A lot of people think that a Christian guy is essentially what the modern church has made them to be (skinny jeaned worship pastors) when in reality you cannot use those things to judge what is truly in their hearts. I've heard of many church staff members like this who were very far from God or very shallow in their faith, even though they seemed on fire for Him at youth groups or worship time or whatever. I'd like to know where you guys live. I live on the west coast of Canada and it's beta male central out here. I've heard many many guys brag about "how much money" their wives or girlfriends make. To make it worse it's feminist central. The city is so expensive it's almost impossible to live with one income mathematically. Now that's not me. I'm traditional. I work in financial markets and I'm heading towards being quite wealthy. The only way I will choose to get married is in a traditional marriage where my wife is a mother and wife. But I would love to know where you live?
Um most men want us women to pay for everything! The last relationship I had beat me up because I wouldn't pay half the rent and threatened to sell all my things if I didn't pay his rent! He drank all the time and only cared about money. Then I had to take care of him, cooking cleaning and help him medically from all his health problems. Consider what is menat in Isaiah 4:1 when it says "Let us be called by your name and take away our reproach." The church doesn't care about you being unable to find a husband. Isaiah also says "More are the children of the baren than of her who has a husband." You may not be able to bear your own children, but you might be able to share in the joy of a sister wife having a child.

Obviously going to a true, Gospel preaching church will help with this BUT say you go on a date with someone that you don’t really know (friend of a friend or something) but you know they’re a Christian; when do you bring up these types of questions? Do you want kids? What do you believe are the roles of husband & wife? Etc.

Thank you for sharing. I have been on the "I want to explore my career" type of woman. I will try to shift my thinking towards motherhood as you said it is part of God's holy design. I will note though that God put us on the earth for more than childbearing/rearing. He is a creator, designer, etc. and made 6/7 days to work. Which is where those desires to work and create originate from. But yes, in desiring a husband, I can certainly see now, how it is important to become more focused on motherhood. Thanks again!

Looks do matter to a certain degree. Why would anybody date/marry somebody they aren't attracted to? If you read the Bible you will notice there are many passages about beautiful women or handsome men in the Old Testament especially. Song of Songs is a good example.
God also says our bodies are a temple. And that we should treat them as such. If we abuse and disrespect our bodies we are doing that to God. Remember a lot of obesity and unhealthy bodies are due to modern luxuries and high calorie foods. All throughout history only the rich rulers were overweight. Don't mistaken modern living and acceptance of all things as good.

So how much income should a man have in order to take care of his wife? How much should he make a year? 100k? 200k? Because if that's the case then men should go overseas and marry in other countries where the American dollar is strong. So many men talk about paying all of the bills and everything and it makes me think that yall are rich and wealthy living a mansion. It costs so much to live in America depending on where you at that a one income is hardly enough. It's like men in America have to keep n making more and more to pay for EVERYTHING while the wife stays at home with no income and then when the divorce comes, she'll take half of your money because she has no income, hasn't worked the whole time in the marriage, and she'll be left homeless.

Um most men want us women to pay for everything! The last relationship I had beat me up because I wouldn't pay half the rent and threatened to sell all my things if I didn't pay his rent! He drank all the time and only cared about money. Then I had to take care of him, cooking cleaning and help him medically from all his health problems. Most men today look at women is how they can use them for money.

Perhaps you did meet the right man, and you said "No" to God, because he had a wife, and you believed the words of Tertullian over the words of Scripture. Consider what is menat in Isaiah 4:1 when it says "Let us be called by your name and take away our reproach." The church doesn't care about you being unable to find a husband. Isaiah also says "More are the children of the baren than of her who has a husband." You may not be able to bear your own children, but you might be able to share in the joy of a sister wife having a child.

What is not biblical was when you said that women should not be stuck on looking for outwardly biblical or spiritually zealous men. One, because the whole purpose of a relationship is to learn to love your spouse the way Christ loved the church, 2 because we’re not supposed to be unequally yoked- so if you want to talk about the Bible all the time and your partner doesn’t, thats probably a sign. Three, bc zealous, godly men who love to praise, pray, worship and read scripture are out here 🙂.

Sort of agree, I think you might've misunderstood our point, which was that even a "Christian" man that goes to church may not be marriage material, and that women can still put in some effort in getting to know someone, and not just sit around waiting for him to fall down from the sky. My 2 pennies worth. I've actually heard mothers and grandmothers telling their daughters to chase money and financial stability over morals. Combine that with how women want a 6'2" dude who is rich and is sensative, sorry but that's less than 1% of the entire male population. I'm 40, in shape, take care of myself, run a business etc etc... I've opted out because feminists want the world but give zero credit to men. In the world society teaches men to treat women like objects, then they dress immodestly and get that wrong kind of attention, then ladies blame men for acting exactly how they wanted lol. Obviously going to a true, Gospel preaching church will help with this BUT say you go on a date with someone that you don’t really know (friend of a friend or something) but you know they’re a Christian; when do you bring up these types of questions? Do you want kids? What do you believe are the roles of husband & wife? Etc.
You can try asking other Christians that are married at a church or something.

I don’t care if it sounds shallow, I want to be attracted to the person God brings me. For some reason, I don’t see attractive looking women in the church. Majority of them look plain or average. I cannot be sexually attracted to someone I’m not interested in.
Thank you for sharing. I have been on the "I want to explore my career" type of woman. I will try to shift my thinking towards motherhood as you said it is part of God's holy design. I will note though that God put us on the earth for more than childbearing/rearing. He is a creator, designer, etc. and made 6/7 days to work. Which is where those desires to work and create originate from. But yes, in desiring a husband, I can certainly see now, how it is important to become more focused on motherhood. Thanks again!

Looks do matter to a certain degree. Why would anybody date/marry somebody they aren't attracted to? If you read the Bible you will notice there are many passages about beautiful women or handsome men in the Old Testament especially. Song of Songs is a good example.
God also says our bodies are a temple. And that we should treat them as such. If we abuse and disrespect our bodies we are doing that to God. Remember a lot of obesity and unhealthy bodies are due to modern luxuries and high calorie foods. All throughout history only the rich rulers were overweight.
Don't mistaken modern living and acceptance of all things as good.

So how much income should a man have in order to take care of his wife? How much should he make a year? 100k? 200k? Because if that's the case then men should go overseas and marry in other countries where the American dollar is strong. So many men talk about paying all of the bills and everything and it makes me think that yall are rich and wealthy living a mansion. It costs so much to live in America depending on where you at that a one income is hardly enough. It's like men in America have to keep n making more and more to pay for EVERYTHING while the wife stays at home with no income and then when the divorce comes, she'll take half of your money because she has no income, hasn't worked the whole time in the marriage, and she'll be left homeless.
