What an elegant and sympathetic presentation of you wonderful hoyas 👏👏👏!!! Cherish the ones from your grandma, they're special❤! I also have one (out of nine) from my grandma. The plant is now over 40 years old and the fact that my grandma died years ago brings back memories. Good luck with your hoyas and your channel, I'll start following you as well 🤗.
Congrats on getting monetized! Really happy for you! All of your hoya look like they are doing so well. The hoya macrophylla albo marginata is a really rewarding hoya. I would definitely recommend putting it outside for the summer. It can take a lot of light and becomes so variegated that it looks like a whole different plant. Can't wait to see what your channel has in store for the future!
I got the last hoya for a planty friend for Christmas... She was so flabbergasted that I found it at a big box store, and she loves it! You have definately been a highlight of my year as well. I have many of the Hoya that you have and I learned a lot today. Hoping to save my curtisiii..ack
You’re a great friend for getting her that Hoya! I could only DREAM of having friends into plants 🌱 thanks for watching and sticking around. It means so much
What a lovely collection! As for trellissing the “heavier leaf” hoyas I would suggest - a tower trellis (perhaps home made from garden fence) - or two (bamboo) hoops crossed and bound together at the top These provide more stability
I find carnosas (The princess) to be the hardiest of my small Hoya collection. Mine should’ve die of dry rot and, I realize now, was on survival mode for a long time but she is thriving now. What a trooper 😊 Love Australis Lisa new leaves come in magenta pink mine keep growing upward like a tree no vining Dreaming of microphylla large leaf right now
Gotta love the large leaves. The Lisa is a true stunner but it sucks you’re having issues with the princess. She’s a trooper for sure though and I predict she will flower for you this year. 😉
I just discovered your channel and i love your vibe 😊🌿 I am getting more into hoya varieties, too. (My original one is a good ol' Carnosa, about 20 years old, blooms profusely, and covers most of my bathroom ceiling!) My linearis is about the same size as yours and is actually getting some flower spurs for the first time! Hopefully your will soon, too! They are really hard to notice - i have been finding them at the ends of each long stem....
This is the second show that I have seen and I enjoy both of them. I’m glad I decided to watch you for the first time and make your plant show one of my many plant shows to watch. Great job
GM. I love hoyas!! I have about 10 in my collection and I'm going to get more. I had a krimson princess out during the summer. It grew so lovely and got heavily root bound. Enjoy them.
New subscriber here! Congratulations on everything! I hope whatever was giving you stress or emotional ups and downs has been fixed and cleared. God Bless! I am feeling every last hoya you showed and yes, I do have several that you showed. My Hoya Curtisii went through something too. When I brought it home, it was not feeling my environment at the beginning. The leaves were yellowing and dropping like flies. Once it acclimated to my space, it took off. Now I have it on a trellis and she ready! It has nice flowered for me yet. I look forward to that happening. Either way, enjoyed the video, loved the comment about the natural hair when speaking about your hoya hindu rope, terra cotta pots do give a certain look to any plant, hope your channel continues to grow so that you can make this a permanent thing (I am hoping it can be my side hustle), and keep buying more hoya (there are so many more out there, you won't have enough space and yet you will). Look forward to watching more of your videos. Loving that so many black woman are popping up on my feed for plants!
Thank you for your kind words. It’s great to know that there’s hope for my curtisii after all lol I’m glad you enjoyed the video and look forwarded to hearing more from you.
I’m glad I found your channel and I love your Hoyas! I have several of the same ones you do but mine are not nearly as large. I think it’s the northwest facing window I have them in. If you want really soft, fuzzy leaves, get a Hoya Coronaria. I’ve had my Hoya Gracilis for about 2 years and it started flowering just before Christmas 2023. It’s probably about the same size as yours. Your Grandma is on point! Move the plants outside for the spring and summer (and part of the fall depending on where you live). Also, don’t say thank you for a plant or it will die… yes, I’ve had that happen to me….
Yes grandma is always right! Hi there I’m so glad you like it here. It’s so strange someone referring to any of my Hoyas as “large” because they were so small when. I got them. They just grow up right before your eyes!
