Yea I use them for like my vining plants that have lost leaves and when I wrap them around the top of the soil sometimes you need something to keep them down close to the soil, so basically like a Bobby pin!!! Hope this helps!!
@@mandymanning4478 I’ve never thought of using them for that purpose. I used some old fashioned hairpins that are the same shape but when I take them out they are all rusty. These should solve this problem.
I got hit once again with the Hoya craze also in May. BUT my cats are not too respectful towards my likes of beautiful things ! You ordered 2 on my wishlist for this year. I do love the new fuzzy flowered ones, especially with silver or splashes. I am planning on building a huge hardwire cage to hold them and keep kitties away. My west window is their love spot, and I'm not sure why all of a sudden, kits have become naughty. Oh well, life is always exciting. 😊 Great choices and anxiously awaiting to see how well yours do. Don't forget to mention the growing conditions & soil mixes 1 year from now. Love your channel 💜🦚
I love my Hoya heuschkeliana variegata. My sunstresses and has the cutest little pink leaves coming in. The Hoya polyneura variegated is on my wishlist. Thanks for sharing your haul.
Talk about shocking, I have a hosta plant in the garden, 15+ years, and just last week, it shot up 2 new leaves, VARIEGATED! One leaf half green, other half creamy white (down the middle), and the 2nd is a mix of splash, so gorgeous! Mother Nature never fails to amaze.
Welcome to the amazing rabbit hole world of Hoya! I am so deep, it’s a little nuts. 😂 they are amazing plants. The leaves draw you in and the blooms literally hook you!
To the first shop: The packaging is so amazing! I had to smile when I saw the polyneura albo var. I bought myself one in January too 😂🪴The plants of the second shop are amazing to. It is so great to see, that you are happy with that gorgeous order.
Every Hoya starter I’ve gotten from Green Escape has grown like crazy. I’ve not had great luck with some of their other starters, but the Hoya have been really nice so far.
Hey Melissa Im not a Hoya person AT ALL but I have to admit you've purchased some pretty cutie patootie Hoya there! And I agree that the New Guinea Ghost is an eye catcher and the blooms on the other 2 are amazing. Looking forward to an update one yours bloom ☺
Love me some Hoya and your video! Many thanks for sharing these wonderful plants! They are all beautiful but my favorites are the Caudata and your Polyneura. I picked up a Polyneura Broget in December and I can’t wait to see some new growth on her. The other four Hoyas I got at the same time have already pushed out a few leaves on each plant. Happy growing to us all!👌🪴🥰
How funny! I got two Hoyas from ThePlantedMama a couple months ago (brevialata and rosita)! And I also got the variegated heuschkeliana and multiflora from TheGreenEscape too. (My multiflora is having some issues but it's putting out its 2nd bloom, they are soooo pretty!) Nice choices :D My caudata bloomed a few months back and they are the cutest little flowers for sure!
Ooh, I’ve got a multiflora. Mine is a frequent bloomer. Four times in 14 months. And this time I’ve got a second peduncle so I’m waiting for that one to bloom. They are stunning. When the blooming is done, I’m going to repot and chop and propagate to get a fuller and bushier plant.
I just ordered a Heuscheliana variegated and a Hoya lacunosa super silver from Plant Haven Toronto. I can’t wait until they get here! Happy you were able to get some wish list Hoyas 💚
i got a Heuschkeliana variegated last month. it was a rooted cutting but had 4 nodes. so i propped it and now i have 4 little rooted guys ready to fill out a tiny pot. it is rather exciting to watch them grow from little. no idea where i will be putting all the little hoya i have once they grow. lol
My daughter woke up this morning and told me you posted a hoya haul because she knew I'd be so excited! I'm also having a hoya moment. Loved them all, especially the double of the tiny mint leaves with darker margins!
The Polyneura Albo is gorgeous and the Heuschkeliana is stunning, I have one and it's thriving, the baby leaves come in pink too! I also hope to get my hands on a Multiflora some time. Great haul and your plants are beautiful 😊🪷💖
Oh my gosh, I watched this video today and then I went straight to Etsy to order a cutting of both variegated and non variegated hoya polyneura. They looked so cute! Also I stumbled across your channel about a month ago and your channel has become one of my favorites!
