"i got bored with my vocals so i started experimenting more" if you experiment every time you get bored with your abilities, i cant wait to read a headline titled "breaking: vocalist justin bonitz to figure out technique that lets you change your body to adapt any vocal range" and you just change from tenor to bass in a heartbeat..
Bros kinda already done that with how wide he’s expanded his vocal range, dude can go lower than me with a decent sounding chest voice and I’m a damn baritone. But in terms of switching vocal parts, that’s physically impossible because your vocal cord size is a finite thing when it’s fully developed
Hey man don't get discouraged the human body is capable of alot if you've got the mindset for it you've got it! it's something that you really have to work at and stay dedicated to this video proves that much but as well as coming from a another fellow vocalist/musician I can say it doesn't come over night I am still working to achieve the tone and screams I want and you are never really satisfied you are always your own worst critic so try not to be so hard on yourself! I dont just mean vocals either apply this to literally anything in life and keep on working at doing what it is that calls to you i hope you have a wonderful day my friend!!! 🖤🤍🖤
A well deserved "flex" video. You sir, are something the metal community has needed for a long time. Your vocals are the change I've been hoping to hear.
Amnaeon was a hell of a flash back. I had just got out of highschool and started working a factory job when i first found your covers. Your progression over the years has been phenomenal.
I haven't heard those amnaeon recordings since you deleted your old channel. It is actually crazy how much you have improved over the years. So happy to have found your music. It's helped me a lot over the years.
I know just watching Justin and trying to imitate and learning from what he’s said (as well as other vocalists of course) and I’ve learned so much and found out so much about my voice, so it’s wild to see his 14 year evolution, truly inspiring
I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Tallah live in Houston this year. Justin, you were on vocal rest, so we didn't get to talk, but man, y'all absolutely destroyed. You are without question a top tier vocalist here in the 2020s and surely beyond. Always look forward to hearing anything you do! 🤘
Crazy to see how much you progressed even self-taught. The hustle is crazy, I cannot wait to hear what else you have in store in the future. Your pipes are flipping nuts bro
Fucking adore you and the stuff you and the rest of Tallah have done. I've gotten so many people into you. Everyone is straight up blown away by your work ❤️
I love the Hungry Lights project so much. I know talking about Amnaeon is probably annoying due to the past, but I really appreciate you putting it in this video. I discovered your work through that band and it is clear the improvement since the early days.
Hey man I just wanted to thank you for what you do. You are the person I look up to for vocals, and ever since I found you I've felt like I'm better than I was before by a significant amount, and have gotten a lot better thanks to your music giving me that "I wanna do the crazy stuff like that" ideology. You are my inspiration for vocals, so thank you for being as cool as you are.
Hey thanks for doing this! I ran into your music on spotify with Dicker's Done recently and was blown away. Truly inspiring to look back at your journey throughout the years, and this is definitely a much needed kick in the butt to continue practicing and improving my screams! \m/
You're a mad lad and listening to you not only made my vocals much better but even my confidence, especially with how you just at least in the past didn't give a damn. I love and respect your growth so much because it helped me in more ways than you'd expect
I really admire your dedication to your craft it’s super cool to see it all progress. I remember the first time I heard your vocs my partner woke me up from a dead sleep to show me a one take performance and said “you gotta hear this!!!”
Loved the quick transitioning from those top tier heavy vocals to your speaking voice at the end🤌😄 but all jokes aside: you sir, are really a master in that craft i nearly shed some tears while watching and listening because your skills are sooo good
I remember discovering Justin’s 10 Different Screams video to teach myself back in 2018, and it was the only video that really helped. Later I stumbled upon Matriphagy and I kept listening to those songs over and over, my mind blown at the range of techniques you were rattling off with such ease, doubled with the incredible story? I was immediately hooked. I couldn’t wait whenever I heard about The Generation of Danger, and I counted down the days of release so I could hear what crazy shit you did next. I also loved seeing that the same vocalists that inspired me inspired you, and your humility and discipline is a shining character trait that we all could take notes from. You’re my biggest inspiration and by far my favorite vocalist, and I can’t wait to see the Tallah takeover! You guys are an absolute force to be reckoned with.
This is a great example of if you do what you love and really put time into it eventually you will find sucess in it (whatever success is to you that is)
I would absolutely love to see seperate videos about the evolution of your rapping and cleans!!! Those are just as fun to me as the mind-boggling screams :)
I am following your channel for a few years and I loved this video. I guess it took a long time to prepare it. It's great to see how much you have learned and how many technics you developed. All the success to you, Justin!
Even when I first found your channel in around 2015 you were such sick vocalist even then. Your improvement in 2022 though was absolutely unmatched. Extremely excited to hear what you've got for us within the new year.
Holy fuck bro. I remember seeing some of your videos a few years ago, and a few that would pop up in my yt feed here and there .... What the actual fuck bro?! This is a-fucking-mazing.
Stay humble friends. We all gotta start somewhere. So incredible to have witnessed this growth. All the power to you my man! Thanks for tearing it up in VB recently as well
I've been listening to you since a year or two before you started hungry lights, and this has really put an amazing perspective on your career as a vocalist. It's great to see you go as far as you have through the years and I'm looking forward to your continued progress! Awesome work Justin!
