    I've had my MT-09 for 4 years now, and my friend just got an MT-10 and....I'm kinda underwhelmed with it to be honest...I can tell that he also really likes the 09, and I tell him that his 10 is awesome but, I would personally never trade. I just feel the 09 is that good. And I've got over 200k motorcycle miles and 15 different bikes under my belt...

      I’ve ridden dirtbikes and have had my first street bike for abt 3+ years now. I’m looking to upgrade from my street triple 675, do you think ill get bored with the mt09? I’ve seen race videos and the street triple is pretty evenly matched but I know the MT is known for its torque.

    First I am happy for you with MT10 between your legs. I however hold no desire to change from my 2022 model MT09. When I found the 09 I was in absolutely total awe. As a lifelong rider, you are always searching for that perfect bike. In the 09 it all came together at least for me. Very lightweight with good balanced side to side and decent riding position. More power than 80 percent of riders can use and it’s spread everywhere in rpm range. Got all the babysitter safety features anyone could ever need. A bargain basement price for what you get. You feel like you own the road when riding 09, no matter the situation. It is just plain wild and wicked to ride.

    • @Builtmoto
      @Builtmoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree! I have not posted at all in a while as I started a family and some other stuff but I still have the MT10 in my garage but I have since added another MT09. If I am going on the highway back and forth to work I will take the 10 but for playing around town and back roads the MT09 is a much more fun, functional, and practical bike with the power on tap regardless of gear and rpm.

    Undoubtedly, the CP4 is king of the lineup. That motor and noise is just special, possibly #1 in all of motorcycling (subjective). After watching weeks and weeks of MT-09 videos and smaller capacity bikes you really forget what the big dog motor pulls like... and yeah, judging from the speedo it is night and day even over the already powerful CP3. Warp speed.

    Great bike. I miss the pipe-organ wail of the old one, but there is a lot to be said for the stealth factor of how quiet the new bike is to others. You can rip around without a bunch of people calling the Sheriff. If I made mine loud, I would lose all of my favorite riding loops in short order... would be staked out by deputies and staters from all the complaints. No anonymity in rural areas.

    How big of a difference can you feel between the softest and hardest suspension settings?

    • @Builtmoto
      @Builtmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is very noticeable! I tend to keep the bike in mode 3 (softest level) but the mode 1 is very aggressive and not comfortable for street use. You can feel every road bump, speed bumps will throw you off the seat, and during acceleration the front end wants to come off the ground very quickly

      @@Builtmoto good to know! I don't love my 2017 MT10's stock suspension on bumpy roads so I'm considering getting the 22 MT10 SP for the versatility between track and street use.

    I’m out of Break in on mine as well just had first service I can confirm the previous gen akra link pipe does fit like a glove I put it on and my tuner told me woolich does not yet have a flash for this bike but he emailed them he says it should be fine to ride with link pipe and stock muffler with no tune but not to do top speed runs in case it’s running lean
    I’ll let u know when he hears back from woolich not sure what your plans are on tuning he said better to get a flash than power commander because with flash you can uncork the bike they have a ton of restrictions on them atleast the previous gen Was
    Im sure this one is just as bad if not worse

    • @Builtmoto
      @Builtmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am waiting my Austin Racing exhaust to get here and then I am working with Attack Performance for tuning. Last I heard from them they have a tube available. It is not the most powerful tune but cleans up the fuel trims in all gears and makes the quick shifter even smoother.

      @@Builtmoto nice man yea that thing is going to sound so good I think im going to be happy with just the decaf and stock muffler I was worried the AR would be too loud for me but man that cross plane is going to sound so incredible with that pipe. That is good to know do they flash the ecu or is it like a power commander type deal?

    • @Builtmoto
      @Builtmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a flash. I do not want to add any additional wiring to this bike. It already has enough computers installed 😂

      @psyfertech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Builtmoto oh awesome yea I hear you there its a very cramped area under the seat at least the flapper valve for the exhaust can go that frees up a tad of room but you have to either get a flash or get the servo buddy to keep from having a check engine light of course, for now I have it still plugged in just without the steel cables connected, and my tuner said at least with a flash they can turn off a lot of the restrictions they put on from factory but with power commander type devices it can't do any of that, ill probably have to hold out for woolwich I think thats all my local tuner uses

    • @Builtmoto
      @Builtmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@psyfertech from what I have heard as soon as woolish unlocks the computer they can dis-able the servo and then you can remove the unit without a check engine lamp

    I had a fz09 now a 20 mt10 and absolutely love it.
    Waiting to get the new 10 sp.
    What a bike you got .
    I'm inveous to say the least.

    High speed in the wind the 10 is so much more stable and solid.
