There are far more pros than cons living in the 15th largest city in the country. A big pro is access to shopping, restaurants, libraries, parks. If you want to get away, Columbus is 6:00 to 8 hours from a ton of Metro cities like Chicago, Louisville, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, etc. For it being as big as it is, it's relatively quiet and safe. Sure there are some unsavory neighborhoods, but they're small in comparison to the overall City. remember, there are more than a million people in this city. Not everyone is friendly. That's why we have a police force.

A massive police force doesn't help when their hands are tied, laws can't be/aren't enforced, criminals aren't published and just let/loose have a revolving door policy (included violent crime) and theft under $1000 is all but decriminalized.
Not to mention just a couple days ago THERE WERE POLICE EVERYWHERE WHERE THE SHORT NORTH SHOOTING OCCURRED AND THEY STILL LOST THE SUSPECT. To this day, I don't understand the false sense of safety people get from police. Some a shooting happens right in front of them and they cannot apprehend or kill the suspect and they get away in a Honda Civic.... Yeah, I'm not putting my own safety in the hands of the police with a criminal system that is breeding crime.

If you're thinking about it don't.... 5 years ago or more, sure. Now housing/real estate costs have doubled along with huge rent increase, general cost of living (food, bills, etc), massively increased traffic, illegal immigrant population, big tech centers going in when our infrastructure already can't handle current traffic, massively increased crime, etc. It's gotten WAY worse in the last 5 years. I'd recommend living about an hour outside the city versus most any of the suburbs even (including Dublin, Hilliard, Worthington, Westerville, etc).

I've lived in Columbus (for the most part) since I was about 20 in the 90's. It has always felt like a small town city to me. It has definitely gotten more upscale over the years, but that is probably because a lot of people have moved here due to it being a cool place to live. Like the video said, lots of things to do all over town but the roads, lack of good public transportation, and moron drivers does suck. It's also a very diverse city. I grew up in small town Ohio and I have met so many different kinds of people from all over the world since I moved here.

Columbus doesn't have good public transportation but what it does have it a lot of parking and it's very cheap, even downtown. A parking garage downtown is usually between 6 to 12 bucks. Seriously it's cheap and gas is not that expensive compared to other places. BTW it's the 14th largest city in America and in one day you can drive to NYC, Washington DC, Chicago and plenty of other cool places. Also Cleveland and Cincinnati are only a couple of hours and they are fun.
I've been to about 30 states and 15 countries and the shitty drivers are everywhere. I don't know what he's talking about with the traffic it's actually not that bad for this size of city. You can basically drive just about anywhere in 20 minutes. If you know how to drive then stay out of the right lane and put it in the wind. If you don't know how to switch lanes on the freeway it probably will be a little slow going. I've lived here since 1985 and moved here when I was 20. I had a great time here in the 80s.
Just to be clear this is not New York or something. If you want to live in Columbus and be a productive member of society and live a normal life you need to have a car. Some places are non-car owning cities and that's fine for them this is not one of those cities. You buy a car and you learn how to drive properly. Finding a place to park is rarely a problem. If it is you park as close as you can to where you're going and take an Uber or Lyft. That's usually 10 or 12 bucks.

Columbus has the most impatient drivers. They have been voted third most impatient drivers in America. And an impatient driver is a dangerous driver. “Tail Gate city”. Everywhere you drive you will be tail gated. Get ready to disregard the speed limit or you will be passed in the most dangerous situations. Generally, speed over curtsy. A speed limit is a “limit” not a mandatory speed. Twenty five miles an hour is the worst speed limit. There is a good chance you will be passed no matter how dangerous the situation.
Everyone is pushing or being pushed. In an accident, you cant tell the Judge - “Everybody else does it.”

everything is good except the weather, but literally it's the part you can do nothing about, i'm looking for a destination which is a warmer and bigger version of columbus in the south.

All the way through September the weather is beautiful and really there's only about 3 months or so that is really nasty. In the fall when it is kind of chilly we have bonfires and stuff. When it gets really nasty out we just hibernate and then celebrate when spring comes. You will learn to appreciate spring and summer. The Fall season is pretty nice actually.

Columbus is a dull and highly over-rated by Ohioans. Most people in America only know it through learning their state capitals.
It’s kind of big nothing burger. I’ve been there a few times, and the residents seems to believe it’s the greatest place on earth. Yet, when you across the country, you find people who barely have even heard of this place.
