Screen is still quite dim when viewing HDR content. There is a workaround involving shining a bright light on the light sensor while viewing HDR videos to brighten up the screen a little bit, then turning SENSORS OFF on the quick settings toggle so it doesn’t dim back down after turning the bright light off. Developer mode has to be on and go to the Quick Settings developer tiles to turn the Sensors Off option on. Problem is you have to do this everytime if you don’t want the sensors off all the time.
Im still rocking my s22 ultra, yeah it's not perfect with battery life but performance, camera and features are that of the same on the s24, i didn't see it being a significant upgrade but most likely I'll upgrade to the s25 ultra & see a big difference

Fold is great! But to be honest, it's very inconvenient. If you work any physically demanding job, or just appreciate how quickly you can navigate and get into your phone - the Fold is not for you. It can be quite cumbersome.

Sharp corners over round corners is not a reason to evaluate the quality of a phone IMO. S24 Ultra is a great phone, I dont see any excitement with the iphone 16 (me being an iphone user since the first iphone that came out until the 15 pro max). I find the S24 Ultra a better experience, no need to go back to apple.

All they need to do is add a button to disable adaptive brightness for HDR but they refuse to do it. I read S23 and some other ones also have this same issue. 8 months after launch and it looks like it'll never get patched.
to be fair, HDR is broken EVERYWHERE :D either it's a pixel / iphone / my laptop - everywhere it's ruining the experience the moment you go onto non-hdr content

I agree with the fixation on cameras as if someone's running around taking photos every 5 minutes Believe it or not I have a S23 ultra and I travel and very seldom use my camera. I have eyes and a good memory I don't have to capture every nanosecond of my life in a digital format. They need to focus on the screen and battery technology and leave the camera race where it is. Viewing the s24 plus side by side with the older s21 ultra the natural pink/flushed red/warm tones are presented a pale greenish yellow tinge most noticably in skin tones when streaming all video and media, and thats with vivid turned all the way up, the phone leans less towards red and more towards yellow tones
Thanks for the video. Messaging is a mute point now that ios 18 has come out. I have the s24 ultra and my wife has the 15pro and RCS is working great!! What Apple obviously doesnt want to talk about, as well as some Apple reviewers is that imessage was Apples carrot stick into the ecosytem, this was the differentiating aspect that had people gravitating to Apple. S24 is much more fun to use.I bought both because I couldnt make my mind up,iphone is lovely to look at and hold in your hand, but it is so boring to use compared to S24.
I’ve used it only four days and sold it again and return to iOS .. I missed Face ID , Apple Pay, and MagSafe and the quality of the third party apps besides few things.. the amount of reviews I’ve seen for S24 ultra made me believe that it’s the best phone but on real life sorry.. I’ve used pixels and Sam before few years but still Can’t love Android..
Samsung has their own version of Apple Pay, works the same way so not a missing feature. Samsung also has face unlock, though it doesn’t work as good and you cannot use it for identification (you have to use the fingerprint reader for that) and there are hundreds of cases which makes it MagSafe compatible so that’s also a minor issue. The thing I can agree on is that apps are not as optimized for android compared with iPhone. But all the extra features and functionality you get with Samsung makes well up for it imo. I have been using both Samsung and iPhone and I honestly think that the only real reason for anyone to get an iPhone is if they are well invested in the Apple ecosystem. But your opinion is as valid as mine, if you didn’t like it then iPhone is also great.
I have the s24 ultra. Great phone other than it's way too gigantic. I thought I would get used to a phone this huge but my gosh it's terrible. I don't see everyone's fascination with phones you can't even reach half the screen with one hand. Going to go back to the z-fold as soon as I can.
Very nice review! I appreciate this type of long use review, which is helpful for someone on the fence regarding purchase. I feel the same about my S24 Ultra and am thrilled with my decision to move to Samsung, from Pixel. 📳
Hi - iPhone user here. The last Android was Nexus 4. I want a Samsung 24 ultra 1 TB as my backup phone. I mostly click silly pics and make videos, plus some streaming. No social media except Reddit. Already a 15PM user. I’ve never bought a Samsung before. Is the Samsung protection plan worth it? I am on the East coast. Can anyone give me a good referral code please? Please don’t hurt me because I am an iOS user.
📞So, yeah, watched all the way through. Apart from some AI stuff that I'll never use in real life, I can't see much of a difference from my S23 Ultra to be honest.
I traded my S24 Ultra for an iPhone 15 Pro Max with someone and to be honest I'm glad I did. I don't have any issues with my iPhone and the new IOS 18 update makes it better. When I had my S24 Ultra I never really used the Pen that much nor the camera but with the 15 Pro Max I used the camera more.