It's so funny you got 2 of the minty one-- I ordered from there last summer and when I ordered I got 2 as well! They're settled in now and growing and I just love it.
Hey Melissa, loved your haul. I too have just got cuttings of polyneura albomarginata and caudata sumatra. I have a small heushkeliana variegated and the new growth comes in pink, its so cute!! I cant wait for them to grow over the spring/summer here in the uk x
Love a good Hoya unboxing! I’m located in Tasmania & we have strict bio security rules in place which makes it harder to find uncommon Hoya. This means I have to almost live vicariously through other plant people 😂 I purchased a Caudata Sumatra because the blooms look so cute. I’ve had it for 3 years & it just won’t grow 😔 it just keeps dropping its new growth. There’s no sign of flat mites & I’ve tried changing the humidity. It’s not dying so I’ll keep hoping for some good growth 🤞🏻 😅
Hello Melissa! seeing that beautiful polyneura made me think about my sad green one... It stopped growing and I don't know why! I got a cutting that grew one single leaf, not even a set, one, in my care and it's been 6 months with no changes since then, I don't know what is it... There's not pests, i'm watering when the soil is dry, roots are okay, it's indoors so it has a stable temperature okay light situation, the only thing I haven't done is fetilizing but why would I if it's not growing? I don't know... I'm this close 👌 to chucking it away but I hope you see this and can give some insight! Anyways what a beautiful hoya haul, hoping to get some of them myself!💚💚
Aw don’t toss it 🫶🏻🥹 you mentioned light is okay but I would encourage possibly more light and try feeding it. It may have flat or broad mites and they’re super tiny you need a micropscope to see them. You can try spraying the leaves down with some diluted Castile soap once a week just in case.
The multifleura needs plenty of water as do all thin leafed hoyas. Mine is blooming but don't know how big they need to get before blooming. Hope you enjoy your new hoyas!
I’ve been on a Hoya kick too! That polyneura is EVERYTHING the caudata Sumatra is on my wish list too I put my heuskliana in stratum and it’s doing amazing Enjoy the new plant babies We’re all gonna be ordering from the planted mamma now 😂
They’re all so beautiful! I just recently acquired Hoya heaush. Var as a starter also. I have seen them sun stress a cute pink. I have the caudata Sumatra also, I’m loving that one right now. It’s finally starting to grow for me! I’m glad you got the Hoya bug 😅 I’m looking forward to your Hoya content 💚
Thank you!! I definitely need to sun stress it from all the comments! I think the pink will be so pretty 😍 I definitely need to repot and chop some of mine 😁
Very pretty plants. I was recently gifted 17 new hoya cuttings including the heuschkeliana variegata, almost doubling the number of varieties that I had already. Hoya Nummularioides is a favorite of mine if you don’t have that one.
My polyneura is a fast grower and once my NGG got settled it has taken off. Microdwarf is a wish list hoya for me, so excited to see it in your collection!
Oh my goodness I love the Polyneura. I fell in love with mine so the Variegated one is also on my wishlist. I will definitely be checking out that Etsy shop. Congratulations on your new plant babies. 😊
Hi Melissa, I am german and you can spell HEU like the beginning of HOYa, so like HOYschkeliana. :) Hope that helps you. I love all hoyas so much. I have different and ordered a bunch of rare cuttings a month before. I hope I get them rooted soon and bloom as soon as possible. :D
Melissa, with all of your experience, do you prefer PON or soil-less, or chunky all mix? I have tons of babies in stratum but cannot decide which substrate. I don't want bugs! That is why I am attracted to the PON. I love Planted Mama. Her plants are healthy and cute!
I think Hoyas are one of my favorites!😊I almost ordered some last night but i live in Michigan and our weather has been so unpredictable. Love all the new ones.
Hasn't it, tho . Soooo much rain, I do hope we turn to full-time tropical weather! I love Orchid's also but rather they grow outdoors. Michigan feels more like Florida is, of late.
YES! ITS HOYA TIME! Love this for you.. gotta catch em all 😂 New Guinea Ghost and heushceliana both sunstress so pretty! Your multiflora looks so tiny though, maybe it is the mini variety?
I love Hoyas and o have all of them except for the outer veriagted polyneura. They are crazy expensive but I may order from where you got yours. Beautiful haul enjoy!
