when care & nursing homes are forced out 30 miles for apartments so others are comfy lol. Karma for them. Housing prices & property taxes has gone up because of the hype of growth, which isn't here yet. Hope you have a job before getting here or what's here is crap lol. The culture gets crushed a lot. The nazis visited within the last few years to start their crap, Klan has been posting flyers in suburbs this close to columbus. But downtown has pushed out a lot of culture places, & they never got to start up again. Us folks born here notice all these youtube vids that never tell people the whole truth, Like the murder rate is down for 2024, So far... If you own kias get the up grade or the kids will steal your car, the homeless is thru out the city, under bridges, in some of the parks, etc like most other cities. The best people to ask & get the real knowledge from is those of us who has been here way longer than all the fly by night folks. But were glad you'll love our city, but it isn't for the faint of heart. Esp if you drive in to the wrong areas of town lol several of those... Just saying. Like most cities. Don't believe the hype, Come visit for several days, see what its all about esp at night time. Check out the whole city so you get the whole truth. Before you have to break your lease or put your house up for sale cause you don't like it here. And as for the housing, they are trying to build more, until then you will pay over market, Low housing doesn't exist, Over priced is the only available ones. Do your homework before buying & moving here. :)

Arrive at the airport 20 to 30 minutes before your flight? Don’t they generally start boarding 30 minutes before takeoff? Unless you want to be one of those people holding things up, I’d suggest getting there earlier. I would love to move back, but the politics concern me. The women in my family deserve to make their own healthcare decisions.

I arrive 15 mins before and board with everyone else...it really is that easy/efficient. You must not follow news much...healthcare decisions (including abortion) are part of our constitution now. If you're not informed, I'd give up on taking political stances

@@Buckeye_97 Oh has the law passed by voters taken affect? I thought that it was hung up because the AG in Ohio was challenging it, and stalling in hopes that another bill restricting abortion could pass the house. But what do I know, right? I should stay out of politics. The fact that you trivialize a concern for women's healthcare only solidifies my concerns about Ohio. From an article online: "There is legislation still active in the Ohio General Assembly that would attempt to take interpretation and enforcement of the abortion amendment out of the hands of the courts. This would be an unprecedented attack on separation of powers and judicial review. Though House Speaker Jason Stephens brushed off the idea of that sort of legislation, a proposed bill was referred to the Ohio House Rules and Reference Committee in January."

@@Buckeye_97 And arriving at the airport 15 minutes before your flight takes off is risky. Unless it takes you 10 seconds to make it through security and arrive at your gate, you are potentially causing a delay for your fellow travelers. Most airlines have a policy that you must be at the gate 15 minutes before departure. Often, they will close the doors 10 minutes before departure.