Hello, absolutely beautiful Hoyas. Me being a Hoya lover & have alot of the Hoyas you shown. I purchase terra cotta pots with no drainage holes & have my husband drill holes with a small drill bit. Absolutely do not harm the pot. I also want to place my Hoyas outdoors but the thought of even one bug not only in my plant but in our home..I just can't.( stink bugs 😮) Thank You
Great collection and I love the pubicalix splash too! I have one outside and I realized I had it climbing all around, so it's not really possible to bring it in. It's protected and I'm in NE Florida, so fingers crossed! All my outside Hoyas grew SO much this year! I hope your year in 2024 improves! I look forward to your videos. I'd love to lear more about PON, I'll look to see if you already have a video on that, but if not maybe you can make one sometime! ❤❤
I don't own any yet and Hoya Wilbur Graves is on my wishlist. Loved this walkthrough of your beautiful Hoya collection and excited to get to know you and the rest of your collection!!
Are you loooing for a full plant or are you willing to root one out? Or both? I ask because I was having trouble finding reasonably priced plants (ie: they were 4 or 5 leaves for $50+, which I’d pay for something with bigger leaves). I lucked out and found a seller who does both Chinese and Russian Wilbur Graves for $18 each. 3-4 leaf cuttings. If you’re interested in rooting, let me know. I’ll give you their info.^^
Hi Kayla, Love this video🙌🏽. I just started my Hoya journey last month and I am very excited to see your collection. I have added all of your Hoya’s mentioned to my plant wish list!! Happy growing 🌿
Okay, I have all the Hoya you do, love my paculatta! May I suggest (if you don’t already) use distilled water on the linneairus, I too had a lot of trouble with this Hoya. So what I did is chop it all into single node cuttings and water it daily with distilled water(Ph can matter with some plants (like ferns too)) I’m in Las Vegas and our water is hard and alkali. Ph running 7.8 to 8.0 - 6.5 is optimal 💚😎💚
I have a water softener so I usually just use the sink. No problems with it so far and I rooted a piece pretty easily in pon. I just wish it was bigger so bad!
So wierd, my icenesis has very narrow leaves. Do they come in different variants? Regarding the shoots on hoya australis Lisa - I don't think this type of hoya does that. I have all three, because i do love australis - the inner variegared Lisa, the outer variegated albomarginata, and the regular green form. None of them ever throw any shoots, which is indeed different from other hoyas. Lovely collection, keep them coming :)!
im not sure if they come in various forms to be honest. Id be interested to see a narrow form. Yes I love that the Australis doesn't have octopus arms everywhere lol
My favorite was the Macrophylla Red! I’d never seen that one before and now it’s on my list. Second and third are the Australis Lisa and the Sunrise which were already on my list. They were all lovely though!
Isn’t she gorgeous?! I really am wondering about it just being so stressed though. Get all the Hoyas you can so we can compare and share tips! Thanks for watching
Orchids get those reddish brown spots too when they get a lot of light. If the leaves look healthy, the freckles are probably ok. I got a pubicalix splash from HD this year and made a round trellis from a wire hanger. I most always take a picture of plants when I buy them and boy has this plant grown and gotten splashy. Love your callistophyla
Hi Kayla, lovely video. Only two small suggestions: maybe tag the videos (I don't do videos so I don't know the terminology) along the timeline as you start to talk about each different species or variety, so that we can go back and find them easily. And...don't forget to breathe while you are talking. You go very fast and it seems like you're not breathing at all. Congrats on getting monetized and all best wishes for this new year.
@GardenOfKayland I think they mean the time stamps that show up on the playback bar at the bottom of the video that many youtubers do when they are going to be talking about a lot of different things.
@jodidelong3663 I think it seems like she’s not taking a chance to breathe because of editing (ie: instead of leaving a pause/breath, there’s a cut to more talking). The speed/tone is quite nice imo. But we all have our preferences.:D I think you can change playback speed to something slower if you prefer.
Many thanks for this tour of your beautiful Hoyas! Such a joy to watch.🥰. You have a great collection. I especially love larger leaf Hoyas and if they’re chunky, that’s even better.😊. Having said this, your Curtisii caught my eye for this video. Mine struggled the first two years but this year she improved and grew well. Typically I like large full pots when it comes to my plants but the small Curtisii is just so stinking cute! What you gonna do? The heart wants what the heart wants! Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰
Love seeing your hoya collection. So beautiful! And I love that shelf of plants behind you. Vertical space for the win! 😊
vertical space for the win every time time haha thanks for stopping by!