Hello ,so pretty 💚,I have all of them and I'll tell you Multiflora is blooming non stop😅,my bet is,this one will be the first to bloom for you.Greetings from Poland, Irena 🌿💚
I love Hoya! I have about 40 types of Hoya. Of the ones that you got, I have all but the microdwarf. The New Guinea ghost (NGG), heuschkeliana, and caudata will sun stress. 😊NGG and heuschkeliana both sun stress pink. The caudata sun stresses to purple red.
Lovely video and beautiful Hoya haul! 💚 I actually have all of these, and love them all. The multiflora is a prolific bloomer. I love the blooms! I wanted to mention the microdwarf, which is a failry fast grower and gets so pretty and bushy. 🥰 That one, for me, tends to be pretty thirsty. Mine is currently in stratum, but I'll be moving her to pon soon. Happy growing! 💚
Beautiful! The Hoya Heuschkeliana variegata sun stresses with pink hue ❤ so pretty. I water mine when soil dries out and keep in high light. It has been a easy Hoya for me 😊
Thank you!! It will probably take some time but I’m going to try getting them into good light and I may get a bloom specific fertilizer for them to see if it will help.
Good morning, Melissa . Thanks for sharing the shops. I will definitely check them out & and order some Hoyas. Love them cute plants. I have a few Hoyas, the princes carnosa & one other ones. But I would love to order more of them. My favorite is the first one you opened up. I think it is the haya carnosa queen. Or I might be getting the name wrong. But I loved them. when the shops send free gifts too. They are very thoughtful . Have a blessed day 😊❤
@plantsbymelissa Thanks, I will look it up. Later, because I already ordered plants, I have to spread it around, or hubby will kill me. lol, kidding . 🤣. But yes, I'm definitely checking that hoya out. I have to replace a pink princess. I never get in another shop & never got refunded either, ugh. Sad but true. Anyway, I'm supposed to get my new one today. Hopefully, it is okay from another shop. Thanks Melissa ♥️
@@plantsbymelissa thank you! I'm being patient right now until I can get another shelf going because it's crowded over here! But I love buying slowly and getting just the right thing, plus I want to be a good Hoya mom before I spend big bucks on one, 🤣. They've been pretty easy so far. I'm so excited to watch yours grow 🪴✨
Hi Melissa, what pretty Hoyas , they are all pretty. Love those cute little small ones you got two of. I have one Heuschkliana variegated. Beautiful! take care question how many cats do you have?. So cute running around! ❤
I was looking at the Hoya Heuschkeliana from The Green Escape! 😊 I am trying to wait until spring to make my order but I’m glad to see they all made it to you okay! Thanks for the video! Enjoy your new babies 🌿🪴💚
Thank you! They’re not far from me so I think that’s why I love ordering there and the little plugs are so cute 😂 mine had 3 cuttings each hardly any roots :)
NS 12-323: These are name abbreviations and accession numbers. The NS, if I'm not mistaken, is for Nathalie Simonsson (person who discovered or cultivated that plant), and the other numbers are an identifier for the plant. Accession numbers and initials are kind of like a place-holder until the plant gets an official common name.
Love all your new goodies! The Polyneura Albo is my favorite. I am interested in your care tips for that Heuschkeliana. I have a hard time with that specific one and have just gotten another one to try again. It is so pretty and I need it to love me. 😆
Thank you! I’m so happy with them all ☺️ I actually just put them all into stratum earlier today in their own separate cups. They look so cute. The heuschkeliana had no roots lol. There was 3 tiny cuttings in each plug so I’ll keep them in stratum for a while until I get roots. I’ll probably do an aroid mix for some of them but hopefully this new one does okay for you! I’ve never had one before so hoping mine isn’t stubborn 😅
ooooo I only have a krimson queen & vareigated carnosa compacta 💚 thanks for sharing ! oh wow I live near Philly now I'm going to have to check out the shop lol
Loved this. 🥰 I'm a Hoya head 💚 I have around 32 different types of hoyas at the moment. However, I don't have a couple you just got 😂😂 I have a polyneura, but not the varigated. I want a multiflora so bad!! 😂😂 Hoyas are an addiction. Probably on that maranta level 😂😂
@plantsbymelissa Mine lately have been doing alot of " wall climbing." I'm now associating this to the incoming frequencies of the many solar flares. Then they sleep for 12+ hours. UPGRADES not only effecting people. We learn to deal, all must adapt.