It honestly depends. Both have great software support. Both are powerful in their own respective way, I think snapdragon would last longer because it has more raw performance over Pixel, but I think Google's cameras will stand the test of time. It really depends on personal preference I think it's tough to say which one is better.
Has samsung quality and reliability improved post 2015 ? is performance and quality close to iphone ? I used galaxy s6 in 2014/2015 and it was so terrible in performance that starting next year I started seeing lags and all and by end of 2 year phone was just pathetic because of which moved to iphone
@@drakata27 true , i am more concerned on long term reliability .. i am not sure if Samsung will perform on similar level after 2 years. Because my iphone 12 is still working flawlessly after 3 years
Which one do you prefer right now, pixel 9 pro xl or 24 ultra. Debating on going back to Android but if I do make switch I’d probably go with Pixel or wait for S25 Ultra. iPhone is just easy because of Wife and kids but I miss Android 😡!!!
Honestly everyone has different wants and needs what I prefer may not be what’s best for you. Best to go into a store and look at them both for yourself and make a decision, but narrowing it down to 2 choices is already a god head start!
I appreciate your honest opinion. I’ve actually had both the Pixel 7 pro and S23 Ultra. But went back to iPhone for Family but just miss Android. I liked Samsung better before and felt the Pixels weren’t ready for primetime but been reading a lot on Pixel 9 Pro XL. So was wondering if they made a significant jump. Been following you for quite a while and have watched your channel grow significantly. Great work and it’s much appreciated. Glad to see you’re getting your just due!!! Keep Doing You!!! Becoming my go to reviewer. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@Thee_Critic73 Pixels have made a significant jump in terms of hardware. The screens are much more premium and vibrant, build and ergonomics are better more reminiscent of the iPhone design, camera is only getting better, they've installed ultrasonic fingerprint and retained their 3D cameras for secure face unlocking, the batteries are much better and optimized for extended use, and I've seen no complaints about modem connectivity. I've seen a couple people expereince a bit of lag when scrolling certain apps still, but that's a specific use case based on your preference. I'm more of a power user and kinda relish the features, productivity, and customization of a UI along with speed and security. I've been a Samsung fan for years and I'm rocking the s24+ right now, but the Pixel 9 series looks incredible. You want a polished Google experience with AI, simple interface, and great photo quality? Then get the 9. Just understand that some features are grid locked based on countries and they still don't have the best chip for rendering, gameplay, or faster processing.
@@jordanjackson8873 I appreciate you taking the time to give me a detailed run down and insight on the Pixel phone. I can’t lie I love the design look of the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Again, I appreciate you Bro!!!
@@valismind yes i also prefer rounded corners, not so white internal display and more vibrant colors, and it is strange but heavier zf5 feels more premium for me, zf6 is too light and feels strange like a toy...
Does anyone elese has issues with charging? Same behaviour with S23 ultra. Not always getting fast charging and never more than 34W charging. Same chargers charge my S7+ tablet at 45W. All samsung components.
I'm picking the Pixel 9 Pro XL over the S24 Ultra. The Pixel Phone doesn't come with bloatware like the S24 Ultra The Pixel has a superb camera system that takes natural, even-toned photos, unlike S24's photos, which are artificial & over-brightened The S24 Ultra has copied a lot of features from the Pixel 8 Pro & not vice versa
Samsung apps are not bloatware they are much better than google have you ever used Samsung phone, notes, health, wearable, even clock and weather is better
Are the battery issues in the s24 ultra resolved which were messed up due to updates? And wanted to know if OnePlus 12 would be a better pick of the two?
Battery has definitely been better since the last update. I'm getting back to the days of my phone pulling 15-18 hours of battery along with 7-10 hours of SOT.
I came from the s24ultra now i own the A35... its the same shit for a far lower price😅 cant believe i payed 1200 for the ultra while this one cost me 240. The best thing i like is the peace of mind. If this phone broke or get lost i would care less
@@anandraj.p0406 my Ultra broke and needed a new phone fast so i bought a cheap one. Its a big phone but i have big hands so for me its not really a problem
@@anandraj.p0406ultra broke so i bought a cheap one and now i wont go back to a 1000+ phone. The A35 gives me all i need.
What's the name of your wallpaper?
The front display is gorilla glass armor, not gorilla victus 2.
📞So, yeah, watched all the way through. Apart from some AI stuff that I'll never use in real life, I can't see much of a difference from my S23 Ultra to be honest.
This would more likely be my next phone
I traded my S24 Ultra for an iPhone 15 Pro Max with someone and to be honest I'm glad I did. I don't have any issues with my iPhone and the new IOS 18 update makes it better. When I had my S24 Ultra I never really used the Pen that much nor the camera but with the 15 Pro Max I used the camera more.
