Great update. I finally made it to Spain to search for a town we may want to move to. We started in El Campello, Then we went to Vera, then Mojacar, and now we are in San Jose. I'll have some videos coming out soon.... I hope.

My wife and I enjoyed this video and we will watch some of your playlists.
Outstanding job speaking to a point, and then supporting it with video of what your were discussing.
Too many of these channels meander.

Hi Nicole, l too buy properties at the low end of the housing market in Spain that l have refurbed to a high standard, then sell on. Watching this video raised 3 red flags for me instantly, as to things l wouldnt do (kitchen, aircon + windows) These arnt criticisms, just not how l do these in my refurbs. Out of interest, where are your properties ? Greetings from Costa Blanca.

Hi Carol! All the things you mentioned are lessons I'm learning. 😅 I'm in the town of Pego.

Do you consider insulation helpful in Spain? I'd imagine one could save some money in energy cost.
Also: as someone in construction: lay out your vision as exact as possible your contractors. The AC work could've set you back if the walls had to be plaster anew.
Make a list of your day to day activities and the utilities you use and you will find a lot of improvement for your living space.

Interesting to learn about the A/C. The front looks great.
You never noticed the sales tax?! Seriously?!

I though that that's because most prices include the tax (which is a lot) but, you mostly get the shock when you look at the breakdown.

Did you need any approvals from the ayuntamiento before doing the work? 30k euros to remodel a house? Thats really not a lot if you're not doing it yourself.

80% done and 40% left to go! Fudge factor math.