The Hoya Polyneura has lovely variegations. My Hoya Heuschkelian i have grown out of love with it. Also my Ficus Shivereana too. But Facebook Market place is such a pain to sell on.
The stakes hold the Hoyas into the soil. You clip them over them branch or leaf into the soil. They’re called strawberry clips.
And the white plastic flat items are actually tags that you write the name of the plant on.
oh ok thanks! Never heard of them 🙈 My brain isn't understanding how they work lol

But I would love to order more of them. My favorite is the first one you opened up. I think it is the haya carnosa queen. Or I might be getting the name wrong. But I loved them. when the shops send free gifts too. They are very thoughtful . Have a blessed day 😊❤
Good morning!! oh the first one was the polyneura albomarginata! Free gifts are so nice 🥹 You have an amazing day as well! 🥰
@plantsbymelissa
Thanks, I will look it up.
What a fabulous hoya haul! ❤
Thank you!! 😁🌿
Definitely the poly!!
It’s so pretty 🤩
That one is on my wishlist too!!! The polyneura variegated. How fun so cute🌿✨💚
It's soo pretty!! I got so lucky to find this little one 🥹 Hoping you can get yours soon!!
Would love to have the poly, those leaves are gorgeous.
They’re so pretty!! I feel like I got super lucky to find this 🥹
Your Greene is cute. I’ve seen micro dwarf plants on Etsy before. Most with numbers instead of a name.
Hi Melissa, I love Hoyas too. Could you do a care video about them? Thank you. 😊
Hi! Can you please do a video on how to remove the plants from the sponge plugs? Thanks.
Hi Melissa, what pretty Hoyas , they are all pretty. Love those cute little small ones you got two of. I have one Heuschkliana variegated. Beautiful! take care question how many cats do you have?. So cute running around! ❤
So happy with them! I have 3 cats! 😁🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈
Gonna put in a big spring order of my most wanted plants and getting excited! They are so cute 🥰
Oh awesome! I didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼
Thank you for that great share !
Kinda in resemblance to the Orchid's new varieties. Makes sense.
Definitely do! She is so sweet and her plants are packaged so well 🥰
Multiflora was my favorite. ❤️ ❤❤
Getting on Etsy NOW!!
Im getting a big haul of succulents im in too them now the colors everything just fall in love
oh nice!! they're fun!!
Loved this. 🥰 I'm a Hoya head 💚 I have around 32 different types of hoyas at the moment. However, I don't have a couple you just got 😂😂 I have a polyneura, but not the varigated. I want a multiflora so bad!! 😂😂 Hoyas are an addiction. Probably on that maranta level 😂😂
amazing packaging! a happy box!
Yes!! So good! 🥹🌸
The cats behind you were doing kitty “parkour” Jumping from piece of furniture to another.
🤣 they had the zoomies!
@plantsbymelissa
Mine lately have been doing alot of " wall climbing."
I'm now associating this to the incoming frequencies of the many solar flares. Then they sleep for 12+ hours. UPGRADES not only effecting people. We learn to deal, all must adapt.
heuschkeliana sunstresses and the leaves turn pink!
Omg the Hoya are beautiful they don’t look real ❤
Such beauties!! I can’t wait until they grow more ☺️🌸
The Hoya Polyneura has lovely variegations. My Hoya Heuschkelian i have grown out of love with it. Also my Ficus Shivereana too. But Facebook Market place is such a pain to sell on.
Facebook has lots of scammers and why I am not active on there. Sorry you're not loving those two anymore 🥲
Your cats chasing each other in the back ground ❤❤❤😂😂😂
😂😂 the siblings love to chase each other!
Love them 😍😍
I Love Green Escape too❤
I love all the little plants I've gotten from them. They're growing so nicely now :)
Omg, I need to find that tissue paper! I like my eucalyptus one, but monstera tissue paper??? 😍
I found some on Amazon! If you type in monstera tissue paper it pops up! 😁
The multiflora is a very thirsty Hoya and mine blooms constantly.
Thank you for sharing!! 🫶🏻
