Excellent review ... perfectly balanced combination of first describing a car's features and then sharing its driving experience! Also, you and Leah are definitely the new "power couple" for creating super fun car content on TH-cam 🤓. Thanks again and cheers from Colorado!
The suspension raising/lowering is a huge plus for those of us who struggle squatting down for ingress/egress…this may in fact take sales from Cayenne…
The reason I return to Porsche is the service, the car is a no-brainer, but the service is exceptional, unmatched. Just make sure you can afford it before diving in
Great review as always Thomas! I also prefer the gasoline models as eHybrids are heavier and less "purist" as you mentioned. I think the sweet spot is the GTS (I heard they'd announce in coming summer) but my concern is lack of the Active Ride system. I assume that performance wise a GTS and 4eHybrid would be comparable (even though v8 will be much more of an engine), while the 4eHybrid will offer the Active Ride. Turbo eHybrid will solve all the problems (v8 with Active Ride) but I think that it's too overpriced for a Panamera. What would you recommend between GTS and 4eHybrid? (4S eHybrid won't be available in my country). You said you'd rather get the base Panamera for the more purist driving, does that mean you feel like the Active Ride is not worth it (hence the pure v8 GTS will be the best choice?). Thank you always!
Thomas one suggestion which I would love that I havent seen anyone do it... When reviewing Plug-Ins no one ever mentions or tests them with 0 battery or mention if the system allows a bit of battery at all times so you can maintain full power in long trips for example. I think you were the only one mentioning it once on a porsche but cant remember which video was and I think you should give that information on every Plug-In. It would be fantastic as you can not find it anywhere even from the manufacturer.
Hi, I have the 2023 Panamera 4s e-hybrid for 9 months now. Battery is still the former one (so less powerful), but I think it will be the same in both cases. You always have the boost function available, even when it shows "0 Km" (so empty) in electric. In sport & sport +, it charges the battery while going, up to a 80% (if you drive enough time, of course). In a 500 Km trip, I started with empty battery: it was from Germany to Brussels, and in the German motorways, I was in Sport mode, changing to hybrid when arriving to Belgium. Looking at the stats, I did 70 Km in electric motor (fully charged: I get around 50 Km). Regards, Miquel

I think they are a little bit different, Mercedes E-active body control don't need 400V system to run and it also uses cameras to scan the scan road's condition
@1:20 Rappers have been doing this to their cars for quite some time now. (Without the smartphone app control though!) Didn't Mercedes also have this 'magic control' for their GLE and S-Class? (E-active) Is Panamera Turbo the flagship vehicle for Porsche or is it the Taycan Turbo GT? Turbo S?
I love how with Porsche it feels like the engineers still rule whereas with some other German companies (cough Mercedes cough), the engineers have no say and it's just cost cutting. Love this company and their engineering approach to making cars. This is why I fell in love with German machines. The engineering stood out. Now with some of the brands it no longer does. So well done Porsche. Don't stop being masters in engineering.
Technology copied from the Chinese sports car BYD U9 that was released one year ago. That one can even jump and drive with only 3 wheels. th-cam.com/video/EydOYoK0Wkk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hYWlkZYIbQdStrpn
Good and informative video but, you mention, regarding the " trick " suspension that you could buy a car for the same money. Coming on to the cost of the turbo with " all the bells and whistles ", for that price you could buy an excellent house or apartment! New car prices are out of control now.
As much as I love this car I kinda fell in love with the E53 AMG you reviewed 2 days ago. The i6, the mild hybrid, and the glowy interior and screens were just so much better than this. Still, the Panamara is a Porsche and that suspension was hilarious.
E53 is beyon a mild hybrid, it's a plug-in, and for much less than the panamera E-hybrid. I agree with you, I would save many thousands and go with the E53, if i wanted a plugin hybrid executive sedan.
@@myemailiscool Yeah I agree, you make a good point. I just have a tendency to refer to most hybrid systems as "mild" because I feel they should be so much more robust.

€8000 for active ride seems a fair price, considering Tesla charges a lot more for software that does NOT do what its name says it does.
Very fair. They charge $500 for interior lighting package
Yet everyone thought US$6500 was expensive for the similar (prequel to this) E-active body control by Mercedes.
This is really sick. Especially the response time.
The active suspension reacts to the G-forces. Braking naturally generates more force.
Well i think a base rwd model with simple stage 1 tune and around 420-450bhp (500kg!!! lighter than turbo hybrid) is a perfect choice for a daily limo
