I came across your channel this morning and am enjoying a number of your videos focused on Luang Prabang,. You've chosen good topics of interest and your videos are well done. Thanks for your effort. I only once crossed the river into have never researched Luang Prabang. Thanks to your videos now I wish to visit and will do so when I return to SE Asia at the end of the year. Keep up the good work.
I've been sitting here binge watching your Luang Prabang videos as I will be visiting soon. I hope to stay for about a month. I just wanted to say that your videos are very informative. You also seem like you have a big heart and calm, pleasant personality which I can appreciate. I also appreciate your authenticity and honesty. You should have more viewers. Thank you and safe travels.
Hi there, thank you for your kind words. I hope the videos give you some ideas about your upcoming trip to Laos. Welcome to Laos in advance and travel safe.
I am going to visit Luang Prabang for the first time in two weeks. It sounds lovely, I even like the curfew aspect :) Looking forward to the peace and quiet.
@@natnomad Thank you ☺Are there any Buddhist retreat centers nearby that you could recommend? Ohh and I have a habit of looking for boardgame groups whenever I come to a new city - but I assume it's unlikely to find one in a small town like that?
Unfortunately I don't think if there's any Buddhist retreat in Luang Prabang. There's one temple called "Watt Phapai temple" near the main street where you can join monks for chanting and meditation in the evening. And as for boardgame, I'm not sure where they have it in town.
The inconvenient of livingbin Luang Phabang are linked with the "Bo bpen niang" ( ne pas s'en faire , ce n'est pas grave in french) mentality of Lao people. I thing another actual inconvenient reality is linked with booming flow of not only western but middle class Chinese tourism which makes prices rockets expensive and slowly destroy the spiritual life of many lao people. The town is getting more and more a Dysneyland spot. 😢

@@natnomad Great, thank you for the help! :)
Gracias!!

Very nice guy
It's sounds like I would love Loas / Luang Prabang - I'm always late never on time so it would suite me fine haha
Then I guess you'll fit in just fine in Laos haha
Punctuality: however the first Lao Airlines to Bangkok generally leaves ahead of schedule as soon as most passengers are on board...
Bahama, that also. the bus driver would say "It's unpredictable, when we have enough passengers we would leave ahead of time"🤣
Sabadee, Are you in London? I live in Hackney
Sabaidee, yes I'm in London atm.
@@natnomad , London atm?
Yup, in Soho area
I had dine at the Lao Cafe
Oh I had lunch there today with a friend.
❤

Yes, Luang Prabang can be over touristy sometimes.
I am disappointed.. you talk about living in Lao. But record this in a European country and house. So we dont get to see your house.
Aww...you'll see my house soon hehe
