Oh man, I got this game when I was like 8 and played it for hours. My favorite villagers were chief and bigtop, I never expanded my house, and I went to the shampoodle almost every day. I'd get money by fishing and selling peaches, because I didn't know how to catch bugs. I loved the Marquee, and could never afford anything from graciegrace. I didn't play online at all, but me and my sister would play for hours switching between our characters. I hated Phyllis, I loved sable, and I thought Redd was creepy. The town was called New York, and we accidentally set the time 4 hours early and didn't know how to change it. This music brings back so many memories!
This makes me remember Alfonso. He was my best friend in the game. I always talked to him and visited him. One day my game went missing. I couldn't find it and I knew I had lost it. All the hard work. Sometimes I like thinking he's in the weed-filled, abandoned town waiting for me to come back. But I never will.
Bobsponge if you still have the wii you played on, you can go back to your old town! unlike on the nintendo ds versions, where it’s all stored onto the cartridge, city folk is on the console, so any animal crossing disk on your console will reload your old town :))
Well, I made an entire road network with sidewalks, crossings, curves and pedestrian crossings connecting the most important parts of town and orbiting around it. I even created a new character just for having some of the designs because there were soooo many hahaha
Fun fact, in Welcome Amiibo!, villagers can't move in on top of tiles. So it's wonderful for town planning and to stop randoms from ruining the layout. There are some absolutely gorgeous tiles out there, and bushes really help make them look more natural. It's a ton of work, but worth giving a shot.
Y’all talking about how nostalgic this music is but can we just focus on the fact that the dude who uploads an entire bank of animal crossing songs’ name is just “Andrew” with a picture of some hot guy off the internet-
Throwback to the days where I would rent ACCF from the library when I was 8 and would have it for 2 weeks at a time, and would play it every night until 3 am. I literally cried when on christmas morning I opened a present to find ACCF, and spent so many nights playing it. I would fall asleep to this tune in a desk chair at 1am until I turned 10 and a lightning storm got too close to our house and fried our wii. We never got a new one, and my ACCF disc is stuck in it (as it won't turn on.) Man, I'm only 14.. turning 15 in october and I can guarantee you that in the future I'm going to buy a wii and ACCF. I'm sure there will be many more memories to come for future generations; as the kids born in 200(5-7)+ will remember ACNL as their first Animal Crossing game. They'll want to play the older games and get frustrated that they cant customize the town, and that you can only assess one fossil at a time... but to me? This game taught me patience and to work hard for your efforts. This was the gem of Nintendo.
Huh. I have a lot more arm strength then the average kid my age and I'm beginning to think its from playing ACCF too long, via. the tiring holding controllers.
It’s been a year but I wanna say that I was born in 2006 and my first Animal Crossing game was I think the original, back then we used to pirate games since we couldn’t find them anywhere else. But when I got this game for my Wii I was so excited. I remember playing hours, just traveling around the city, wishing my friends played Animal Crossing... damn I was a lonely child.
Even though New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing, which i got back in 2018, I still think City Folk is the best of the whole series. I got City Folk in November of 2018, and I have been hooked ever since. People love to hate on this game as it didn't do a big enough jump, say from New Leaf to New Horizons, but I think it was the game that was what Wild World could have been.
Aaaaah the days of preschool through second grade. Good good times. My parents weren't separated and school was much easier. I would wake up early on the weekends to find my dad playing animal crossing. My original house and world are long gone. But I still have the same old copy from almost a decade ago, and my old Wii. One of these days I will have to unplug my Wii U and Xbox 360 and play some City Folk. One of my favorite games of all time.
Tangy, Stitches, I hope that when I find my Wii, you guys are still there... EDIT: SO I FOUND MY WII AND ALL MY ORIGINAL VILLAGERS ARE STILL THERE AND I CRIED
this makes me feel... different. this makes me think of goldie. i still remember the day i lost my old wii. my brother and i were fooling around, and he hit the wii really hard. it made a giant dent in the wii. and the eject and reset button wouldnt work, making a disc stuck in the wii, and guess what? it wasnt city folk. i lost all my work. i was so sad, and mad, at the same time. i begged my parents for a new wii, they wouldnt budge. today i thought about goldie, just waiting, and waiting, and waiting. im sorry, goldie, im never coming back. i love you.
