- I'm so glad to have the last of my plant growing areas tidied up before 2023 comes to a close and now I have all of 2024 to mess it up again 😀
As some of you know I have been purging a lot of my plants this year which includes a lot of Hoyas, so I thought I'd show you what's left of my collection whilst I give my cabinet a little TLC ❤️

Plant parenthood can be so hard sometimes. Knowing you need to do something but genuinely not wanting to deal with it is so real! I needed to chop my huge silver sword and I literally pretended it didn’t exist. Congrats on tackling this! I know it feels impossible sometimes lol
I pretended a lot of plants didn’t exist as well 😂😂😂 it was difficult pretending a whole ass cabinet didn’t exist but somehow I managed
oooh the long awaited hoya video! Also what a cool filming angle and location, i love the aesthetic!!! I hope that all your purging and refreshing is bringing fresh energy and vitality into your precious life :)
❤
Somehow getting rid of things became my whole identity this year 😂 thank you so much!!
Thanks for showing your Hoya. You have a beautiful collection there. 😊
Hoya content is my favorite!
Loved your hoyas and Doug. My 2 favorite things
Literally just finished your previous video, what perfect timing!! 💚
🥳🥳🥳
Thank you so much for doing a Hoya video, I love Hoyas
Yeah Hoyas!
I find myself getting away from larger growing plants to the smaller more compact ones. And Hoyas is where it’s at (even though they can get pretty big and unruly too). Really enjoyed your collection!
I just wish they weren’t such mealy bug magnets 🥲 thank you Elisabeth!!
Just finished watching charmaine
Now Alice!!
This is such a treat for the weekend ❤
Thank you so much Alice❤❤
I swear I get a little angst every time I have to repot Hoyas
I used to not understand people leaving their Hoyas in the same pot for like years but now I get it
It just aborts growth 😂😂every time I repot it 😢
It’s like you’ll pay for this surely 👿
They’re so gnarly and tough looking but act like such babies sometimes 😂
Yay!!! Hoyas! ❤❤
I have a Cao Dang just like yours and it's one of my favorites too! Underated for sure. Looks so much better in person than in photos! 20:15
Really enjoyed seeing a Hoya update and loved the lil snippet of Doug, he is so gorgeous!
The tangamus is really cute.
So glad you’re showing Hoyas!
I really enjoyed your Hoya content! You wondered about how many times you can cut a Hoya: nearly unlimited times, as long as the node is healthy. I have some Hoyas that have 5-6 leaves growing from a node. Have a great day :)
Doug is getting so big.
The snoring bit 😂
I thought you were talking to your partner and it tickled me so much.
I’m not that into Hoyas but the ones I have, I love. I was working on taming those beasts as I listened to this.
Hahahahahaha imagine my bf was just asleep on the floor beside me
alsooo i love it when you describe hoyas in detail, so satisfying
I enjoyed your very intelligent discussion of Hoyas. In fact, your intellect is such an important part of your whole channel and guides in substantial ways. Thank you for doing a Hoya video like this because you addressed those overgrown Hoyas in your cabinet. Courageous and refreshingly unique
I don’t know who the people are that you refer to by name (except Jing) and don’t know how I can find that info. Do they all have channels and do videos? If so, what are they?
Lauren, Charmaine, etc. who are they?
Lucky you. I’ve got mealies here. I need to spray more plants again.
Yesss hoyasss❤❤❤❤❤
I just found my tornado plant covered top and bottom with mealies. I soaked and scraped with my fingers to clean all the mealies off. I can feel them under my fingers. It’s so satisfying to scrape them off. But I’m going to try the soap in the alcohol. I repotted it cause the water wasn’t draining off the top of the soil. It was solid roots in top of the soil. No mealies found in the soil. Thank god. But I suspect it will take a while to get them under control
it is refreshing to see another background other than the plant room. Haha! More hoya videos pleaseee.
Doug's cameo 🥹
Hoya video yayyyy 🎉 I’m definitely not a hoya girl but I really enjoy watching them at other’s places 😀
I LOVED this! Super-late to the houseplant game, I'm all about hoyas now and was so satisfied with this. Your content is informative as well as soothing to watch. One of my favorite creators. And Doug couldn't be cuter.
Thank you Kym 🥹 it’s a great time to be into Hoyas now that they’re so so so much more affordable than before!!
