    I have always went to Google to find out things I didn't know... A years back I discovered TH-cam was a great way as well, especially if you need visuals. What a game changer for sure.
    And now ... I will never EVER struggle with peeling a boiled egg again. I wish I would have sought this information much earlier in the game LOL! Procrastination sucks.

    I personally do my egg like this also because it easier for my to just get them out the way and bake. Also of my meal prep is done on the stove so by baking them I have a free burner. Works fine for me and it does peel better

    Should The oven be preheated or put in a cold oven? And should the eggs be room temp or right out of the fridge?

    • @kiltedcripple
      @kiltedcripple 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm wondering that too, as ovens can take very different amounts of time to come to temp.

    The cup trick is great lmao. I used to do that in the same pot I boiled the eggs in before it became a “thing” now I like the cup method if I’m only having 1 or 2 and not making a bunch for the house. Great and quick vid!

  • @TezlaGrey
    @TezlaGrey 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't use the cup trick because I like the eggs while they're still warm. I just smash the top part on the counter once, then use that to peel the rest. Comes off like they're 2 magnets with the same pole

    I wonder if I could put several eggs into a bowl with water, seal it, shake it, then peel them? I'm going to try that first and if it doesn't work then I'll do the cup method. And the baked eggs is a cool technique. I'll incorporate that into my meal prepping. Thank you!

    • @WaterJugFitness
      @WaterJugFitness  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably wouldn't work because the eggs will smash into each other and probably break apart or something, but hey I guess you could always try it. If you do let me know how it goes haha. And glad to hear it helped!

    Nice video. Are they very hard boiled (almost green yolk) by baking them?
    I usually boil as many as I want in a large pan for 7 min, remove, turn on the cold water, find the air sac, then the shell membrane and pull the shell off while rinsing. Clean finish and takes seconds once you know what you are looking for. But then again I know the physiology of avians and eggs so... 😒
    I don't like my eggs super hard boiled because I tend to mould them into fun shapes for cooking events/parties and need the cooked yolk to be a vibrant yellow.
    It is also fun to blow the egg out of its shell or spoon it out.

    can someone please explain what I’m doing wrong. I cannot get the shell to peel off worth a ship! First I thought I was over baking them, so I tried less heat and less time. it might be a little better, but far from what is in the video. i’m using a gas oven and the last batch was brown eggs.

    Sorry ; tried it twice; didn't work for me ! Center of eggs were runny and shell was hard to peel, breaking egg apart. Maybe a higher oven temp . 340-350 degrees. I preheated the oven to 325. Going back to stovetop , never had an issue .