this song reminds me of summer of grade five, i had just lost my grandfather to cancer and i remember staying up with my heartbroken grandmother and just listening to this every night, but even with these memories, it will always be my favourite animal crossing hourly song
I think City folk had really good night music also the night music when you travel to town. I miss this music I think City folk is way better then New leaf
I am currently playing this game on a Saturday night. 1:23 AM. I wanted to TH-cam this song to read all the comments of other people drowning in nostalgia (Honestly, the Animal Crossing music comments sections are so pure). Listening to these throwbacks is so sad, but so satisfying, am I right? Lately, I haven't been talking to my best friend of 11 years because of a jumble of different reasons. But hearing this song, reading these comments... They finally made me reach out to her. Her and I would spend literal DAYS plaything this game via WiFi and over the phone back in high school. We would go to sleep while on the phone. So many late nights catching coconut bugs
This is one of the best animal crossing songs. For some reason it makes me want to cry which is pretty silly because I never really had the chance to play city folk , but adore new leaf and wild world. There’s something about this song that’s so comforting and makes me feel safe. Animal crossing deserves the world bro, it makes me want to sit in a little cozy nest and just remember the good moments in life
Ah, these days, it was 1am, a crisp cold breeze through the window, it was a autumn night in 2010, just playing, nothing wrong, everyone was asleep, all nice and calm. I miss you, cashmere. I am getting this game today, and i hope i see you again!
If you are wondering, Cashmere was my bff. My everything. I loved her. I would always stop to say hi and chat. I I would buy her clothes. I would love her. And most importantly, She loved me.
This song is absolutely incredible. my parents recently divorced so i brought this game and my grandpa's old wii over to my mom's new house. This game is literally all I play when I'm over there now, and a couple days ago I stayed up until 1AM playing and heard this song. it was pure magic, and for a moment I forgot all the problems in my life.
@@DEATHFATIGUE yeah man I am. i was in a rough place when i wrote that comment, my parents were splitting and it was near the end of my dog's life and things just weren't great for me. it's been nearly 3 years, and things are still rough from time to time, but that's life i guess. i'm graduating in a month, and while i don't really play animal crossing anymore, i still remember this soundtrack and it brings me back to that point in my life, and it reminds me how much everything has changed. sometimes it's still hard to win, but i can say it has gotten better. thanks for reaching out all these years later man.
Still coming back to this years later. Love the old AC music so much…so many memories of me hiding my DS under the covers staying up way too late for a school night. The new animal animal crossing for the switch just didn’t do it for me. I miss the old vibes :(
Charlotte Palmer city folk/wild world have the best soundtracks hands down. I like the 1am new leaf version, but it dosent hold the nostalgic factor of sneaking out of my room at night to go catch rare bugs
It’s hard to remember but I remember playing this on my Wii. Such grand memories, although I only remember most of the feelings I had, I remember Celeste and her stargazing telescope. My favorite. I would almost cry every time I got stung by bees, or got scared of that mole guy… geez… Such grand memories… Those days are gone, the Wii is gone too. I play Pocket Camp though, that’s at least a plus. I don’t remember my favorite animal, but I looooved the museum guy and Brewster. I would spend hours with Brewster and the butterfly museum. I’m glad to have those memories.

(WARNING: Potential Feels and Long Comment!) This reminds me of when I was a little kid, opening up animal crossing after school. This was the first animal crossing game that I ever played, and I loved it. I played it every chance I had, whenever I was stressed out, or whenever I wanted to just enjoy the purity of the game. I never played online, and I was the youngest in my family, so nobody else joined in on the fun. To me, it was a personal paradise to open my Wii and then start to play animal crossing. My favorite villager was Chrissy, I talked to her everyday, got her gifts everyday, and cherished every moment with her. When she suddenly moved out, I made a section of my house to put stuff that reminded me of her there. I remember seeing the purple pelican at the town hall before I stopped playing to go to bed. I remember upgrading Nook's Cranny to the fullest, I remember the countless times I created designs, went to the Able Sisters, went to the theater to learn emotions, paying off my debt, first seeing Timmy and Tommy, going on endless grinds of collecting seashells, fishing, catching bugs, shaking peaches off of the trees, and then selling the items later. Animal Crossing: City Folk was my first ever animal crossing game, and I loved it. I hope that you did too, and if you haven't, I recommend that you do, it is extremely good. Thank you, for reading this comment, I hope that you have a good rest of your day/night.
Faded memories, running around, it's so peaceful, no problems, just harmony, going fishing, going side to side waiting for fish to show, not going to slow to scare them, just Peaceful.