Bro according to you…
Which one is more sustain or longevity smartphone user experience is too much good
Pixel vs Samsung ….
Luv from india
It honestly depends. Both have great software support. Both are powerful in their own respective way, I think snapdragon would last longer because it has more raw performance over Pixel, but I think Google's cameras will stand the test of time.
It really depends on personal preference I think it's tough to say which one is better.
@@valismind grt answer bro …. Thanx ❤️
That was before One UI now Samsung's flagships are way better but iPhones will always have better optimised apps and smoother feel in my opinion.
@@drakata27 true , i am more concerned on long term reliability .. i am not sure if Samsung will perform on similar level after 2 years.
Because my iphone 12 is still working flawlessly after 3 years
@@asifhalde6485 yep thats why I ditched Samsung and switched to iPhone. My 13 Pro day one has no signs of slowing down
Which one do you prefer right now, pixel 9 pro xl or 24 ultra. Debating on going back to Android but if I do make switch I’d probably go with Pixel or wait for S25 Ultra. iPhone is just easy because of Wife and kids but I miss Android 😡!!!
Samsung oneui is much better than google clean system and apps eg. Phone or Health is better on samsung and you have spen and dex
Like I said I had Pixel 7 Pro when it came out but I felt like it still needed some work to become a true daily driver but it’s sounding like they made great strides to get it to a daily driver level.
Again, I appreciate you Bro!!!
Lol blessed us for 1k lol 😂 you blessed them but good phone btw
Watching on zfold5 is a pleasure, good content
Man the Fold 5 was such a good phone, I should’ve never got rid of it. I prefer it over the Fold 6 tbh in some ways.
@@valismind yes i also prefer rounded corners, not so white internal display and more vibrant colors, and it is strange but heavier zf5 feels more premium for me, zf6 is too light and feels strange like a toy...
nice video man ❤
Much love thank you!
Review the End User Agreement. It will tell you distances to operate the phone away from your body. We all hold the phone too close to our heads.
Ain’t nobody reading that tbh
I agree. Artificial intelligence is a gimmick.. even Apple is not prepared for this..
Watching on my s24 ultra and yes its all true 💙
Such a good phone!
@@valismind yes in deed
Does anyone elese has issues with charging? Same behaviour with S23 ultra. Not always getting fast charging and never more than 34W charging. Same chargers charge my S7+ tablet at 45W. All samsung components.
maybe because it slows down the speed when reaching certain percentages to cool down.
I'm picking the Pixel 9 Pro XL over the S24 Ultra.
The Pixel Phone doesn't come with bloatware like the S24 Ultra
The Pixel has a superb camera system that takes natural, even-toned photos, unlike S24's photos, which are artificial & over-brightened
The S24 Ultra has copied a lot of features from the Pixel 8 Pro & not vice versa
The Pixel is such a good phone. Truthfully, either or you'd be happy with, I love the 9 Pro XL.
@@valismind which one's battery is better?
Samsung apps are not bloatware they are much better than google have you ever used Samsung phone, notes, health, wearable, even clock and weather is better
@@valismindmate you have the crap tensor chip in that pixel against the snapdragon 3 in the ultra !! You must be smoking something
why are they all honest reviews?????
Are the battery issues in the s24 ultra resolved which were messed up due to updates? And wanted to know if OnePlus 12 would be a better pick of the two?
Op12 is worse but cheaper, better go for s24 plus
I'd go for S 24 ultra for performance and resale value
Battery has definitely been better since the last update. I'm getting back to the days of my phone pulling 15-18 hours of battery along with 7-10 hours of SOT.
Nice cerveza Modelo t shirt
I came from the s24ultra now i own the A35... its the same shit for a far lower price😅 cant believe i payed 1200 for the ultra while this one cost me 240. The best thing i like is the peace of mind. If this phone broke or get lost i would care less
Lol definitely not the same
@Nino-r8r bro u switched from Ultra to A series.. why? U think s24 ultra is too big for u.?
@@anandraj.p0406 my Ultra broke and needed a new phone fast so i bought a cheap one. Its a big phone but i have big hands so for me its not really a problem
@@anandraj.p0406ultra broke so i bought a cheap one and now i wont go back to a 1000+ phone. The A35 gives me all i need. I love the peace of mind because if i lose this 250 phone i would care less than losing my 1200 phone. With the A35 it feels like im getting more than i pay for. But with the ultra it feels like im getting less than i pay for. The a35 is the same size as the Ultra
anyone compare this stuff to honor magic
In ur opinion, wich phone is better S24 ultra or iphone 15 pro max? (Please say one)
Both entirely different phones, with different operating system - it depends really, if you’ve been using iPhone for your whole live, get an iPhone, vice versa.
Can't compare the two. They are two different things. Like a cabbage and a Tesla.