Man Fothcrah (Demo 3) brings back some memories. That was the first song of yours I heard, it's cool to see how far you've come ! Keep it up man you're killing it
Based on the sentiments early on about having high fry screams and losing them and striving for higher is something I can definitely relate to, and definitely inspiring when looking at how high you can go now in the latest Tallah, absolutely incredible
This video is fantastic. Not only for hearing the obvious improvements of your voice, but watching a true artist looking for the mastery of his craft, not giving up, pushing the boundaries of what's been heard and done before. I may not know all this stuff and can't catch all the subtleties you mention, but I can somehow feel them and know that I'm hearing a true devotion to singing that way of an unstoppable force of the nature. Well done, Justin. I can't wait to hear all those new and secret techniques... :)
Really really cool and inspiring to see how kept at and kept reaching for more where, at any of those sections you made in the video, one could have just stopped and called it the peak of their voice. Thank you for posting this.
ive been doing vocals since i was 13, so around 7 years, but only really started taking them seriously when i was 16-17. Often times i get very discouraged when my vocals arent up to par with the big names in metal. its nice to see a reminder that progress is a continual process.
this is so insane the improvement is amazing. i was surprised i already liked tallah before i got to that part, i wanted to save some songs already now definitely want to check out your older stuff. really love this video
Man. This is beautiful. Ive been following you since 2015 with the Jared Dines submission. That whistle scream was absolutely insane and the first time I heard that I fell in love. Good shit man. Proud of you!
I think you know this from some people, but I had to say it: you are an inspiration! I see your videos since 2016 (from the videos How to Scream) and you helped me A LOT! Thank you!
Ive seen you live. It was my first introduction to tallah. 🎉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 your song overconfidence is a true masterpiece. The way you scream has always amazed me. I absolutely love your voice. I love to sing but only recently decided i have the passion to learn to scream. Im still trying to find mine 😢😂 but im trying to be careful not to hurt myself in the process. I look forward to seeing you again at the aftershock festival this year. I remember suggesting you play aftershock when i met you at the show in chico ca. I lit up when i saw your name on the list this year. Keep rocking. It is inspiring to see your evolution. Wish me luck. Idk if i will ever be able to do what you do but if i could get 1/10 the way there i would be happy enough 😂❤.
This is awesome and inspiring. I used to be somewhat decent at screaming around 2015 or so but then I moved to another house and just started practicing less and less until the pandemic hit and I simply stopped altogether. I kinda want to start screaming again but I feel like I'm too old at this point. I think my clean singing also suffered a lot, even though I like my tone way more nowadays than back when I started, but my breath support is pretty terrible and I interiorized so many bad habits when it comes to compression, projection and trying to add rasp I'm not even sure there's room for me to figure out anything without any professional help, which is not something I'll be able to do any soon. I always liked that "Don't compare your chapter 1 to someone's else chapter 20" quote Justin used to put on his video descriptions. I'll keep that in mind and I'll see what can I do now lol. Thanks for the inspiring video, Justin
Hi ! Thank you for this video ! I followed you randomly on youtube juste after the 10 techniques how to scream. And what you have achieved is really great and inspiring. I work on my voice too but took badhabits over the years, checking bad advices on the internet and mostly on youtube videos. I had 2 great sessions with a coach specialised in screams etc, vocal/singing and distorded vocals. He worked with voice specialist (orthophonists etc) they've done many thing working on the larynx with camera (like the video of last summer with Will Ramos of Lorna Shore). And it's really cool to understand how things work. I'm still figuring out how to do all my techniques effortless !
hearing the evolution is both crazy AND inspiring- i can’t wait to hear what those top secret techniques are in the future 👀 hehehehe
"i got bored with my vocals so i started experimenting more"

@@MystifiedSky39 hes joking man
He'll get Dicker Addison to come up with something
I love the direction you've been taking with Tallah, you've become one of my favorite vocalists in the recent years for sure.
I ain't ever reaching that high level of vocals by the time I'm 30. Absolute beast, very glad to be a fan.
@@JENXVA that's really sweet, I appreciate it, but all of that will be out of my head in seconds.
The catch is that Justin does not have a real human body. We mortals cannot compete. The best we can hope for is a pale imitation.@@coba3220
A well deserved "flex" video. You sir, are something the metal community has needed for a long time. Your vocals are the change I've been hoping to hear.
Damn straight.
Amnaeon was a hell of a flash back. I had just got out of highschool and started working a factory job when i first found your covers. Your progression over the years has been phenomenal.
Hearing the early demo versions of the hungry lights songs is amazing to hear
The way I still know all the lyrics to those amnaeon songs lol. It's crazy to hear your evolution over time. Keep up the great work!
I haven't heard those amnaeon recordings since you deleted your old channel. It is actually crazy how much you have improved over the years. So happy to have found your music. It's helped me a lot over the years.
Justin has always had the most unique screams and I love them
Incredible vocals, Justin
I know just watching Justin and trying to imitate and learning from what he’s said (as well as other vocalists of course) and I’ve learned so much and found out so much about my voice, so it’s wild to see his 14 year evolution, truly inspiring
The whistle fry scream in From The Night (15:36) STILL blows my f**king mind dude.
@@SinisterOutKasT holy shit

Loved you since needless vid and you continue to be my absolute favourite vocalist of all time