Loved this video. Thank you for showing us your Hoya collection.
Wow! The lady one, the Hoya callystophillo is stunning
Rick, Huxley and Doug are so adorable! ❤️ Your living room is beautiful! Is that an Alocasia tiny dancer in the corner next to the tv? Thanks for the video - absolutely love your content ❤️
Ahh thank you!!
Next to the TV is a regular ZZ 😂 it gets probably like 10 FC’s of light which is why it doesn’t grow much foliage and therefore looks like an alocasia tiny dancer 🤣
@@youdontevengrowhere Omg! I can't believe I mistaked it with a tiny dancer 🫢 Sorry about that. It looks cool like that though 😂
Your collection is so beautiful. I love the idea of using pon for hoya, but I am intrigued by the tree fern soil for them. Hmmmm......
Tree fern soil has never let me down so I have a good feeling about it!
Don’t know how I missed this video…I just recently decided to add Hoyas to my collection. I didn’t before because I have quite a bit of vining plants already.
Now you need Doug dog for the top of the cabinet. That answers my question if how many dogs.
it looks soooo good I bet it’s such a relief! 🤩💖
I had to stare at that jungle everyday when I watched tv 🥲🥲
I know it would be quite the undertaking but I would love to see your entire anthurium collection! Or maybe a feature on some of your less-frequently-featured anthurium?
Love the Hoya content! 🌱
Lovely video.
Gorgeous and marvelous plants.
Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for your time.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
Ouuu I'm super interested in this! Ive finally seen the hype on a few types of hoya and added a couple to my collection recently, so its fun to see other people's collections! 🥰🪴
The black stripes are from being to close to your grow lights! Mine do it too!
I love love love you are going back to your love of Hoyas!!!! I so enjoyed this video. Your callistophylla is a beast!! All your hoyas are beautiful. Hoyas were my first love before anthurium and philodendron. I still want Hoya germany and hoya vietnam. Have a great day!!!❤
Thank you Neesy!!! 🫶🏻
Love your hoya collection and really enjoyed watching this video. It was really helpful how you talked through of each of your hoya and its future plan, motivates me to plan ahead for my hoyas as well👀
I know so little about Hoyas 😆 but I’m glad it was helpful!!
🔥🔥🔥
Love your videos! You should try growing your Hoya in PON with self watering set up. Makes things easier
Where is that cute glass planter of Hoya valmayorviana from? So cute
I used to be a Hoya hater and now I have 5 anthurium and 110 Hoya🥰🤣💀
Hoya Chicken Farm is not a hybrid, or at least not a man- made hybrid. It was found by EKW on a chicken farm, hence the name. :)
Alice, I think you have a globulosa ‘Cao Bang’ which is making me very envious (19:00)
I tried looking into the ID on the Hoya groups and it only made me more confused 🫠
I’m going by Basie Plants on TH-cam. He is obsessed by hoyas, owns hundreds and does a lot of research. He’s also pretty darn funny. I love your videos
Where is the grate on the top from our what is it called? I'm having a hard time finding something like that for my baggebos.
💚🖤♥️
When my plants get sticky look for aphids or mealies.
Sticky stuff? Doug at vermont hoyas has spoken about some hoya flowers that have excessive sticky sap so much so that he bags the blooms to catch it....I myself have never had a hoya thats' blooms are dripping nectar....thank you for sharing this!! ❤❤❤Hoyas
Ohhh that could be it, although I don’t recall seeing sap dripping off the blooms! Thank you!!
@@youdontevengrowhere yeah and I cannot remember which Hoya it was that he had bagged the blooms....not that helpful, lol, sorry
I want to try Hoya's what would you say is a good starter hoya.😊
Obovata is a great starter one! They’re very forgiving but they have nice wide leaves to show you when they’re thirsty, so you can get to know their watering needs.
Another nice one is Hoya linearis if you don’t want to deal with vines flying everywhere!
I’ve found most carnosa varieties quite easy going too 😊
Who is Rick. Is he your frenchie? I know Doug is a frenchie too. Do you have two or three dogs?
What cabinet is that and where can i get it?
Doug is so adorable 🥰 I had no idea you had so many hoyas. 😀🇨🇦
💚🪴💚🪴💚
Charmaine has chicken farm. Maybe you got it from her.
can i get a
HOYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I can’t hear the dog snores. But I imagine it’s distracting to you.