Your Grandma is correct! I put many of my plants outside during the summer and they love it. 💚🪴💚
Love it!! Grandma is always right!
OMG that 3rd one was looking ❤❤❤. Big ol green apples.
Hello from Puerto Rico!! You have nice Hoyas!! Most of mine are in Pon with some exceptions. Enjoy!! 🪴
Your hoyas are gorgeous ❤. 2024 is my year of Hoyas and Aglonemas 🤗
Thanks a bunch and happy planting 🥰
Merry Christmas 🙏🏾

Me too! Thank you!
Best Hoya collection I have seen! Good work🎉
Yay! Thank you!
I have only one Hoya fungi pink 31:05 31:09 I’m new to my plant hobby. But I think I will be getting more lol

Thanks!
You bet!
That macrophylla red looks like a macrophylla Sarawak. I have one and it's one of my favorites!
Ya know, you’re actually right. In fact I think it is. 🤨 I got duped but good duped lol
beautiful hoya collection
Many many thanks
I had the same "mold" growing on my hoya, and I took rubbing alcohol and a qtip and wiped it off.
What a lovely collection!

Loved seeing all your beautiful hoyas❤ my favorite hoya would have to be the hoya linerirs but I just absolutely love all the hoyas😊❤❤
My little baby linearis wants to be a show stopper so bad. She’s on her way lol Hoyas are amazing! Thanks for watching
New subscriber here! Love your Hoya!! They become addictive. I want to do an entire Hoya collection but I think I might be at 100 😅
Thanks you and welcome!!
You have an amazing collection, this was a great video!
Thank you so much!
Your collection is amazing!
My favorite is the fishtail hoya! She is gorgeous!
I love the small clay pots as well. So cute. ❤️ 😊
She is gorgeous right! I’m so happy I have one now. Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it

How nice if you, Thanks for subbing!
@GardenOfKayland You're a natural in front of the camera, and you have gorgeous hoya! You're little one is cute!
I loved this video! Pretty Hoyas!
Thanks so much!
I got an icensus too over the summer. The flowers are supposed to smell amazing. My huge Krimson Princess bloomed this year! Yeah, I need more Hoyas.
WE ALL NEED MORE! 😂😂😂

Hoyas are my favorite houseplants. My favorite at the moment is Hoya Sunrise.
I just found one recently and I was SO happy!!
Your collection is beautiful! I love the one you got from your grandma. Do you sell cuttings?
I don’t sell them but I do giveaways during the growing season. I’ll keep you in mind. 😉

Maybe once a year or so. It’s not bad, it could be better. We have Well water
Hi new subscriber 💚
I love the Hoya Lisa probably because that’s my name. Love your collection ❤
Let’s stay connected 😊
What a lovely name! Welcome and thank you for subscribing

Hoya pachyclada is the name of your gift from grandma. 😅
The Hoya you got from your grandma it’s Hoya pachyclada
You’re right! I eventually found the name but let’s just say I had to screenshot it and refer back to it often lol thanks!
Hello. Where did you get the pot the Macrophylla Red from?
Walmart for like $5!
Spray the gracilis with an insecticidal/fungicide spray, maybe... cut off that leaf, maybe.
Or maybe BOTH! Lol thanks for watching

What is pond?
Pon is a semi- hydro substrate. Kinda like Leca but made of different materials and a lot finer.
