- The Panamera is one of the vehicles that helped Porsche meet new customers. On the outside you will see a refresh on the styling, Turbo S wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. On the inside you will be greeted to a sea of leather and carbon fiber. Under the hood is a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that pumps out 550HP. Is the Porsche Panamera Turbo a BETTER performance sedan than a 2023 BMW M5?

@IamGettis I've purchased new and used. A 1 year old CPO is the best buy. That'll give you 5-6 years /unlimited mileage warranty vs a 4 year / 50k mile warranty on a new one.

I drove the Panamera Turbo S on the track at the Porsche Driving Experience. It is completely insane, I can't even imagine what a GT3 is like.

I also drove the Panamera Turbo S at the Porsche Driving Experience! We’re you able to drift it? I couldn’t get it right! Great time though! How did you like the race start right towards the wall?
@@SuperSolMan1 I did it in Atlanta, I think there’s an LA one too? I was on the new track here so must have been a different layout. My attempt at drifting was laughable at best. Launch control was mind bending and so was the handling. If I ever have a spare $190k I’ll be in the market!
Turbo S is much better than the non s Turbo. The non S Turbo doesn't make any sense to most people. (the cayenne Turbo was officially dead)
In my opinion Pana Turbo S is a nice performance sedan. But it ain't worth the extra money compared to M5 or E63s or even GT63s. That's why they sell so few of them like it doesn't exist.
@@philipjaffe8788 I also did it in Atlanta a few years back. It was a great time! The worst part for me was getting back into my Cadillac CTS-V coupe that I LOVED before the experience! It felt like I was driving the Flintstone’s car after driving the Panamera! Like you, I’ve been searching for an extra 200g ever since!

I own a panamera turbo and I can tell you that this car is simply amazing. Luxury and sporty, you can really feel the spirit of a 911 inside. I've owned M cars and this is another league.
As for the black door handles, I think this would make more sense if the wheels were also black, so I'd have to agree that the body color on the door handles would be preferable. Overall, this sport sedan really rocks! Dave says "cool"!

This was the greatest video I have ever seen. You always paint an excellent picture with your explanations. However your face on the dash cam, says it all. Loved it. And you could not contain your excitement. Great video again. I wish I could afford one.
I have a 2022 Panamara Turbo S and love it...!!mine is 620 hp...the suspension makes this car a real sports sedan...LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
For pure performance NO, but I'd consider this a better all arounder than the M5. More luxurious and more practical. Higher quality too.

When I win the lottery, I’m gonna stay humble. All I need is a Cayman GT4RS, 911 GT3RS, and I’m gonna switch from the fastest Cayenne to this Panamera for my daily. I’m a simple man, I don’t need much.
Edit: I think I’ll keep the top trim Cayenne too- I forgot about the big dips on surface streets!

Dream car. All the power and fun of an on-the-ground Porsche, with all the practicality of a wagon or SUV. Liftbacks should be more commonplace... can't change my mind on that.

I've always appreciated the styling of this car - way better looking than almost all 4 door sedans and SUVs. It was/is also much more attractive than the first gen cayenne, although that car has gotten better over the years

But overall daily and practicality + performance ..

I love the Panamera, I have to say I prefer the wagon version but this sedan is amazing. Easy and comfy to drive but keeping the sporty side.

Super car. Tippy top dignified relatively quiet acceleration. A life changing car. Imagine the ending of the movie 'the Graduate' with this car. He would have gotten the girl before the wedding even started.

Is there an option to remove the rear console to instead get 3 seats? I have an S6 right now and regularly haul 4 people with me so I would have to overlook this unfortunately if it's only 4 seats.
Yes. You can order it as a bench seat for 3 in the rear

In Germany the Panamera is S - Class, 7 - Series and A8 territory with a higher Porsche price, the 5 - Series BMW is smaller and a lot cheaper.
Maybe in the USA something is different ?
This one seems to have simple 14-way seats, not 18-way as he mentioned. And it's production is 2020 or earlier, in 2021 it was restyled with a new steering wheel. Car itself is great BTW.

Joe is the first Auto Journalist Ive watched to not complain about things costing extra to have, I think it’s the smartest for Auto Companies to do bc it’s like toppings on ice cream, everyone can customize it with the pizazz they want- and yes expect prices to be different depending on the options -haha anyone else get me ?

I Love the Panamera the most. I might get it next I Love BMW but This Vehicle looks Amazing. I would like the Infotainment screen to be a little Larger. But everything is options. You can buy this vehicle for $150,000 and add in $100,000 options which could vibe up to $250,000. Porsche should include some of these options with the vehicle as a standard like most Brands that I Love.
Joe, you mentioned the Audi, Mercedes, BMW alternatives. Where is the love for the Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo in the performance sedan offerings?

There isn't one - at least not since 2016. Depending on how long the "long run" is, this may or may not be an issue.
