This is massively helpful! I've tried to use other tutorials to use Remmina or some other RDP software to remote into my other computer, and no one ever mentions that you need to log out of your server computer before remoting in. Perhaps most experienced Linux experts know to do that automatically, but people new to Linux would not know to do that; so thank you for adding that detail to your video!
this tutorial works: I was able to remote access my mini pc. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. What I learn in doing this in my specific case is that I need to have the OS to ask for the passward after booting the pc or rebooting for Remmina to have remote access. And for some reason when remote connected the power off and reboot buttons were inactive so "sudo shutdown now" great learning experience for a noob in the linux world
Hello. I'm new to the world of Linux. I'm ok with computers. I have a mini pc ( it was going to be throw in the garbage at work) with win10 but its performance were bad, so I installed Linux Mint. I saw your video tutorial and I have some questions about the remote connection. the mini pc will be used sporadically to download big files. due to space limitations and to minimize wires to connect to the minipc, I would like to remote connect to the mini pc from my main pc (win10) using a virtual machine with Linux mint. 1- is it feasible to use Linux mint on a VM to remote connect to the minipc? 2- when I set up the Xrdp on the minipc, will Xrdp start automatically when I power the minipc so I can remote connect to it? Thank you
I cannot seem to ping from my mac to the linux mint 22 vm running on a windows 11 pc. And the RDP client from macOS keeps trying to connect with no success. The VM is setup with NAT for lan connection on the VM. Using VMWare Workstation Pro for Windows 11. Any ideas @linuxort?

Now do Sunshine and Moonlight. You're welcome.
Instead of using Remmina could you use Microsoft Remote Desktop on a Mac?
yea if you're on a mac