Oh the memories.. I may just play animal crossing on my DS again, haven't had a chance to play any of the new games but I still have my old DS version. I feel bad for not playing it lately I had so much fun as a kid~
The first few guitar strings just bring me to tears. All I can remember is my baby brother first getting this game and asking me to film him unboxing it. And then the summer nights I would come out of my room and find him fast asleep on the couch, with the game still on. This music would be playing and his villager would just be standing there idling. I miss those days....Soon after that time period, my brother went through a long stage that lasted from his middle school years up until recently, where he wouldn't talk to me or anything anymore. Sort of closed himself off from all of us. But in the past few months, he has changed suddenly (I think he's on antidepressants now or something), and he's like a new person. Super nice to us and doing things for us. He talks to me again like he did when he was a kid. I'm still getting used to it again, to be honest. I'm thankful though.
this was my first animal crossing game and i played it all the time for many years. i never played new leaf since i am 1 of 4 kids and my parents didn’t want any of us kids to have portable consoles (like the 3DS) because it might make us jealous of the 1 who did. i bought myself a switch lite and new horizons as my present to myself for finishing my first year of college with a 4.0, but man, the music in acnh is NOT the same. i wish they had kept the city folk music and maybe changed it slightly. i love these songs & they stir up so many good memories :)
was like 8 or 9 when i got ac wild world for christmas i cried when i first started it bcus of this wonderful music. I cried when i listened to it 2-3 years ago. Such a wonderful game and soundtrack man
After hearing 12am for the whole hour and getting tired of it I remember as soon as 1am hit, I put my nintendo down and just laid there, listening to this calming tune 💕
I love this! And I bought this game day 1, And was my first animal crossing game, but I loved it, and there was a animal I really liked, Drake, and to this day, he is still there, everybody left, except for him, I'm always happy and I revisit the game and he's still there :)
I had animal crossing City Folk for a short time. Sadly I was young and irresponsible at the time and left my Wii on for hours which caused my game to completely break and never worked again. But why does this seem so familiar, I don't recall playing this at 1 am????
on new horizons it would be amazing if when you start the game you could pick any previous animal crossing games hourly music instead of the new horizons music, i love the city folk and new leaf music, i always turn my switch volume down and play the hourly music for city folk on youtube
this brings back memories man. when I was a kid, I had trouble sleeping, so I’d sneak down to the basement late at night and play Animal Crossing until I was tired.
it might be distracting to others but playing this in the background for when i revise stuff for uni is so calming and makes studying so much more endurable
Oh I remember when me and my sister were playing this game and then one day the CD got lost and than I almost died, because of the feeling that I just have lose my beautiful city but luckily we found the game almost one year later XD
This was my first AC game. The first time I played was at my grandmas house and I have a fond memory of playing with my cousin and being so excited at seeing an Oak Silk Moth for the first time, then being EVEN MORE excited when seeing a tarantula right next to it. Such a great time ❤
I can't believe the best time to play this game was a decade ago. There was a thriving people on here with people like larion95, ACCFPopTart, SonicPinhead, accfjournal, jvsgsjeff, and many others that made this site fun before TH-cam started cannibalizing itself in 2010. I'll never forget exchanging friend codes with so many people on this site 10 years and enjoying the summer of 2009.
This music fits so well, since 1am is the latest Tom Nook's store will be open. The game is literally telling you to finish up your last set of fish and get to bed yourself.
I'm looking at all these comments and just thinking, "They must be so happy with a new AC game." The issue with the game though is that the characters don't have any personality, if you have a lazy villager all they talk about is bugs and sleeping and eating, if you have a peppy they talk about getting famous all the time. They aren't as mean as they were before (the cranky's and snooty's) it's disappointing..

I regret not being able to play these games as a kid, but finding them now at least makes me happy 😊
ABSOLOTELY MY FAVOURITE GAME
IM CRYING SO HARD ...
was like 8 or 9 when i got ac wild world for christmas
i cried when i first started it bcus of this wonderful music. I cried when i listened to it 2-3 years ago. Such a wonderful game and soundtrack man
After hearing 12am for the whole hour and getting tired of it I remember as soon as 1am hit, I put my nintendo down and just laid there, listening to this calming tune 💕
“Put my Nintendo down”
I love this! And I bought this game day 1, And was my first animal crossing game, but I loved it, and there was a animal I really liked, Drake, and to this day, he is still there, everybody left, except for him, I'm always happy and I revisit the game and he's still there :)
Awwwww!!!!
my favourite character was drake aswell!! I always gave him flowers and money :>
drake was my boyfriend in the game😂😂
diva was my bestie and drake was my bf XD
Drake is a keeper tho
so many feels
I had animal crossing City Folk for a short time. Sadly I was young and irresponsible at the time and left my Wii on for hours which caused my game to completely break and never worked again. But why does this seem so familiar, I don't recall playing this at 1 am????
