I am about to turn 55 and I just started with callisthenics. I thought I could not do some exercises but it is incredible to realise how little by little the muscles and nervous system get stronger and get better every time.
I really got surprised. I do calisthenics for about 6 month now and can already do 30+push-ups and 10 pull-ups. But yesterday I tried his beginner course and realized, that I can't do all of his exercises properly or long enough. So it showed me clearly, that I have to train weak spots to improve my progress!

My brother! Good morning to you from Japan! I’m really happy that someone of your caliber took the time to say these important points especially to the younger people. Along with calisthenics and other training, I do yoga and Pilates. Point is turning 60 years soon, the warm up itself will save us a trip to the doctor. Last my biggest disappointment with STREETWORKOUT is that the children in this movement never learned basic body anatomy like a physical therapist or chiropractor. I’m guilty of this myself. Anyway, keep doing your thing my friend. Tim in Fukuoka, Japan 🇯🇵
This has really helped my workouts. Feel a lot less like i'm going to injure myself that before. I kept flaring up my shoulder joints starting with pull ups. Doing the joint prep and rows first- game changer. Thanks Adam.
Good information. I am following a basic strengthening program already, but this looks equally good. Esp. liked the "Prehab" joint strengthening idea. will be doing this for the next few weeks. Subscribed.
Thanks for the videos and the detailed information i am 39 and have wanted to do pullups since well forever but all the videos just seemed to be missing a step or two thanks for filling in that gap wish Me luck
Hi Adam. I'm on your Primal 3 program, on you app. Great programs ! just a question : once at the primal 3, do i still have to keep Inverted rows, push ups and V situps in my sessions ? maybe after the new ones (dips / pull ups / leg raises) ? thanks !
What a great account!!!Love your videos so far..love the way you explain!!!!i have one question when you talk about circles..what do you mean about that?
Hello, do you said to do push ups inverted rows and v-sit ups first, then we progress to dips, pull up and leg raises. I was wondering how can we add pike push ups, and chin ups?
@GymnasticsMethod when you say start with push ups Inverted rows and v sit ups do you do just them then move on to pulls ups dips and leg raises after you got use to cycle one
@@WilliamWallace-97yes. all these are to build a good strong pushing and pulling foundation. so prioritize your push ups and rows first for even 3 months. they will set you up for great success for vertical push and pull
Any videos on how to build up to a regular push-up? I've seen videos talking about doing push-ups on a wall, chair, table, just gradually lowering yourself until you're on the floor. But not all the furniture and tables I have at home are sturdy or safe enough for the risk so I was wondering if there's a way to build yourself up to regular push-up besides doing them on walls, chairs, tables
@@GymnasticsMethod i can't seem to find this info - do you recommend circuits or doing sets one after the other? thanks again for such amazing content.I want to sign up to your full program
@@micah1754 I personally like circuits and I think it’s better to save time. However, sometimes it’s good to switch it up to give the body a different stimulus. I’m happy to welcome you if you join, make sure you enter to the group as well!
@@GymnasticsMethod thank you:) do you mean signing up for the web program ? I would love to but sadly don't think I can afford to at the moment 😕 as for many, covid has had a huge impact on my livelihood. Economically and socially
I have a question.. when you say do them in cycles….. do you mean train only exercises 1-3 (push up, inverted row, v-sit) multiple times a week for (four to six weeks), then progress to exercises 4-6 (dips, pull-ups, and leg raises?) Or do you mean do all those exercises in one training session simply in that order?
The reason I say this is because I am a 42 year old female and complete beginner into this type of training, hence this degree of detailed information is a wealth of knowledge to me 👍

!!! :) Thanks for your comment! 🙏
You do such a great job - and I love how you bring emotional maturity as a necessity to training instead of just cranking out reps
Thanks!

To devide the basics into 2 parts
It's easy!
Start with rows and push-ups in rings.
Add bodyweight squats, and you are advanced!

How often in the week should one train gymnastics/calisthenics? Is there such thing as overworking? What kind of split/muscle groups would that be?
If i was going to show a beginner one video, this would be the one
thank you!

how long is a cycle?
By “cycle” do you mean “different day”? Running horizontal movements separately from vertical?