1am music was the best...then going into the museum was magic❤️💛💚💙💚💛🧡🧡🧡💚💚💚
this is the best so many memories
on new horizons it would be amazing if when you start the game you could pick any previous animal crossing games hourly music instead of the new horizons music, i love the city folk and new leaf music, i always turn my switch volume down and play the hourly music for city folk on youtube
Yeah I always thought that would be a cool feature too
This feels very nostalgic despite me never playing or watching anything Animal Crossing related.
Placebo effect I guess
that's the power of animal crossing
animal crossing: giving you feelings of nostalgia since 2001
This song hits different with headphones
fishing in my town at 1am while ignoring all my problems irl while this plays is just pure Bliss
this brings back memories man. when I was a kid, I had trouble sleeping, so I’d sneak down to the basement late at night and play Animal Crossing until I was tired.
Animal crossing always makes me feel better, I listen to city folk almost everyday. It has my whole heart ≤3
it might be distracting to others but playing this in the background for when i revise stuff for uni is so calming and makes studying so much more endurable
I was just vibing and the video just finished
i miss being a kid, i miss the early 2000’s constantly and growing up with nintendo.
Just had a break-up, so I decided to listen to the OST of the first animal crossing game I ever had.
stay safe
Goodnight 🤝
Guide me through my final Spanish study session, Animal Crossing. Thank you
I love animal crossing music, It always calms me down 😌
I recently started listing to this song, and me and my mom both play pocket camp, so i ordered her city folk for mothers day
how is she enjoying it as of now? :)
Oh I remember when me and my sister were playing this game and then one day the CD got lost and than I almost died, because of the feeling that I just have lose my beautiful city
but luckily we found the game almost one year later XD
This was my first AC game. The first time I played was at my grandmas house and I have a fond memory of playing with my cousin and being so excited at seeing an Oak Silk Moth for the first time, then being EVEN MORE excited when seeing a tarantula right next to it. Such a great time ❤
this reminds me of my childhood so much, i wish i could go back and not knowing anything
Jvgsjeff still posts like 3 times a week
I just ordered City Folk and I'm looking forward to playing it during quarantine :D
God literally took over the animal crossing team’s mind and made sure we all had this music in our lives
This is what New Horizons is missing
The heart, peace, and quiet.
So true
True asf man, however I do like the 12am, 5am, 6pm, 8pm and 4am soundtracks
This music fits so well, since 1am is the latest Tom Nook's store will be open. The game is literally telling you to finish up your last set of fish and get to bed yourself.
Good for you to fall asleep faster. 5 minutes after listening i fall asleep right away.
It's been 7 years and I still cry so hard
So relaxing
this is why i love animal crossing
now this is what I call good quality content
This sounds like a lullaby...so sleepy...😴😴
Thank you Andrew
I'm looking at all these comments and just thinking, "They must be so happy with a new AC game." The issue with the game though is that the characters don't have any personality, if you have a lazy villager all they talk about is bugs and sleeping and eating, if you have a peppy they talk about getting famous all the time. They aren't as mean as they were before (the cranky's and snooty's) it's disappointing..
feeling so nostalgic when listening to this, missing childhood :(
Just got this game again for my old Wii. It's just as fun as I remember, even without Wi-Fi connection.
Contrary to how lonely this song makes me feel, it's still really nice
Fuck this song dude I'm gonna fall asleep in the middle of the day
I never played Animal Crossing in my life but i damn love its music. Its perfect when i need to focus. Thank you for uploading this
It's 1 AM while I'm listening to this.
Same. It's kinda neat to listen to the appropriate hourly music in real life to match Animal Crossing.
Best 1 AM theme ever made.
sounds kinda like the Harvey's campground in the new leaf update but I forget its been awhile
Um, hello, what masterpiece have I just stumble into?
Got recommended this at 1am. TH-cam knows...
the 8 people who disliked this video got stung in the eye by bees and weren't able to properly see the like button.
finally no tommyinnit in the comment section
Never played that game but the music sounds so nice and relaxing
City Folk still works online for Wii (or Wii U) if you have the wiimmfi patcher. I'm hanging out with friends online now
*that clock isnt on 1 am*
12am from New Horizons might've taken inspiration from this track
I love this music, it relaxes me better than anything else. 🌙
Animal crossing is on of the best Games ever hands down
Man this is so much better than the NH 1am theme...
